Abstract

Rapid changes and growth in the business sector in the era of globalization are marked by increasing competition, including among the 28 small bakery businesses operating in Padang City. Anandia Bakery is one of the oldest MSMEs in the local bakery industry and continues to operate today. This study aims to: (1) describe the business profile of Anandia Bakery; (2) analyze consumer perceptions of purchasing decisions; and (3) examine the influence of the 4P marketing strategy on purchasing decisions. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that (1) Anandia Bakery was established in 2006, employs eight workers, and operates four days per week; (2) consumer perceptions of product, price, and distribution are very positive, falling into the “Strongly Agree” category; and (3) product (X1), price (X2), and distribution (X4) have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. In contrast, the promotion variable (X3) has no significant effect, indicating that current promotional efforts are not yet effective in influencing consumer decisions. These findings confirm that product quality, competitive pricing, and ease of distribution are the main factors driving consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the digital era has increased access to and productivity of scholarly publications, while also creating challenges in managing academic literature and references. Final-year students, particularly those from non–Information Technology programs, often experience difficulties in organizing references systematically, maintaining citation consistency, and avoiding unintentional plagiarism. This article aims to describe the implementation and outcomes of a community service program that provided training on the use of Mendeley as a personal digital library for managing scholarly literature. The program was conducted over two days using a participatory and hands-on approach involving students from Universitas Tamansiswa in Padang. The training methods included conceptual lectures, live demonstrations, and practical sessions covering Mendeley installation, reference management, automatic citation, and bibliography generation. The results indicate improvements in participants’ understanding and skills in reference management, as well as increased awareness of academic integrity. Overall, the training proved effective in enhancing efficiency and writing quality in the preparation of theses or final projects.

Abstract

Posyandu plays an essential role in providing primary health services, particularly for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, infants, and toddlers in stunting prevention efforts. However, an initial assessment in Nagari Pilubang, Sungai Limau District, revealed that the role of Posyandu cadres was not yet optimal due to limited knowledge among cadres and mothers regarding stunting prevention through local food utilization. To address this issue, the Community Partnership Empowerment Program (PKM) was implemented to empower Posyandu cadres in improving health services for pregnant women and toddlers by optimizing local food-based interventions to prevent nutritional problems, especially stunting. The program was conducted over eight months through stages of socialization, training, mentoring, technology application, evaluation, and sustainability. The results showed a significant improvement in cadres’ skills, with 80–85% showing increased post-test scores compared to pre-test. Observations and field practice revealed enhanced knowledge of stunting and nutrition, improved ability to select and utilize local foods, practical skills, communication, leadership, and cadre independence. The program outputs included local food processing products, training modules, intellectual property rights (IPR), scientific publications, and media dissemination. With ongoing collaboration with the Public Health Center and the Health Office, this program is expected to be replicated in other Posyandu across Padang Pariaman Regency.
