Abstract

Abstract: The high civilization will be achieved  if  humans are able to transform themselves as the capital for social transformation, while the social transformation will occur if humans have a strong character and personality to deal with the dynamics of the times. The prophetic mission of Islamic education is to educate people to have a noble character or prophetic consciousness, that is the awareness to build an advanced and civilized life, upholding the universal human principles based on the pure and strong theological ethics, and developing science and technology which ensures the continuity of human civilization.Kata Kunci: karakter, transformasi sosial, kemajuan dan peradaban

Abstract

Islam is a religion of peace. Therefore, Islam accommodates differences in religions, ethnics, languages, and cultures. Islam also recommends that peace culture be established at any time and place. One of the places where peace culture can be established is through class  management at schools.  Based on this, class should be managed by employing socio-emotional principles such as  mutual appreciating, mutual understanding, and mutual respecting, both between students and students and students and teachers.Kata Kunci: budaya damai, konflik, sekolah, manajeman kelas

Abstract

Current finding indicates that in humans there exist some potencies,  that is  intellectual quotient (IQ), emotional quotient and spiritual quotient (SQ).  Intellectual quotient  serves as a quotient in logics and  mathematics as well as other sciences, centered on the left brain. Emotional quotient serves as a social quotient, in establishing relationship with others and in building an empathy,  centered on the right brain. Spiritual quotient (SQ) serves as a quotient lies on how to find the meaning of life. In the Qur’an we find some verses elucidating those human quotients  such as ,aql, qalb, ruh dan nafs. Whenever the three human potencies, ruh, aql, dan qalb work well, they will result in perfect humans, but whenever nafs dominates the three potencies, it will result in evil humans.   Kata Kunci : Kecerdasan intelektual, kecerdasan emosional,                        kecerdasan spiritual, aql , qalb , ruh , nafs

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter adalah kata kunci untuk membentuk dan memperkuat kepribadian anak bangsa. Kartakter yang kuat merupakan modal utama dalam mengembangkan bangsa yang berperadaban untuk memasuki percaturan dan persaingan yang semakin mengglobal. Bangsa yang berkarakter kuat sangat ditentukan oleh proses pendidikan. Proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran yang berkarakter merupakan kunci utama bagi terbentuknya kepribadian yang berkarakter, hal ini sebagaimana ditunjukkan oleh proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran yang dilalui dan dikembangkan oleh Rasulullah saw.
