Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Peran Perempuan dalam Perspektif Jamaah An-Nadzir di Romang Lompoa Kec. Bontomarannu Kab. Gowa Sulawesi Selatan”. Penelitian ini dilatrabelakangi oleh permasalahan adanya perbedaan jamaah An-Nadzir dengan masyarakat dari segi tempat tinggal, perilaku  keagamaan dan perbedaan-perbedaan lain yang mempengaruhi peran perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Pandangan teologis dalam Jamaah An-Nadzir, (2) Peran dan posisi perempuan dalam Jamaah An-Nadzir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan jenis pengolahan data deskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan teologis dan fenomenologis. Adapun sumber data penelitian ini adalah anggota jamaah An-Nadzir khususnya kaum perempuan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan, sedangkan teknik pengolahan data melalui empat tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, teknik perbandingan dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) pandangan teologis pada Jamaah An-Nadzir cukup berbeda jika dibandingkan dengan kelompok keagamaan lainnya, yakni praktek keagamaan yang cenderung berbeda dengan praktek mayoritas umat Islam di Indonesia. Hal yang paling menonjol pada jamaah An-Nadzir terletak pada tampilan fisiknya yang memiliki ciri khas tersendiri, dan juga terkait waktu penentuan masuknya ramadan dan lebaran yang selalu lebih awal dibanding jadwal yang telah ditentukan oleh pemerintah. 2) Bagi Jamaah An-Nadzir peran dan posisi perempuan juga cukup berbeda, yakni perempuan ditempatkan di rumah. Perempuan bagi Jamaah An-Nadzir dibatasi ke ranah publik. Bagi perempuan jamaah An-Nadzir mereka tidak pernah merasa bekerja sebagai tujuan hidup atau sesuatu yang mereka inginkan  setelah  menikah. Karena kehidupan perempuan setelah menikah sepenuhnya adalah seputar mengurus suami dan anak, atau terbatas pada peran domestik. Selain itu dalam penentuan jodoh bagi perempuan Jamaah An-Nadzir tidak diberi kebebasan dalam memilih namun dipilihkan oleh orang tua atau orang yang telah dipercayakan akan hal itu. AbstractThis study is entitled “The Role of Women in the Perspective of Jamaah An-Nadzir in Romang Lompo - Bontomarannu, in Gowa Regency of South Sulawesi ”. This research is motivated by the apparent difference between the An-Nadzir congregation and the general Muslim community in terms of place of residence, religious behavior and other differences that affect the role of women. This study aims to discover: (1) The theological views in Jamaah An-Nadzir, (2) The role and position of women in Jamaah An-Nadzir. This study is a field research that employs descriptive and qualitative data processing mode with theological and phenomenological approaches. Data sources for this study comprise members of the An-Nadzir congregation, especially the women. Data collection methods used involves observation, interviews, documentation and literature study; while the data processing techniques comprise data reduction, data presentation, comparison techniques and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that 1) the theological view of Jamaah An-Nadzir is quite different when compared to other religious groups, namely religious practices that tend to be different from those of the majority of Muslims in Indonesia. The most distinctive aspect about the An-Nadzir congregation lies in its physical appearance which has its own characteristics, and also in relation to the determination of the beginning of Ramadan and the Eid, which is always earlier than the schedule set by the government. 2) For Jamaah An-Nadzir, the roles and positions of women are also quite different, as their main domain is around the household and their space in public sphere is restricted. The women of the An-Nadzir congregation never consider work as a life goal or an ambition after marriage, since a woman’s life after marriage is entirely about taking care of her husband and children, or is limited to domestic roles. In addition, the women of Jamaah An-Nadzir are not given freedom to choose their husbands. It is their parents or certain people who have been entrusted for it that make the decision.

Abstract

This paper presents an elaboration on Al-Ghazali’s intellectual and spiritual struggle in searching for certitude to establish secure basis for his theory of knowledge. The elaboration starts with introducing Al-Ghazali’s definition and classification of knowledge, discussing the important of both sacred and profane knowledge as he categorizes of them into personal and collective obligations, and develop into presenting his schema of knowledge. Further discussion then focuses on essential staging in his intellectual and spiritual inquiry to reach the final stage of a personal testimony of doubtless true knowledge. Initiated with a total denial of knowledge to abolish uncertainty to its fullest extent, his struggle then proceeded to the level of extreme skepticism proceeding establishment of his fundamental theory of knowledge.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian terhadap persepsi kesetaraan jender pada pasangan suami istri di Desa Bonerate Kecamatan Pasimarannu Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar. Eksplorasi dalam tulisan ini dibangun dengan landasan teori-teori jender secara umum dan konsep kesetaraan jender dalam Islam, untuk mengkaji persepsi kesetaraan jender pasangan suami istri di Desa Bonerate, dan implementasi serta dampak dari implementasi perspektif jender tersebut. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan teologis dan fenomenologis. Hasil ekplorasi menunjukkan bahwa pasangan suami istri di Desa Bonerate memandang bahwa laki-laki dan perempuan sama-sama mempunyai hak dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Pembagian kerja tidak menjadi tolok ukur kesetaraan bagi masyarakat Desa Bonerate karena hal tersebut merupakan bentuk perwujudan keseimbangan khususnya dalam rumah tangga yang dikenal dengan istilah pohamba-hamba’a (bentuk kerja sama antara laki-laki dan perempuan). Implementasi atau penerapan dari konsep pemahaman terkait gender oleh pasangan suami dan istri di Desa Bonerate dapat dilihat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari terutama pada pembagian tugas bagi suami dan istri. Suami mengambil peran instrumental seperti bekerja mencari nafkah dan istri mengambil peran ekspresif berupa pengurusan rumah tangga, pengasuhan anak, dan rutinitas-rutinitas lainnya. Meskipun demikian, pasangan suami istri Desa Bonerate tetap memberikan peluang yang sama kepada anak-anaknya baik laki-laki maupun perempuan terutama dalam bidang pendidikan. Konsep pemahaman tentang gender dan implementasinya oleh pasangan suami istri di Desa Bonerate menimbulkan dampak yang berpengaruh terhadap skema kehidupan suami dan istri di Desa Bonerate, seperti konsekwensi beban ganda yang diemban oleh istri dan ketergantungan istri terhadap suami semakin kuat.

Abstract

The existence of women becomes a complicated issue when women play a dual role, as a domestic worker as well as a public sector worker. Problems will arise when she as a woman is faced with the choice of taking a career opportunity, exploring her potential, and honing her intellectual abilities or staying at home, caring for children, cooking, and sharing tasks with her partner. In the public domain, men and women have the same opportunities to advance their careers which are supported by a person's intellectual and professional level. This is what causes women to want career opportunities in the public sphere, rather than closing themselves off to routine daily problems in the domestic sphere. The dilemma of women in the modern era marks the maturity of thinking in achieving dreams as an intelligent woman who has a successful career in the public sphere while being able to overcome household routines in the domestic sphere. Based on the analysis of feminist theology, it is hoped that it will be able to open public awareness of gender equality in a patriarchal culture

Abstract

Pengamalan keagamaan yang dipraktekkan oleh masyarakat, khususnya para ulama tokoh masyarakat yang menjadi guru, banyak yang mengandung praktek kesufian sekalipun tidak menamakan diri mereka sebagai sufi, seperti yang dilakukan oleh salah seorang tokoh di Polewali Mandar yakni Annang Guru Pocci, sehingga perlu dikaji ajarannya untuk mengetahui implementasi tasawuf di dalamnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data yang diperlukan adalah melalui wawancara dan observasi, karena jenis penelitian ini adalah diskriptif kualitatif. Adapun Hasil penelitian Annang Guru Pocci memiliki ajaran yang bernuansa sufistik seperti; Masalah keimanan yang meyakini semua yang terdapat dalam rukun Iman. Masalah ibadah adalah semua ibadah yang diwajibkan harus dilaksanakan. Secara khusus Annang Guru Pocci memiliki ajaran shalat yang cepat untuk shalat sunnat. Zikir (Zikir tubuh, lailahaillallah, Zikir nyawa, allah, Zikir hati, hu, Zikir rahasia, ah) dan pandangan tentang Manusia memiliki unsur lahir (Hati, Nyawa, Rahasia, Syariat, Hakikat, Ma’rifah) dan bathin (Ahadiyah, Wahdah, Wahidiyah, Alam Arwah, Alam Misal, Alam ajsam, Alam Insan). Pelaksanaan ajaran Annang Guru Pocci dilakukan secara; Syari’at, Tarekat dan Hakikat. Walaupun tidak dijelaskan oleh pengikut Annang Guru Pocci terkait dengan tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam ajarannya, akan tetapi pada umumnya dalam tarekat bertujuan untuk mencapai Ma’rifatullah.

Abstract

The research question explored in this exploration is ‘How is religious moderation implemented among followers of the Mu'tabarah Tariqah (authorized sufistic schools) in Makassar City? Data collection methods employed in this exploration comprise interview and observation, in addition to documents or literature related to the subject discussed. As for the approach, this inquiry applies philosophical and phenomenological approaches. Research findings indicate that religious moderation in the view of Mu’tabarah Tariqah followers means an attitude that accepts all differences, both in terms of beliefs and culture, by prioritizing justice, tasamuh (toleration) and tawazun (balance). Implementation of religious moderation comes to forms with ground principles comprising: 1). Tolerance is a basic teaching of Islam, which respects different religious beliefs and understandings as humans are essentially the same and equally come from God. In this sense harming or despising those with different religious beliefs is equivalent to harming or despising one’s own self. 2). Social service is carried out as a form of awareness as God’s creatures who must share and love each other. It is performed in the month of Ramadan and the Ied festival (Ied al-Qurban), or even at any time when someone needs help, for humans are essentially brothers who help each other. 3) Be religious with love, that is, religious teachings are carried out based on love, since all beings are God’s creation, and they must live side by side peacefully and full of love. The implementation of religious moderation among adherents of the Mu'tabarah Tariqah results in: a) creating peace in society, b) increasing bonds of brotherhood among human beings, even among fellow creatures, who will live in harmony and peace despite their different cultures and beliefs. Other words, the bonds of friendship between fellow creatures will be well established.

Abstract

This study focuses on two key areas: the interpretation of Qur’anic verses regarding women’s leadership and its implementation within Sufi orders (tariqa) in South Sulawesi. The central question explored is how Sufi orders interpret these verses through a gender lens. To answer this question, a qualitative methodology employing interpretive and gender studies approaches was used. Data were collected through interview and literature review. The results of the research show that the perceptions of tarekat followers in South Sulawesi regarding the interpretation of verses regarding women's leadership in the public sphere. Some interpretations, based on Surah At-Tawbah [9:71], allow for women’s leadership by defining “awliya” as leaders, allies, and advisors, suggesting that both men and women can assume leadership roles if they possess the necessary competencies. Conversely, others, citing Surah An-Nisa’ [4:34], restrict women’s leadership. However, a closer examination indicates that Surah At-Tawbah [9:71] is a more general verse, while Surah An-Nisa’ [4:34] is context-specific, referring primarily to domestic matters. The implementation of leadership within Sufi orders is generally not at odds with these interpretations. In the public sphere, women have equal rights to men, including the right to vote and be elected. Moreover, there is no gender distinction in the concept of becoming a waliyullah, as exemplified by Rabi’ah al-Adawiyah. However, women have not yet assumed the role of murshid (spiritual guide) within Sufi orders due to several factors, including the historical precedent of male prophets and the physical and spiritual demands of the role. However, from a gender perspective,  women often hold the position of khalifah (spiritual deputy) assisting the murshid in teaching and even coordinating regional activities.
