Abstract

Problems with democracy in Indonesia indicated that citizens do not have a democratic attitude. This research aims to find out the efforts of the Government of Indonesia in shaping democratic citizens through democracy education. The writing of this article used qualitative research methods with an analytical descriptive approach. To obtain data, this research used library studies with library data collection techniques and documentation. The results of this research showed that the government's efforts to form democratic citizens through democratic education are carried out by making educational policies. One of the Government's efforts that is considered effective to form democratic citizens was to integrate Civic Education with democracy education. This is in accordance with the task carried out by Civic Education to form students into democratic and responsible citizens. Through civic education there will be socialization and dissemination of democratic values in society. This is part of the ideals of democracy, one of which is to realize Civic Education as democratic education. Thus it can be concluded that through learning Civic Education, students are expected to be able to develop a democratic attitude.

Abstract

Model adalah suatu konsep kegiatan yang akan dilakukan, agar memnihu hasil yang maksimal. Begitupun dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan nilai dan karakter membutuhkan model yang tepat dalam mengaplikasikan kepada peserta didik. Pendidikan nilai adalah keseluruhan dimensi pendidikan yang dilakukan melalui pengembangan baik dalam kegiatan kurikulum maupun ekstrakurikuler dan seluruh kegiatan belajar dan mengajar yang dikatakan sebagai upaya penanaman nilai dan karakter. Hal ini dilakukan agar mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal. Dalam penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana implentasi pendidikan nilai dan karakter serta model yang tepat dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan nilai dan karakter. Penelititian ini dilakukan secara studi literatur atau menjawab permasalahan model pendidikan nilai dan karakter di sekolah melalui hasil kajian dari berbagai penelitian yang mendukung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis isi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil temuan tentang keterkaitan nilai-nilai karakter yang ada dalam materi matematika yaitu aritmetika sosial pada buku teks sekolah menengah pertama yang direkomendasikan oleh kementerian pendidikan dan kebudayaan. Materi aritmatika sosial dalam pembelajaran matematika di pilih atas dasar bahwa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari kita tidak pernah terlepas dari kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan aritmetika sosial, sehingga banyak nilai-nilai karakter yang bisa ditemukan dan di eksplor. Eksplorasi nilai-nilai karakter pada materi aritmetika sosial dalam pembelajaran matematika ini sebagai langkah awal untuk memudahkan guru dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional bahwa siswa harus di bimbing menjadi pribadi berkarakter baik, memiliki keterampilan berpikir, dan menguasai ilmu pengetahuan.

Abstract

Latarbelakang dari penelitian ini yaitu karena penulis memahami bahwa pada usia sekolah dasar merupakan tahap perkembangan akhir, saat itu anak akan mulai mengembangkan kata batin, moral dan sekala nilai untuk mencapai kebebasan pribadinya. Pembelajaran tematik yaitu pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan materi dari beberapa mata pelajaran dalam satu topik pembicaraan yang disebut tema sehingga dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna kepada peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini di harapkan dapat mengetahui bagaimana penanaman nilai tolerasi dalam pembelajaran tematik di kelas V SDN Melong Mandiri 2 Kota Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Deskriptif Kualitatif  dengan Teknik pengumpuan data yaitu observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penanaman nilai toleransi dalam pembelajaran tematik di SDN Melong Mandiri 2 Kota Cimahi sudah di implementasikan melalui proses pembelajaran tematik, hal ini terlihat tercapainya kompetensi siswa terhadap nilai toleransi secara terirat seperti (1) Kemampuan menghargai dirisendiri, (2) Keterampilan siswa dalam memberi dan menerima penghargaan dalam berinteraksi dengan orang lain,(3) Kemempuan mengenal tindakan toleran dan tidak toleran serta mampu saling menghargai dalam keberagaman dan (4) kemampuan menyelesaikan konflik secara damai. dengan cara di terapkannya strategi pelaksanaan penanaman nilai-nilai karakter melalui kegiatan rutin, kegiatan spontan, keteladanan, dan pengkondisian oleh guru dalam pembelajaran tematik. kesimpulnannya penanaman nilai toleransi dapat di implementasikan dalam pembelajaran tematik di sekolah dasar dengan penerapan setrategi pelaksaaan penanaman nilai-nilai karakter.

Abstract

To help the elderly in their daily activities, good communication is needed between the elderly and the caregivers. However, the communication limitations of the elderly make interactions with caregivers run dynamically. The purpose of this research is to find out how social interactions are established between the elderly and the caregivers. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a case study method. As for the results of this study, there are forms of associative social interactions such as accommodation and cooperation between the elderly and caregivers. Then, there are forms of dissociative social interaction, namely conflict and contravention caused by misunderstanding of communication between the elderly and the caregivers.

Abstract

Keberadaan perempuan pejuang bukan hanya sebagai “ban serep”. Perempuan pejuang juga bukan sekadar sosok yang tiba-tiba hadir menyeruak diantara dominasi kaum Adam. Justru lebih dari itu. Perempuan juga andil dalam perjuangan untuk meraih satus kemerdekaan.Perlawanan Ratu Zaleha, terdapat beberapa nilai-nilai karakter yang baik yang bisa dijadikan teladan oleh masyarakat umumnya dan juga dapat disajikan untuk peserta didik.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriftif kesejarahan untuk menggali makna dan nilai karakter dalam diri dan perjuangan Ratu Zaleha.Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah adanya nilai-nilai kejuangan yaitu keberanian, pantang menyerah, cinta tanah air dan rela berkorban.

Abstract

This research discusses innovative strategies in building self-confident character in children with special needs through sports activities at the Karawang Regency State Special School. Using a qualitative approach, this research reveals the planning, process, obstacles and evaluation of the internalization of character values in children with special needs. Teachers play an active role in identifying character values, preparing plans, and integrating them into the hidden curriculum. Even though evaluations tend to be subjective, sports activities at the Karawang Regency State Special School have been proven to have a positive impact on character development, especially in the aspects of adaptation, communication and interaction. Obstacles involve diverse student characteristics and sports teacher limitations. This research contributes to further understanding of character formation in children with special needs and provides recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of the sports curriculum in the context of character education.

Abstract

Bandung has become Indonesia’s most congested city, based on a survey from the Asia Development Bank in October 2019. Traffic congestion can affect a person’s physical and psychological condition. This situation encourages a driver to behave aggressively to quickly reach their destination. This study aims to analyze the effect of traffic congestion on Jalan Raya Kopo on the motorcyclists’ aggressive behavior. The method used is quantitative- descriptive. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents with the criteria of motorcyclists who frequently passes Jalan Raya Kopo, aged 17-35 years. The researcher tested the classical assumptions, which included tests for normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. Then an analysis with a simple regression analysis in the form of F test, t test, and R2 is used to analyze the effect of congestion on aggressive driving. The results showed that congestion influenced aggressive driving behavior by 28.9%, while the other 71.1% were influenced by other variables outside the test in this study.

Abstract

The main problem of the environment is human attitudes and behavior that are not friendly to the environment. This shows the weakness of character building in the education process. This research aims to portray the method of value cultivation carried out by teachers to strengthen students' environmental care character in ecology learning at school on the theme of ecosystem balance. This study discusses strategies for improving students' environmental care character in one of the elementary schools in Subang Regency, West Java province with  subjects of the research were elementary school teachers and sixth grade elementary school students.. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study research method and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The data collection process was carried out through stages of observation, interviews, and discussions involving 21 respondents consisting of principals, teachers and students. The results of the research show that the method used by teachers to strengthen students' environmentally caring character in ecological learning is through 5 (five) methods: 1) Information transfer, 2) Training, 3) Habituation, 4) Modeling, and 5) Conditioning. The need for teachers to apply creative and innovative strategies to strengthen students' character in classroom learning, whether in the form of methods, media, approaches and others in learning. Furthermore, other research needs to be carried out in other learning areas to strengthen students' environmentally caring character at school, it can even be developed in school culture and extracurricular activities at school.
