Abstract

The policies of a company or industry are needed to increase productivity, efficiency, and income. The purpose of this study was to determine the policies used by an MSME in Dumai named Caffein. In addition, to help find solutions to existing problems from each policy that has been made. This data collection technique was carried out by interviewing the owners of Caffeine MSMEs. The policy made by MSME owners at the beginning of the covid-19 hit was to reduce employees and reduce tools and materials. When covid-19 began to subside, Caffeine customers increased. Caffeine's situation is understaffed and causes the service to be out of control. From each policy that is determined, there are still problems that make the Caffeine MSME owners have to change their policies again. This study shows that each policy made by the owner of MSMEs has its own impact.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the mathematical disposition of vocational high school students after the second semester of mathematics instruction in the 2024/2025 academic year, specifically on the topic of vectors. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach through data triangulation from observations, a 57-student Likert scale questionnaire, and in-depth interviews with six students from high, medium, and low disposition categories. The interview focused on five indicators considered quite valuable: self-confidence, persistence and perseverance, interest and curiosity, monitoring and reflection, and being enthusiastic and serious about learning. The analysis results show that students' mathematical disposition is generally in the sufficient category, with significant variation between individuals. This study complements previous research by providing a contextual overview of vocational high school students, who have received less attention in studies on mathematical disposition. This research also highlights the importance of teacher intervention in creating a learning environment that supports exploration, reflection, and the courage to think, particularly when teaching abstract material such as vectors.

Abstract

Smartphones are no longer necessary in everyday life. Smartphone use has been shown to have a wide-ranging impact on health. Obesity is one of the modern-day health problems that can be exacerbated by excessive smartphone use. The study's goal is to look at the link between smartphone screentime and obesity prevalence. This study's design is a cut width. Data is collected online using Google Forms (G-form). The information gathered included respondents' identities, screen times via smartphone screenshots, and degrees of obesity as indicated by height and weight measurements. There were 135 responses between the ages of 15 and 22. The bulk of respondents (83.7%) utilized cellphones for 6 hours every day. The outcomes of measuring the body mass index revealed that the majority of the respondents (71.11%) were obese. The chi-square test reveals a substantial association between screen time and metabolic health, such as obesity
