Abstract

The transportation industry heavily depends on effective human resource management. PT Blue Bird Tbk, a leading transportation company in Indonesia, requires an information management system to efficiently oversee its human resources, particularly the operational team. This study aims to create a website driver attendance monitoring framework for implementation at PT Blue Bird Tbk. The goal is to enhance operational team management efficiency by providing a web-based application that assists in work scheduling and attendance tracking. Besides offering flexibility in data management, the system enables access to real-time information. Using the waterfall model for software development, the research encompasses the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. During the analysis phase, Data was gathered by means of firsthand observation and interviews to understand existing business processes. The application was developed with ReactJS and Go for the user interface and system logic, while MySQL was utilized for database management. The black box technique test findings demonstrate that all features in the web-based driver attendance monitoring information system function properly. This research resulted when creating and designing a web-based system that allows real-time and efficient monitoring of driver attendance. Thus, the management of PT Blue Bird Tbk can monitor driver attendance more effectively.

Abstract

The Karang Taruna youth organization plays a vital role as a social driver in urban areas, specifically, the Duri Pulo chapter in Central Jakarta mobilizes young people to participate actively in various social activities. However, many members face challenges in translating their ideas and work programs into communicative visual presentations due to limited graphic design skills and time constraints. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the digital literacy of these youths through training on creating presentations using artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative comprises four stages: preparation, an introduction to basic AI concepts, hands-on practical training, and a final phase of evaluation and mentoring. Attended by Karang Taruna administrators and youth members, the training proceeded smoothly and was met with great enthusiasm. Through hands-on practice, participants successfully grasped the utility of AI and learned to craft prompts to generate professional visual presentation designs. Participants are now capable of independently designing interactive presentations within a short timeframe. The training proved effective in boosting the youths' creativity, work efficiency, and confidence in communicating their program initiatives to the community and stakeholders.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity was conducted in Sidowayah Village, Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency, with the aim of enhancing community capacity to utilize digital technology in support of Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) services, MSME development, and the promotion of the village as a tourism destination. The challenges faced by the partners included suboptimal village information channels, low adoption of digital technology in MSME marketing, and limited promotion of the village's tourism potential. The implementation methods involved surveying and identifying partner needs, designing and developing a BUMDes website, conducting website usage outreach, providing digital marketing training for MSME operators, assisting with QRIS implementation, adding business locations to Google Maps, educating the community on social media and e-commerce usage, and documenting and publicizing the village's tourism potential. The results demonstrated that the BUMDes website successfully served as a village information and promotion platform manageable by the village government. MSME operators gained a better understanding of digital marketing, cashless payments, and the use of digital platforms to expand market reach. Furthermore, digital content-based tourism promotion activities helped increase Sidowayah Village's visibility as a tourism destination. Overall, the PKM activity had a positive impact by improving community digital literacy, strengthening the capacity of the BUMDes and MSMEs, and supporting sustainable, digitally-driven economic and tourism development in the village.

Abstract

Purpose – This study evaluates a contactless employee-attendance prototype designed to recognize faces using a camera near an entrance and register attendance without requiring employees to stop at a conventional device. Design/methods/approach – The prototype combined Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG) for facial feature representation, K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) for recognition, and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for K-NN parameter optimization. The training set contained 180 facial images from 20 employees (nine images per employee). Evaluation used one image each from 27 participants, including 20 enrolled employees and seven individuals outside the enrollment set. Findings – Of the 27 test images, 25 produced the expected outcome, corresponding to 92.6% accuracy (TP = 18, FP = 0, FN = 2, TN = 7). Two enrolled employees were classified as unknown, while all seven unregistered participants were rejected. Recognition may be sensitive to illumination, pose, camera angle and image sharpness; the present test did not isolate these effects. Research implications/limitations – The small, single-image-per-participant test limits generalization, and the study does not report a direct K-NN versus PSO-optimized K-NN comparison. The prototype also responds to faces shown in photographs, indicating a presentation-attack vulnerability and a need for separate liveness evaluation. Originality/value – The work investigates the integration of established HOG, K-NN and PSO methods into an entrance-based attendance workflow. Its contribution is a prototype implementation and a bounded account of recognition outcomes and practical limitations rather than evidence of superiority over alternative classifiers or deployment-ready security.
