Abstract

Electrical energy is an important part of supporting life. PLN, as the main source of electricity supply, does not guarantee that it will always be reliable, so alternative resources are needed to support these electricity needs; the resources required to replace PLN's main resource are generators. The automatic main failure is equipment with an automatic control system to overcome main channel disturbances of the electric energy supply system and generator heating system. To extend the genset life in the input section, a push button is a conventional control on the automatic main failure circuit, which includes starting the generator, the generator off, and resetting. In the process section, the Outseal PLC Mega V1 functions as a data or command processor from input to output. From the test, it can be concluded that the time needed to activate the generator when the PLN goes out is ± 15 seconds if the generator can be activated by starting once. The fuel indication system also works according to its function. From the results of the generator heating system scheduled for automatic main failure, the time that has been programmed is 1 time in 7 days for ± 45 minutes

Abstract

Proficiency in multimodal writing is becoming progressively crucial for students, particularly in the realm of academic writing. Nevertheless, the existing learning materials in higher education fail to adequately meet those requirements. Hence, the goal of this study is to create a workbook that will assist students in improving their ability to write using various modes in academic writing classes. This study employs Research and Development, with a specific focus on the Analysis and Design phases of the ADDIE approach. The investigation had a total of 114 participants. We employed triangulation techniques to develop a questionnaire and gathered data in July 2024. Subsequently, we analyzed and displayed the data using descriptive statistics, elucidating its meaning in accordance with the pre-established categories. The requirements assessment revealed that students necessitate support in academic writing, including obtaining credible sources, employing technological tools, completing plagiarism checks, and maintaining citations. Students desire a customizable learning structure that allows them to produce multimodal (digital) texts and engage in activities both individually and collaboratively. The needs analysis determines the structure of the multimodal project workbook, which consists of five sections arranged according to the syntax of project-based learning. To achieve more effective and practical outcomes, it is critical to proceed with the research by carrying out the Development and Implementation stages.

Abstract

Tomato plants are one of the most important vegetables after potatoes, eggplants, and chilies. Tomatoes can be eaten raw, they are also used as a flavoring ingredient in dishes, vegetables or made into soy sauce and sauces. the need for tomato plants is increasing every year. which type of organic mulch and variety is more appropriate for the growth of tomato plants, and how does the response of the three varieties of tomato plants to the type of organic mulch in increasing the growth and yield of tomato plants? Based on the description above, this study aimed to determine the best variety and type of organic mulch suitable for maximum growth and yield of tomato plants, as well as whether there was interaction between the two factors studied. This study used a 3 x 3 factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 3 replications, so there were 27 experimental combinations. There are two factors studied, namely the variety factor (V) and the organic mulch factor (M). The results of this study that the variety of tomatoes has a very significant effect on Plant height (cm), Diameter of stem base (cm), Number of fruits per plant (fruit), Fruit weight per plant (g), Tomato fruit diameter (cm), Fruit weight (g). Organic mulch had no significant effect on Plant height (cm), Diameter of stem base (cm), Number of fruits per plant (fruit), Fruit weight per plant (g), Tomato fruit diameter (cm), and Fruit weight (g). The responses of the three tomato varieties were not significantly different to changes in the type of organic mulch in increasing the growth and yield of tomato plants.
