Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui relevansi kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan Kebutuhan Dunia Usaha dan Industri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Objek penelitian ini adalah SMK N 1 Batang, dan Perusahaan dengan beberapa macam bentuk usaha di kota Batang-Pekalongan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan beberapa hal berikut : Pertama kurikulum SMK Negeri 1 Batang disusun dengan melibatkan pihak di luar sekolah yaitu pemerintah dan perusahaan. Kedua kompetensi keahlian akuntansi dan soft skills yang diajarkan sekolah sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan DU/DI, hanya saja DU/DI menetapkan standar kompetensi yang tinggi dalam rekrutmen kerja, terutama pada bagian akuntansi dan keuangan. Hal ini menyebabkan siswa lulusan SMK N 1 Batang yang bekerja di perusahaan hanya mendapat jabatan yang rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti mengajukan beberapa saran antara lain : Pertama sekolah untuk memonitoring kebutuhan dudi dan melaksanakan program-program sekolah (kurikulum) dengan menyesuaikan kebutuhan dan permintaan dunia usaha dan industri. Kedua Perusahaan untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi calon karyawan dari lulusan SMK yang melamar di perusahaan tersebut.Kata Kunci : Kurikulum, Kompetensi Lulusan SMK, Kebutuhan Dunia Usaha dan industri

The Vocational School was established by the goal to prepare the learners for entering the job field. However, the fact at the field showed that The Vocational School contributed the highest jobless in Indonesia. This fact happened because the competence that was owned by the graduators of Vocational School have not fulfilled competence standard that is needed by the job world and industry. The graduators’ competence of vocational school can be increased by giving training and advanced education after graduated from school. The advanced education is not always in the university level, it means that the advanced education can be formed education to strength the field that is learned by the students during at school that is in line with the job world. However, the importance of education investment have not owned by the society. The society more oriented the graduators of Vocational School for getting job straightly without competence measurement that is owned by them. Therefore, the workers’ career of the Vocational School not as good as the other workers who have recognized for increasing their competence through education. The beginning of recognizing of education investment can be done by activating the career planning program. This Program can give direction to the students of Vocational School in order able to measure their own competence. So that, when those students chose the job can be in line with their competence.

This research is intended to find out the relevance of Vocational High School graduates’ competency to business and industrial worlds’ need. In this study, the author wants to obtain data in-depth through qualitative research method with case study strategy. Techniques of collecting data taken were interview, observation, and documentations study. To find out data reliability and validity, the author chose data, source, and time triangulations as data validating instrument. Technique of analyzing data used was Spradley’s domain analysis. The results of research obtained are, among others, as follows. The compatibility of SMK N 1 Batang graduates’ competency in accounting specialty to the Business/Industrial World’s need. The SMK N 1 Batang graduates in Accounting specialty, viewed from the curriculum taught, have been compatible to the Business/Industrial World’ need. However, viewed from standard competency used by SMK is still different from that used by Business/Industrial World. This difference makes not all graduates of SMK N 1 Batang capable of working corresponding to their specialty.

OVOP (One Village One Product) menjadi salah satu program yang diunggulkan dalampemerintahan Kabupaten Batang. Program yang di awali dari ketertarikan seorang GubernurJepang dalam rangka mensejahterakan masyarakat desa ini cukup memberikan perhatianmasyarakat di Indonesia. Melalui program OVOP diharapkan dapat mewujudkanpertumbuhan ekonomi sebuah Bangsa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untukmenggali informasi terkait (1) Bentuk pelaksanaan program OVOP di Kabupaten Batang,(2) Strategi pemerintah dalam pemberdayaan UMKM berbasis OVOP di Kabupaten Batang,(3) Teknik pemberdayaan UMKM di Kabupaten Batang yang mampu menggerakkanekonomi berkearifan lokal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode kualitatif, yangberdesain studi kasus. Penelitian dibatasi pada UMKM berbasis OVOP di KabupatenBatang, yang diambil dua UMKM. Keduanya merupakan UMKM Batik Bagus Warna Alamdan UMKM Kerajinan Kulit Masin. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan denganwawancara, observasi dan kajian dokumen. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui analisisdomain Spradley. Uji keabsahan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknikkredibilitas data. Teknik kredibiltas data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi.Adapun triangulasi yang diambil terdiri adalah triangulasi waktu, sumber dan pengumpulandata.

Character education in college plays an important role to the state wellbeing. It is because nearly all areas in community need good character. College as one of education institution should organize character education corresponding to the culture and mutually approved strategy. Islamic college with strong Islamic culture should have character education design emphasizing on Islamic values. The embedment of Islamic values into character education can be done through: (1) role modeling, (2) learning implementation, and (3) evaluation on students’ character through applying good character to job practice. Those three programs of character education shouldbe taught sustainably to obtain the optimum result. To design an appropriate character education to Islamic College, the author employed the result of collaborative research conducted on two colleges in Surakarta. This result was expected to be the character education design that could be the example in Islamic colleges in Indonesia. Keywords: character education, islamic education, islamic character, character education in college.

OVOP is a program with the following missions: producing globalizing local product, producing product based on self-creativity and ability, and being able to develop human resource competency. OVOP program is expected to realize the superior product in each of businesses belonging to SMEs in Indonesia; thus, it is expected to realize an independent economy. This research aimed to describe the OVOP-based SMEs empowerment design as economic movement with local wisdom value. The research method employed was the qualitative one, with case study design. This research took place in Batik Bagus Warna Alam SME in Denasri Village. Techniques of collecting data used were interview, observation, and document study. Technique of analyzing data used was Spradley’s domain analysis. Data validation test in this study was conducted using data credibility test. Data credibility test was carried out using triangulation technique. The result of research showed that OVOP-based SMEs empowerment in Batik Bagus Warna Alam SME in Denasri Village was conducted in some stages: (1) choosing product with local typical characteristic, (2) education, training, and expert mentor corresponding to each area of SMEs, (3) implementing product monitoring, and (4) mapping local potency based on local wisdom values. However, in practice SMEs empowerment in Batang Regency has not been based on local wisdom values.

Tax Consciousness Inclusive Education is a program created by Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Research, Technology, and High Education (Indonesian: Kemenristek Dikti). Universitas Selamat Sri (UNISS) is one of universities, with 60% working students. However, the authors' preliminary observation showed only 10% of students having had Tax Identity Number (TIN or Indonesian: NPWP), and less than 10% of them having met taxpayers' obligation. The fact made the author interested in finding out "how is the tax consciousness inclusive education applied to UNISS?” This research was conducted using qualitative method with case study design. Meanwhile, data collection was done using three techniques: interview, observation, and documentation study. Technique of analyzing data used was Spradley's domain analysis, in which the data obtained would be processed through triangulation validity test technique. The tax consciousness inclusive education in UNISS is implemented through internalizing it into the learning of General Compulsory Course and taxing course, and technical guide for lecturers and establishment tax volunteer group for lecturers and students.
