Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian Kuliah Kerja Nyata – Pembelajaran dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (KKN-PPM) ini adalah mem-berdayakan masyarakat agar memiliki kapasitas yang dapat menjadi bagian dari pengelolaan pulau wisata Camba-cambang. KKN-PPM ini juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pendekatan pemberdayaan adalah participatory rural appraisal, participatory tecnology development, dan community development dengan metode pelatihan, demonstrasi plot, dan pendampingan. Program kerja yang dilaksanakan disebut Catur Program Kerja, yaitu : (1) Pengembangan fish apartment sebagai potensi spot wisata, (2) Diversifikasi olahan hasil perikanan dan desain kemasan, (3) Penanganan sampah plastik, dan (4) Budidaya sistem IMTA. Operasional kegiatan diawali dengan koordinasi dan aosialisasi, selanjutnya penyiapan administrasi kegiatan, pelaksanaan panca program kerja, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen pre test dan post test serta pengamatan dan penilaian kinerja. Program KKN-PPM di lingkar pulau wisata Camba-cambang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok sasaran yang terdiri dari nelayan dan pembudidaya, ibu-ibu rumah tangga dan remaja putri, organisasi pemuda, siswa sekolah dan anak-anak putus sekolah. Kelompok sasaran telah meningkat pengetahuan dan keterampilannya dalam memanfaatkan potensi sumberdaya pulau, khususnya yang terkait dengan catur program kerja. Program pengabdiaan KKN-PPM ini juga dapat meningkatkan kompetensi teknis mahasiswa dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat.

Abstract

The aims of implementing the PTDM (Technology Products Disseminated to the Community) program is to increase the resilience of people's knowledge and skills in applying aquabusiness technology, especially making probiotics, making artificial feed made from local raw materials, and cultivating a polyculture system. This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of the community in applying aquabusiness technology, especially probiotic production, feed production from local raw materials, and the cultivation of polyculture systems. Service activities through the Technology Products Disseminated to the Community (TPDC) program was conducted in Talaka Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi Province with a total of 20 farmers from the Mina Air Brackish Cultivator Group and the Bujung Tangayya Business Group. The empowerment program is implemented using training methods through non-technical counseling, technical assistance, and plot demonstrations. The achievement of program implementation is determined through evaluation through pre-test and post-test questionnaires as well as observation and performance assessments. The results of the empowerment program have a positive impact on improving the knowledge and skills of partners in applying aquabusiness technology. The empowerment program increased the knowledge and skills of partners in making probiotics by 66.7% to 91.7%, making feed increased by 58.3% to 83.3%, and the knowledge and skills of cultivating the polyculture system increased by 41.7. % up to 83.3%. This increased knowledge and skills has the potential to increase income which can strengthen community food security in the period and post-pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

KKN-PPM through Optimization of Mina-Tani Business to Support the Development of KPPN in Lanrisang District, South Sulawesi ProvinceAbstract. The KKN-PPM service program is a learning process for students as well as a vehicle for community empowerment. The purpose and benefits of this program are to increase the knowledge and skills of community's to optimally utilizing the potential of resources, increase the technical competence of students in community empowerment, and increase the acceleration of the regional development process, particularly the development of the Kawasan Perdesaan Prioritas Nasional (KPPN). KKN-PPM is carried out in Lanrisan Village, Lerang Village, Waetuoe Village, Lanrisang District, Pinrang Regency. Technologies applied through the KKN-PPM work program include nitrobacter-based milkfish culture technology, minapadi cultivation, aquaponics cultivation, waste utilization for creative products and fish feed, diversification of processed fish, early education about fisheries and marine for school students and socialization likes to eat fish (GEMARI), as well as the development of beach tourism. Program implementation partners are the sub-district and village governments and fisheries extension agents with target audiences of farmer groups, housewife groups and school students. The model of the program implementation approach is Participatory Rural Appraisal, Participatory Technology Development, and Community Development with non-technical counseling methods, technical counseling, as well as demonstration and field practice on the pilot land. The results achieved in this activity were increased knowledge and skills of the target audience in implementing several aquaculture systems and diversification of fish preparations and the use of waste into creative products and fish feed, there were several examples of aquaculture, GEMARI program socialization, early reduction of fisheries and marine to school students, and the availability of beach tourism support facilities.Keywords: Optimization, mina-tani National Priority Rural Areas, demonstration landAbstrak. Program pengabdian KKN-PPM merupakan proses pembelajaran bagi mahasiswa sekaligus wahana pemberdayaan masyarakat. Tujuan dan manfaat program ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan potensi sumberdaya secara optimal, meningkatkan kompetensi teknis mahasiswa dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan meningkatkan percepatan proses pembangunan daerah, khususnya pengembangan Kawasan Perdesaan Prioritas Nasional (KPPN). Teknologi yang diterapkan melalui program kerja KKN-PPM antara lain teknologi budidaya ikan bandeng berbasis nitrobakter, budidaya minapadi, budidaya akuaponik, pemanfaatan sampah/limbah untuk produk kreatif dan pakan ikan, diversifikasi olahan ikan, edukasi dini tentang perikanan dan kelautan bagi siswa sekolah dan sosialisasi gemar makan ikan (GEMARI), serta pengembangan wisata pantai. Mitra pelaksanaan program adalah pemerintah kecamatan dan desa serta penyuluh perikanan dengan khalayak sasaran kelompok tani, kelompok ibu rumah tangga, dan siswa sekolah. Model pendekatan pelaksanaan program adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal, Participatory Tecnology Development, dan Community Development dengan metode penyuluhan non teknis, penyuluhan teknis, serta demonstrasi dan praktek lapang di lahan percontohan. Hasil yang dicapai pada kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan khalayak sasaran dalam menerapkan beberapa sistem budidaya dan diversifikasi olahan ikan serta pemanfaatan sampah/limbah menjadi produk kreatif dan pakan ikan, terdapatnya beberapa percontohan budidaya, tersosialisasinya program GEMARI, teredukasinya secara dini tentang perikanan dan kelautan kepada siswa sekolah, dan terdapatnya fasilitas pendukung wisata pantai.Kata Kunci: Optimalisasi, mina-tani, Kawasan Perdesaan Prioritas Nasional, lahan percontohan

Abstract

Survival rate is a determinant factor of success in multibiota cultivation. This study aims to determine the survival rate of biota cultivated in various combinations in the Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA)-Paddy system. Three combinations (K) of biota and three replications, namely milkfish and paddy(K-2), milkfish, tiger prawns, and paddy (K-3), and milkfish, tiger prawns, and shellfish (K-4) were investigated experimentally in the field using a tarpaulin pond model. Biota was reared for 80 days with a density of 30 individuals each integrated with 30 clumps of rice by floating method. The results showed that the difference in the survival rate of milkfish at K-2 (97.8±1.91%), K-3 (94.4±1.96%), and K-4 (98.9±1.90%) was in the range of 1.1- 3.6% which was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). The survival rate of tiger prawns in K-4 (88.9±1.91%) was descriptively 2.2% higher than K-3 (86.7±1.90%). The survival rate of shellsfish on K-4 biota is 85.6±1.90%. Water quality during experimental is in the range that can be tolerated by each biota. More research is needed which in-depth to optimize the IMTA-Paddy system in brackishwater.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi minyak ikan gabus yang berbeda pada pakan terhadap sintasan dan pertumbuhan pada benih ikan gabus. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi tentang pengaruh konsentrasi minyak ikan gabus pada pakan buatan terhadap sintasan dan pertumbuhan benih ikan gabus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-November 2019. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Hatchery Air Tawar Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Pangkep. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan perlakuan yaitu pengkayaan minyak ikan gabus pada pakan pellet, masing-masing dengan konsentrasi 10% (A), 15% (B), 20% (C) dan tanpa penambahan minyak ikan gabus (kontrol). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 12 unit percobaan. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan benih ikan gabus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan minyak ikan gabus berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup benih ikan gabus. Demikian pula dengan pertumbuhan mutlak, penambahan minyak ikan gabus berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan. Hasil uji lanjut menunjukkan penambahan minyak ikan gabus 15% meningkatkan kelangsungan (96%) dan pertumbuhan (0.12 g) secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan dosis lainnya. Dengan demikian maka penambahan minyak ikan gabus dosis 15% merupakan konsentrasi terbaik untuk meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan benih ikan lele.

Abstract

Isu utama budidaya rumput laut Kappaphycus alvarezii saat ini secara garis besar adalah: (a) penurunan produksi akibat tekanan ekologis perairan laut, (b) perlindungan kelestarian dan pendapatan usaha budidaya, dan (c) konflik pemanfaatan ruang laut. Untuk mengantisipasi permasalahan tersebut, salah satu alternatif strategis yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan budidaya yang layak secara ekologis, teknis dan sosial ekonomi melalui pemanfaatan lahan tambak yang berada di kawasan pesisir melalui sistem budidaya intensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui laju pertumbuhan spesifik (LPS) K. alvarezii. Budidaya dilakukan pada bulan April hingga Mei 2018 selama 42 hari di tambak. Jumlah bentang 10 bentang, masing-masing bentang 120 titik adalah 25 cm. dengan berat 100 g per titik. Selama budidaya pemupukan, perubahan air, aerasi dan kontrol kualitas air. Bobot dan biomassa diukur setiap minggu dengan metode pengambilan sampel di setiap kelompok bentang yang berbeda. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata LPS yang diperoleh adalah 3,38%/hari. Kualitas air selama budidaya berada dalam kisaran yang dapat ditoleransi oleh K. alvarezii.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship learning in higher education has a strategic role in developing students' interest in entrepreneurship. This study aims to determine the determinant factors of student interest in entrepreneurship as an evaluation material for entrepreneurship learning, especially in fisheries and marine colleges. This study uses a quantitative approach through descriptive correlational methods. The number of respondents was 110 students of the College Marine Technology of Balik Diwa Makassar. The data were collected through a questionnaire instrument using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that 43.6% of students' interest in entrepreneurship was simultaneously influenced by factors of income expectations (X1), family support (X2), and entrepreneurial learning (X3). The regression equation for student interest in entrepreneurship is Y = 1.112 + 0.302X1 + 0.736X2 + 0.284X3. Income expectations and family support as well as entrepreneurial learning together influence respondents' interest in entrepreneurship (P <0.05). Entrepreneurship learning provided the lowest contribution to student entrepreneurial interest. Learning methods and facilities need special attention in increasing student entrepreneurial interest. These entrepreneurial learning methods and facilities must be able to develop entrepreneurial spirit and activities based on family environment activities supported by science and technology.Keywords: entrepreneurship learning, family environment, fisheries and marine, income expectations, interest in entrepreneurship

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem pengelolaan TPI Maccini Baji sebagai tempat pendaratan ikan dan mengetahui aspek finansial nelayan ikan Baronang (Siganus sp.) di PPI Maccini Baji Kabupaten Pangkep. Penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menjadi sumber informasi bagi masyarakat di Kabupaten Pangkep terkait kondisi pengelolaan danfinansial nelayan TPI Maccini Baji dalam mengeksploitasi sumberdaya ikan Baronang (Siganus sp.) agar tetap dimanfaatkan secara lestari. Penelitian ini tergolong penelitian deskriptif dengan melakukan survei di untuk mendeskripsikan keadaan dan praktek pada aspek kelembagaan TPI dan finansial nelayan, khususnya nelayan penangkap ikan baronang (Siganus sp). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Agustus 2021 di Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) Maccini Baji Kabupaten Pangkep Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pengelola TPI Maccini Baji Kabupaten Pangkep dan 7 nelayan penangkap ikan baronang yang mendaratkan hasil tangkapannya di TPI Maccini Baji Kabupaten Pangkep. Sampel pengelola sebanyak 1 orang yang merupakan pengelola TPI Maccini Baji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pengelolaan serta kelembagaan di TPI Maccini Baji Kabupaten Pangkep belum terlaksana dengan baik. Pemenuhan kelayakan dasar hanya 49,2% yang berada di bawah nilai 80% yang dipersyaratkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Perikanan. Pendapatan yang diperoleh oleh nelayan penangkap ikan baronang berkisar antara Rp 1.122.222 sampai dengan Rp. 7.436.111, Titik impas atas dasar nilai penjualan pada Rp. 819.908 dan volume penjualan 20.17 kg.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKeberhasilan pertumbuhan anggur laut Caulerpa lentillifera yang dikultur bersama dengan udang windu ditentukan oleh posisi yang tepat untuk menerima nutrien secara maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan anggur laut dan udang windu pada posisi tanam di dasar dan lepas dasar di dalam tambak tradisional masing-masing dengan 10 ulangan.. Hapa berukuran 1x1 m dan nampan 25x25 cm digunakan untuk memelihara kedua spesies ini. Selama masa pemeliharaan 35 hari, udang windu tidak diberi pakan buatan untuk mempertahankan tipikal tambak tradisional sebagai pemasok bahan pangan organik. Uji t independen mengindikasikan Laju Pertumbuhan Spesifik (LPS) anggur laut dan udang windu di dasar tambak (1,98 ± 0,32% dan 3,68±0,11% per hari) secara signifikan (p0.05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan lepas dasar (1,59±0,29% dan 3,50±0,31% per hari). Sementara itu, Efisiensi Reduksi Nutrien (ERN) dari Total Amonia Nitrogen (TAN) sebesar 38,53±4,48% yang mengindikasikan kemampuan C. lentillifera menyerap bahan anorganik. Studi menyimpulkan bahwa ko-kultur C. lentillifera dan udang windu memiliki efek sinergitas yang positif dan dapat dikembangkan di tambak tradisional. Untuk hasil yang lebih baik, disarankan C. lentillifera ditanam pada dasar tambak dan dikultur bersama dengan udang windu.Kata Kunci: anggur laut, ko-kultur, pertumbuhan, tambak tradisional, udang winduABSTRACTThe successful growth of sea grapes Caulerpa lentillifera co-cultured with tiger prawns is determined by the appropriate position to absorb maximum nutrients. This study aims to evaluate the growth of sea grapes and tiger shrimp in bottom and off-bottom planting position in traditional ponds with 10 replicates each.  Hapa 1x1 m and trays of 25x25 cm were used to rear these two species. During the 35-day rearing period, tiger shrimp were not artificially fed to maintain traditional ponds typical of organic food suppliers. The independent t-test indicated that the Specific Growth Rate (SGR) of sea grapes and tiger prawns at the bottom (1.98 ± 0.32% and 3.68 ± 0.11% day-1) were significantly (p0.05) higher than off the bottom (1.59±0.29% and 3.50±0.31% day-1). Meanwhile, the Nutrient Reduction Efficiency (ERN) of Total Ammonia Nitrogen (TAN) was 38.53 ± 4.48%, which indicated the ability of C. lentillifera to absorb inorganic materials. The study concluded that the co-culture of C. lentillifera and tiger shrimp had a positive synergistic effect and could be developed in traditional ponds. For better results, it is recommended to plant C. lentillifera at the bottom of the pond and co-culture with tiger shrimp.Keywords: co-culture, growth, tiger prawns, sea grapes, traditional pond

Abstract

The practical application of waste recycling as feed supplement is potentially required by small-scale aquaculturist. Furthermore, some of the flour derived from waste sea urchin shells and in adopted in feed, including Deadema setosum were evaluated to estimate the effect on white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei moulting. This research required the experimentation of four doses with triplicate supplementation (0, 2, 4, and 6 g 100 g-1 of feed) on shrimps four times daily (12% of body weight) for 35 days test period. The juvenile specimens, characterized by an initial weight of 1.61±0.11 g, were stocked at a density of 12 individuals in a 12 L aquarium. In addition, four compartments were created in each aquarium to facilitate progress observations. The proximate analysis results showed a 53.76±0.27% calcium content in the shell flour, which significantly increased (P0.05) after higher dose supplementation, in the sequential order 18.65±0.13%, 20.04±0.08%, 23.18±0.10%, and 25.04±0.11%. Moreover, the frequency and moulting interval with 4 g doses (16.59%±0.36% day-1 and 5.91±0.18 days-1) were significant (P0.05) and considered the best, compared to 0 g (10.48% ± 0.24% day-1 and 9.97±0.37 days-1), 2 g (13.49%±0.96% day-1 and 8.10±0.29 days-1), and 6 g (13.81%±0.24% day-1 and 7.90±0.06 days-1). In addition, the respective trend pattern for both parameters increased and decreased at 4 g and 6 g, correspondingly. The highest moulting intensity was also obtained with the 4 g doses, at a range of 4 to 6 times, while the lowest (0 g) varied from 3 to 4 times.
