Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh banyaknya siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menuliskan kosakata bahasa Inggris dengan susunan huruf yang benar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan produk media pembelajaran ULTRA (Ulat Rangkai Kosakata) serta mengetahui hasil peningkatkan kemampuan menulis kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa dengan menggunakan media yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, observasi, wawancara dan angket. Data yang didapat dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS berupa distribusi frekuensi dan Uji T. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Produk media pembelajaran ULTRA (Ulat Rangkai Kosakata), (2) Media ULTRA dinyatakan baik dan sangat layak untuk diuji cobakan berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli media dengan skor 30 dan presentase sebesar 93,75%, media ULTRA baik dan sangat layak untuk diuji cobakan berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi dengan skor tertinggi yakni 20 dan presentase sebesar 100% dan media ULTRA mendapatkan skor 28 dari hasil validasi oleh praktisi dengan presentase kelayakan sebesar 87,5% sehingga termasuk dalam kategori baik dan sangat layak untuk diuji cobakan tanpa revisi. (3) hasil uji coba terbatas didapat nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05 dimana pengembangan media ULTRA dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa kelas III.Kata kunci: Media ULTRA, Kemampuan menulis, Kosakata bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Usaha melestarikan dan menjaga bahasa-bahasa daerah di Indonesia masih harus ditingkatkan, sekalipun untuk bahasa yang berstatus aman. Hal ini dikarenakan penggunaannya semakin tergeser oleh pemakaian bahasa nasional dan bahasa asing yang dianggap lebih memiliki nilai prestise. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik memetakan dialek-dialek pada salah satu bahasa daerah yang ada di Indonesia, yaitu bahasa Cirebon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan leksikal yang ada dalam dialek bahasa Cirebon di Kecamatan Kapetakan, Panguragan, Plered, Dukupuntang, Mundu, Waled, Pabedilan, dan Losari di Kabupaten Cirebon serta menggambarkan perbedaan tersebut ke dalam peta dialek. Metode yang digunakan pada tahap pengumpulan data adalah metode pupuan lapangan yang dilanjutkan dengan teknik rekam dan catat. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode dialektometri, sedangkan penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode formal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa antardaerah yang diperbandingan terdapat kriteria perbedaan bahasa, perbedaan dialek, perbidaan wicara, dan tidak ada perbedaan. Karakteristik bahasa Cirebon tampak pada beberapa ciri. Pertama, banyak terdapat bunyi glotal stop [/] dan berada pada posisi ultima terbuka, misalnya pada kata [sira/], [kita/], [sapa/], dan sebagainya. Kedua, bunyi [o] dominan muncul di Plered, misalnya pada kata [muto], [tibo], [oro], dan lain-lain. Ketiga, penggunaan bunyi semivokal [ʸ] dan [W] muncul hampir merata pada daerah pengamatan, misalnya pada kata [kiʸ|n], [iʸ|], [kiʸE/], dan [kuW|n]. Keempat, retrofleks juga dijumpai pada bahasa Cirebon, misalnya pada kata [waḍOn] yang digunakan di daerah Kapetakan, Panguragan, Plered, Dukupuntang, Pabedilan, dan Losari. Kelima, secara morfologis, kata kerja ada yang dibentuk dengan proses nasalisasi [n], [nd], [G], [nj], [ñ], [m], dan [mb], misalnya pada kata [nalEni/], [ndamOni], [GambUG], [njaIt], [macUl], [mbalaG], dan [mlaku/]. Ada pula kata kerja yang dibentuk dengan reduplikasi, misalnya [j|jaGan] dan [kukur-kukur]. Keenam, pada bidang semantik, dalam medan makna kekerabatan, terdapat kata [rabi] yang mengacu pada ‘istri’ dan [laki] yang mengacu pada ‘suami’. Jika dibandingkan dengan bahasa Jawa dialek standar, baik istri maupun suami diungkapkan dengan kata [bojo]. Pada medan makna kata ganti orang, terdapat kata [isun] dan [kita] yang berarti ‘saya’ dan [sira] yang dapat berarti ‘kamu’ dan ‘dia’. Pada medan makna kata kerja, terdapat kata yang bermakna lebih khusus, misalnya pada kata yang berarti ‘meludah’. Glos [riʸa/] berarti proses meludah yang menimbulkan suara keras karena mengeluarkan dahak dari tenggorok, sedangkan [idu] berarti proses meludah tanpa menimbulkan suara. Preserving local languages in Indonesia still have to improved, even for languages with safe status. This is because its use is increasingly diplaced by the use of national and foreign language which are considered to have more prestige value. Therefore, the researcher is interested in mapping the dialects of local languages in Indonesia, namely Cirebon language. This study aimed to (1) describe different lexemes in a dialect of Cirebon language in Kapetakan, Panguragan, Plered, Dukupuntang, Mundu, Waled, Pabedilan, and Losari Regencies and (2) draw a language map of different lexemes. This research collected data using the pupuan lapangan method with structural interview, recording, and note-taking techniques, successively. The collected data were analyzed using the dialectometry method. Then, the results of this analysis were presented using the formal method. This study revealed that there were criteria of language differences, dialectical differences, phonological aspect differences, and no differences. Besides these results, this study discovered the characteristics of Cirebon language, as follows. There are many glottal stop sounds [/] that are distinct in open ultima positions, as in the word [sira/], [kita/], [sapa/],etc. The sound [o] dominantly appears in Plered, as in the word [muto], [tibo], [oro], etc. Meanwhile, semivowel [ʸ] and [W] are used in nearly all observation areas; for example, the word [kiʸ|n], [iʸ|], [kiʸE/], and [kuW|n]. Retroflex is also found in Cirebon language as in the word [waḍOn]. This sound is used in Kapetakan, Panguragan, Plered, Dukupuntang, Pabedilan, and Losari. Morphologically, some verbs are formed by the nasalization process [n], [nd], [G], [nj], [ñ], [m], dan [mb], as in the word [nalEni/], [ndamOni], [GambUG], [njaIt], [macUl], [mbalaG], and [mlaku/]. Meanwhile, some other verbs are formed by the reduplication process, as in the word [j|jaGan] dan [kukur-kukur]. Semantically, the word [rabi] refers to ‘istri’ and [laki] refers to ‘suami’. In standard Javanese, both of ‘istri’ and ‘suami’ expressed by the word [bojo]. In addition, the word [isun] refers to ‘saya’ and [sira] refers to ‘kamu’ dan ‘dia’. There were more specific semantic domains; for example, the word mean ‘meludah’. The gloss [riʸa/] is interpreted as a process of spitting that raises a loud voice and removes the mucus or phlegm from the throat. Meanwhile, the gloss [idu] refers to the process of spitting without making a sound.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental desain menggunakan One Group Pretest-Postest. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, angket dan tes. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh karena seluruh jumlah siswa kelas III dijadikan sampel. Berdasarkan pengolahan lembar observasi, diperoleh skor kategori baik atau sesuai dengan presentase yang didapatkan yaitu 90%. Guru menerapkan media pembelajaran buku cerita bergambar dengan baik di dalam kelas. Selain observasi, pengolahan angket secara keseluruhan diperoleh skor sebanyak 85% yang tergolong dalam kategori sangat kuat karena berada diantara 81%-100%. Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa merespon point angket sesuai dengan pilihan siswa. Pengaruh variabel bebas (media pembelajaran buku cerita bergambar) terhadap variabel terikat (minat baca siswa adalah 52,8% sedangkan sisanya 47,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Berdasarkan hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran buku cerita bergambar terhadap minat baca siswa kelas III di MI Nurur Rohmah Kota Cirebon.Abstract: This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research design using a one-group pretest-posttest. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, questionnaires, and tests. The sample used was a saturated sample because the entire number of third-grade students was sampled. Based on the processing of the observation sheet, a good category score was obtained, or in accordance with the percentage obtained, namely 90%. The teacher applies the picture storybook learning media well in the classroom. In addition to observation, the overall questionnaire processing obtained a score of 85%, which is classified in the very strong category because it is between 81% and 100%. These results show that students respond to the questionnaire points according to their choice. The influence of the independent variable (pictorial storybook learning media) on the dependent variable (students' reading interest) is 52.8% while the remaining 47.2% is influenced by other factors. As a result, it can be concluded that picture storybook learning media has an impact on the reading interest of third-grade students at MI Nurur Rohmah Cirebon City.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students' lack of understanding of Indonesian language lessons, especially regarding the material on expressions of requests for help and forgiveness. This type of quantitative research design is One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Data was obtained using normality, homogeneity, hypothesis and N-Gain tests. From the results of research using the teacher observation sheet, the score was 92% in the very good category and the student activity observation sheet was 80% in the good category. There is an influence of paper puppet learning media on student learning outcomes in Indonesian language lessons with a value of Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. In the N-Gain test, a value of 0.58 was obtained, meaning that the average increase in the pretest and posttest index was included in the medium category.

Abstract

Riset ini bermaksud antara lain (1) mengetahui cara penerapan media permainan word search di kelas III. (2) mengetahui hasil belajar vocabulary Bahasa Inggris kelas III. (3) mengetahui pengaruh media permainan word search terhadap hasil belajar vocabulary Bahasa Inggris kelas III. Dalam hal ini, Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, serta Pre-Experimental Design dengan jenis One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Peneliti menggunakan observasi, tes berupa pretest serta posttest yang berjumlah 10 soal dengan tes uraian singkat, dan angket sebagai teknik pengumpulan informasi. Percobaan keabsahan instrumen yang dipakai merupakan Ekspert jugmen yang melaporkan kalau instrumen proses kegiatan belajar mengajar bisa dipakai dengan perbaikan ataupun harus diganti. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel jenuh karena mengambil seluruh jumlah anak didik kelas III A yang berjumlah 17 anak didik. Informasi yang diolah didapat dengan memakai percobaan normalitas, percobaan homogenitas, percobaan anggapan, uji determinasi serta uji N-gain. Hasil observasi memperoleh nilai persentase sebesar 94% dan nilai angket 86% memiliki hasil yang baik. Dari skor hasil belajar menunjukan peningkatan sebesar 78,5% dalam hasil belajar vocabulary Bahasa Inggris dengan hasil rata-rata posttest sebesar 88,2 lebih tinggi dari hasil rata-rata pretest sebesar 49,4. Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dengan angka sig. 0, 000< kebolehjadian 0, 05, sehingga bisa disimpulkan Ha diperoleh serta H0 di dorong maksudnya terdapat dampak antara penggunaan media permainan word search terhadap hasil belajar vocabulary Bahasa Inggris. Adapun pengaruh dari media permainan word search terhadap hasil belajar vocabulary Bahasa Inggris yaitu sebesar 16%, sebaliknya lebihnya 84% dipengaruhi oleh aspek lain. Pada percobaan N- gain mempunyai kenaikan pada umumnya indikator dari pretest ke posttest sebesar 0, 8 dengan jenis besar, yang berarti bahwa hasil belajar vocabulary siswa tergolong baik. Kata Kunci : Media Permainan Word Search, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris

Abstract

In the digital era, oral communication skills, digital literacy, and learning motivation are crucial aspects of education. Digital storytelling is an innovative method that enhances speaking abilities and fosters creativity and active engagement among pre-service elementary teachers in learning. This study aims to explore the impact of digital storytelling in enhancing oral communication skills, digital literacy, and learning motivation among pre-service elementary teachers. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was employed. The sample consisted of 120 pre-service elementary teachers from the State Islamic Cyber University Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, selected through purposive sampling. The experimental group included 58 participants, while the control group comprised 62. Data were collected through oral communication tests, digital literacy questionnaires, and learning motivation surveys administered before and after the intervention. Instrument validity was assessed using content validity with two experts in education and technology, while reliability was measured using Cronbach’s Alpha. Data analysis involved T-tests and Cohen’s D effect size calculations. The findings indicate that digital storytelling significantly improved all three variables, with large effect sizes for oral communication skills (d = 2.21), digital literacy (d = 2.52), and learning motivation (d = 2.65). These results suggest that digital storytelling is an effective pedagogical tool for equipping pre-service elementary teachers with essential competencies in the digital era. This study recommends systematically integrating digital storytelling into pre-service elementary teacher education curricula, developing structured pedagogical scaffolding, and collaborating with partner schools to support skill application in teaching practice.

Abstract

Traditional instructional methods often fail to develop students' metacognitive and evaluative reading skills, necessitating innovative pedagogical approaches that leverage digital technology to enhance literacy development. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a digital media-assisted reciprocal learning strategy on fifth-grade elementary students' reading comprehension skills. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The study participants consisted of 302 grade V students (aged 10-11 years) from six elementary schools in urban Indonesia. The intervention was conducted over one semester. Data were collected through a Reading Comprehension Test of 30 questions and classroom observations. The analysis included descriptive statistics and ANCOVA to test the main hypothesis. The experimental group showed a significant increase in reading comprehension compared to the control group, sig=0.001<0.05 (Cohen's d = 1.34). The increase was especially seen in the dimensions of metacognitive awareness (Cohen's d = 1.37) and evaluative reading (Cohen's d = 1.32), indicating that the integration of digital media with reciprocal learning strategies effectively improved high-level comprehension skills. Conclusion: Reciprocal learning with the assistance of digital media is an effective approach to improving students' reading comprehension skills. This research has contributed to the utilization of digital technology with reciprocal learning strategies effectively in literacy learning.
