Abstract

The focus of this study is to examine the design development of multicultural value-based Islamic education learning models at the high school level. This research is qualitative research. Data collection is done by observation, interview, and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that, the design of the development of the learning model that determined multicultural values, which were integrated in the Islamic Religious Education subject, b) syllabus, c) lesson plan, d) used the Islamic education learning model based on multicultural values, and c) conducted an assessment towards the process of learning activities, which is a follow-up to learning, the approach to developing learning models, namely the approach to justice and equality without discrimination, called cultural pluralism, which provides opportunities and freedom for all elements to show and develop their respective identities, both from language, ethnicity, religion and so on. While developing models of Islamic education learning based on multicultural values ​​because; a) multicultural education is not a special subject, b) promotes equality between students of different backgrounds, c) the diversity of students that causes misunderstandings that can lead to disputes between fellow students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategies of teachers of the Qur'an and hadith subjects in improving the learning achievement of students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Khairaat Biromaru. The method is qualitative research, with data collection techniques namely; observation, interview and documentation. By using analytical techniques; data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Data verification uses three methods namely deductive, inductive and comparative. Research results show that by using expository learning strategies with lecture, training or group work methods in teaching it can make it easier for teachers to control students to learn in accordance with the objectives to be achieved in the Al-Khairaat Biromaru Madrasah (MTs) Al-Khairaat Biromaru namely to increase learning achievement. In addition, the selection of media in teaching is also highly considered by Madrasas, especially Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Khairaat Biromaru because it is one of the determinants to motivate students so that their learning achievement increases, for example in the form of cardboard paper written by the teacher containing verses of Al-qur'an or hadith, or by showing videos that match the material.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discusses the practice of cousin marriage in the community of Kalola Village, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi. This study uses qualitative methods and data was gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and written material. Data analysis was analyzed using a grounded theory approach. The results showed that the learning participation of students in the implementation of the cooperative learning model type Group Investigation before, namely: from 20 students that, the results of student participation in interaction activities were classified as low seeing the students, compiling only 7 people, responding (asking and answering ) only 5 people and accepted in the teacher's explanation only 10 people and and the indicator of students' learning participation was low as seen from the skill scores of these students, while after the implementation of the cooperative learning modeltype group investigation experienced a significant increase, there were 20 students. That the results of student participation in interaction activities compose 19 people, respond (ask and answer) 14 people, and accept in the teacher's explanation 14 people and indicators of increasing student learning participation also increase, it can be seen that the skill value of these students.

Abstract

This thesis examines the Implementation of Pluralist Education at SMP Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu. The school opens for learning opportunities for every student across religions, ethnicities, races and cultures. This school aims to educate all children of the nation, both Muslim and non-Muslim. The research used qualitative method with phenomenological approach. The data were collected through various instruments: observation, interviews and documentation. The sample are a non-Muslim Educator, seven Muslim educators, two Muslim students and six non-Muslim students. Based on the category, all samples played an active role in the application of pluralist education at Al-Azhar Mandiri Junior High School. This study found that pluralist education had been carried out since 1992, with a reference to the school motto of Smart and Moral. It motivates students to be smart but not being arrogant. Non-Muslim students remain in class when Islamic studies take place, and the teacher does not object. The application of Pluralist Education to the students is carried out in the form of growing tasamuh attitude (tolerance), building cooperation in group study and constructing a non-discriminative action based on SARA as well as mutual respect between fellow students.

Abstract

The objective of the paper is to find out the strategy of Isalamic education teachers in embedding multicultural values at a senior high school in Palu. The study used a qualitative case study method. Data were gathered through direct observation, un-depth interviews with the school’s teachers, and written material analyses. This study found that the teachers of the school embedded multicultural values through humanistic approach in taching and daily school’s interaction. Students were given tolerance understanding to respect religion and ethnicity differences. The curriculum of the school was also redusugned by integrating multicultural values. Intolerance attitudes were strongy prohibited and stric rules to respect each other were imposed. Islamic education teachers were imposed to teached moderate Islamic teachings which respect multicultural values. Radical Islamic views were prohibited to teach in the school. Muslim and non-Muslim students were treated equally regarding their views and beliefs.

Abstract

Implementation of morals of faith Learning is the central pillar in shaping the character of good students so that schools have their value in implementing educational programs. This study aims to determine the entire series of implementation of morals of faith learning in madrasas. The study used qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and written documents. Based on the results of data analysis using Behavioristic learning theory, it shows that the learning of morals of faith is carried out by reinforcing the form of advice before and after the learning is carried out. Then students are given a stimulus in the form of awards when learning is carried out well and given guidance again if students have not achieved the learning objectives well. Furthermore, the teacher adapts according to the learning conditions faced in the classroom. This study also shows that learning morals of faith is to instil a strong belief in students in Allah SWT. This form of learning is carried out through direct face-to-face and online learning (E-Learning). Morals of faith learning is also carried out in a combination between lectures, question and answer discussions and exemplary methods.

Abstract

This study discusses the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers and manners in instilling character values at Al-Azhar MandiriPalu Junior High School. The formulation of the problem in this study is 1) what are the strategy of Islamic religious education and morals teachers in instilling character values at Al-Azhar MandiriPalu Junior High School? 2) what are the obstacles and solutions provided in instilling character values in Al-Azhar MandiriPalu Junior High School? The objectives of this study are 1) to find out the strategies used by Islamic religious education and morals teachers in instilling character values at Al-Azhar MandiriPalu Junior High School. 2) to explain the constraints and solutions provided in instilling character values in Al-Azhar MandiriPalu Junior High School. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive informant exposure techniques, and this study used data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and analysis of documentation. Then the data obtained were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, data verification, and draw conclusions. The results of this study indicate that 1) the strategy used by Islamic religious and moral education teachers in instilling character values ​​both inside and outside the classroom is a) habituation, so that students get used to carrying out the characters being taught, such as discipline, arriving on time at school and others, b) giving advice so that students are motivated and encouraged to do things that the teacher advises during learning, c) set a good example for students with regard to educational values character, d) emphasis strategy, emphasizing doing or applying the material that has been taught in everyday life such as justice and honesty material, e) role-playing, so that students can emulate the role-playing 2) the obstacles faced namely a) some students are spoiled, b) have not been able to understand all students, c) students are less focused on following the lesson learning, d) the network is difficult and long. 3) solutions to overcoming these obstacles include a) taking a personal approach, b) giving a warning to students who make mistakes such as dressing untidy and others, and c) coordinating with class teachers and guidance counsellors in overcoming problems faced by students.
