Abstract

This study aims to see the influence of chemical addition factors such as Alum, Soda ash, and Flocculand in external water treatment on water purification that will be used in processing in palm oil mills does not form scale / sediment on the walls, especially at boiler stations / boilers. This study was conducted in the laboratory using jartes with each triplo experiment / 3 times with the addition of a predetermined chemical dose and seen the turbidity / level of clarity and recorded processed into data. Then the results of the recapitulation of the research data obtained will be processed using the  statistical analysis method using the complete random design (RAL) method of 3 factorials and continued with the results of the anova / fingerprint test table and the data processing will use the help of the Microsoft Excel application. From the results of the research obtained using the RAL (Complete Random Design) method 3 factorials the result that the influence of the addition of alum and flocculant chemicals will have a real effect on water purification which means  that the Fhitung > Ftabel  value, then Ho is rejected, alum and flocculants have the function of forming flocs that aim to precipitate dirt so that the water can be purified, it is very dominantly needed,  While on the addition of chemical soda ash with the result of the decision obtained F count 0.186746989 < F table 3.168245967 So it can be concluded that Ho is accepted at the real level of ά.  which means that the treatment has no real effect on the observed response. This is because soda ash has a function that can only be used as a pH regulator for the water to be purified in the palm oil mill.

Abstract

Dalam Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lokasi dan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian pada UMKM Burger Bunda di Dolok Masihul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan data primer dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini rata-rata perhari pengunjung UMKM Burger Bunda di Dolok Masihul. Metode penarikan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan simple random sampling dengan rumus slovin sehingga diperoleh 56 sampel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji realibilitas, analisis regresi linear berganda, uji asumsi klasik (uji normalitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heteroskedastisitas), uji hipotesis (uji signifikan parsial, uji signifikan simultan) dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial lokasi berpengaruh terhadap Keputusan Pembelian, Harga berpengaruh terhadap Keputusan Pembelian. Sedangkan secara simultan lokasi dan harga berpengaruh terhadap Keputusan Pembelian.

Abstract

Es Kristal Pratama merupakan salah satu industri makanan yang berkembang sejak tahun 2017. Dalam proses produksinya, pabrik ini mnggunakan mesin pompa, cooling tower, condenser, compressor dan tower tube. Akan tetapi, diantara mesin yang digunakan terdapat mesin yang sering mengalami kerusakan yaitu mesin pompa. Hal tersebut membuat proses produksi berhenti beroperasi dan tentunya tidak diinginkan perusahaan karena membuat perusahaan merugi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meminimalisasi kerusakan dengan menentukan biaya perawatan dan jadwal perawatan mesin pompa menggunakan metode preventive maintenance policy. Adapun langkah-langkah dalam penelitian ini dimulai dari perhitungan jumlah breakdown komulatif, perhitungan rata-rata breakdown per bulan, menghitung biaya repair, biaya preventive maintenance per bulan hingga perhitungan total biaya perawatan. Dari hasil perhitungan, untuk komponen belt didapat biaya total perawatan sebesar Rp 168.507,62 dengan periode 4 bulan sekali. Untuk komponen bearing 6306 didapat biaya total perawatan sebesar Rp 212.912,59 dengan periode 5 bulan sekali. Sedangkan untuk. komponen bearing 6304 dilakukan perawatan dengan periode 5 bulan sekali dengan biaya perawatan sebesar Rp 218.959,13.

Abstract

Economic growth in Indonesia is influenced by various factors, one of which is the involvement of UMKM. In accordance with the 1945 Constitution article 33 paragraph 4, UMKM are part of the national economy with an independent perspective and have great potential to improve people's welfare. The parties responsible for developing and fostering UMKM are the Government, Business Entities and the community, including Universities. Empowerment of UMKM through the provision of mentoring facilities and strengthening assistance aims to grow and improve the capabilities and competitiveness of these UMKM. One of the Terasi entrepreneurs in Pulau Kampai Village who has been producing terasi for more than 10 years, has marketed his products to various regions in North Sumatra and Aceh as well as other areas. The large demand for terasi  produced makes it unable to supply. This is because the existing machines are used today are small capacity. Therefore, the UISU Faculty of Engineering has provided assistance in the form of terasi processing machine with a larger capacity. It is hoped that with the use of this assistance machine, its production capacity will increase while at the same time being able to meet the ever-increasing demand.

Abstract

Electrode shielded arc welding or better known as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) is welding using an electric arc as a metal melt heater. An electric arc is formed between the shielded electrode and the base metal. Because of the heat from the electric arc, the base metal and the tip of the electrode melt and freeze together (Wryosumarto, 2004). With the ability of reason, humans are able to use metal as a very vital life aid. Various kinds of machine construction, buildings and others can be created in the presence of metal. The metal raises the need for assembly or joining technology. One such connection technology is by welding (welding). The purpose of the Occupational Health and Safety Counseling for SMAW Welding Workshop Operators in Gang Buntu Village, Medan Timur District, Medan City are: So that the welding company makes procedures and rules for occupational health and safety in the workplace. Welding industry companies provide Personal Protective Equipment (ADP) for welding operators. Because the issue of occupational health and safety is very important to get attention because it is directly related to the productivity and efficiency of workers.

Abstract

The moisture content in palm kernels is one of the crucial factors influencing the quality and productivity of palm oil production. This research aims to analyze the effect of temperature on the moisture content in palm kernels at the Seed Silo in the Kernel Crushing Plant Unit of PT. Smart Tbk, Belawan, using the Complete Randomized Design (CRD) method and Simple Linear Regression. The kernels were collected from several plots of oil palm plantations spread across certain areas. In the process, it is essential to understand how temperature affects the moisture content in the kernels. The study was conducted with four repetitions for each experiment to determine the moisture content analysis data of the kernels in the Seed Silo. The results of the moisture content reduction calculations showed an optimum temperature of 100°C with the lowest moisture content of 6.26%. Based on the Complete Randomized Design (CRD) method, the results showed that the F-calculated value of 3.12 was greater than the F-table value of 2.95, meaning that H0 was rejected (temperature does not affect moisture content) and H1 was accepted (temperature affects moisture content). It can be concluded that the experiments at each given temperature significantly affected the resulting moisture content. Then, using the Simple Linear Regression method, a correlation coefficient value of -1.00 was obtained, indicating a perfect negative correlation between temperature (X) and moisture content (Y). The coefficient value indicates the strength of the relationship between variables X and Y. Simple linear regression shows that the higher the temperature, the lower the moisture content in the palm kernels. The practical implications can include recommendations for optimal temperature settings in the handling and processing of palm kernels to improve the quality and productivity of the production output.
