Abstract

Labor is one of the critical periods for women based on IDHS data up to 2020 shows that bleeding, hypertension in pregnancy, and infection are the causes of maternal death. Observation data was conducted in January-February 2022 at 5 Puskesmas in the city of Tasikmalaya, and it was found that 3 out of 5 women in labor underwent exploratory procedures during the third stage of labor because there were signs of retained placenta. The act of uterus exploration could be a portal of bacterial entry into the cavity and cause infection. This study aimed to look at the factors that affect the implementation of uterine exploration in the third stage of labor. The research method uses a sequential explanatory mix method to analyze the supporting factors for third-stage exploration actions by midwives. The research sample was 43 midwives. Quantitative results showed that there was no influence of characteristic factors on exploration actions (ρ more than 0.05), and there was no influence of self-efficacy on uterus exploration (ρ more than 0.05). Qualitative results showed that there were four main factors supporting exploration, such as visible signs of bleeding and weak contractions, ensuring that there were no remaining placentas and routine actions that were carried out. The research concludes that the exploratory action carried out is the midwife's accumulated experience, which results in the perception of dealing with cases of retained placenta in the third stage of labor, this makes the uterus exploration an additional action to anticipate problems.

The population in this study were all children aged 20-24 months with a total of 100 children in the Taman Sari District, Tasikmalaya City . The research results showed that 50 people (50%) had maternal anxiety during pregnancy. The results of the Chi square analysis test on maternal anxiety during pregnancy on the success of exclusive breastfeeding obtained a P value of 0.016. Maternal anxiety during pregnancy on child growth P value 0.008. On maternal anxiety during pregnancy towards child development P value 0.022 . So it can be concluded that there is an influence of maternal anxiety during pregnancy on exclusive breastfeeding, child growth and child development

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a vulnerable period, which is a period of physical (hormonal, primary, and secondary sexual state) and psychological (emotions, social relationships, and sexual behavior) with great curiosity. Both anemia in adolescents and early marriage are the main causes of stunting in babies. Adolescents who are anemic will result in anemia in pregnancy, either mothers with anemia during adolescence, or adolescents who experience unwanted pregnancy in a state of anemia (early marriage). Unlike the previous six applications, SEJATI was developed for adolescent boys and girls, providing a consultation page that is more developed than existing applications. Objectives: The objective of this study is to develop and assess the feasibility of SEJATI, a health promotion application for adolescents, using the SDLC prototype approach to provide improved consultation features and support adolescent healthMethods: This research method uses a qualitative method of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) system development, with a prototype approach, through seven stages of development, namely needs analysis, prototyping, prototype evaluation, system coding, system testing, system evaluation, and using the system. Results: SEJATI is worthy of being used as a health promotion medium for adolescents, with the results of material feasibility >75% both from the material, language, display and increasing motivation to read. Conclusion: The development of health promotion media using SDLC allows each prototype to be continued and developed so that it can be used optimally and as needed. SEJATI is developed with an SDLC approach, with 7 development steps with the assessment of 2 experts and 5 users as a feasibility test in a small scope. The test results are used as a refinement of SEJATI so that the final prototype can be tested for effectiveness.

Abstract

Nutritional problems among infants and toddlers remain a major public health concern. Despite various interventions, child malnutrition persists, highlighting the influence of maternal, behavioral, and environmental factors. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between maternal knowledge of complementary food processing and child anthropometric status. A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted among 75 mothers of children aged 6 months to 3 years selected from 10 Posyandu using simple random sampling. Maternal knowledge was assessed using a validated 25-item questionnaire. Child anthropometric status was measured using weight, height/length, mid-upper arm circumference, and body mass index according to the WHO Child Growth Standards. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Fisher’s Exact Test. Most mothers had good knowledge of complementary food processing (61.3%), most children had normal nutritional status (90.7%). Maternal education was significantly associated with knowledge of complementary food processing (p = 0.014), whereas maternal age (p= 0.848), occupation (p= 1.000) were not. No significant association was found between maternal knowledge and child anthropometric status (p= 0.476). Maternal knowledge of complementary food processing was not significantly associated with child anthropometric status. Child nutritional outcomes are influenced by multiple factors beyond maternal knowledge, including feeding practices, socioeconomic conditions, health status, environmental factors.

Abstract

Background: Optimal antenatal care (ANC) services play an important role in increasing the satisfaction of pregnant women during pregnancy visits to health workers. ANC visits need to be done routinely because it is important to monitor the health of the mother and fetus. Objective: This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction of pregnant women with ANC services at the Mangkubumi Health Center. Method: The study used a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all pregnant women at the Mangkubumi Health Center, totaling 896 people. The sampling technique used was a purposive sampling technique with a solving formula; the total sample was 48 people. Data collection was done by filling out a service satisfaction questionnaire that included tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Data processing by editing, scoring, coding, tabulating, and analyzing descriptively. Results: The results showed that out of 48 respondents, 41 people (85.4%) were satisfied with ANC services, while pregnant women had a lower level of satisfaction, with 7 people (14.6%) being dissatisfied. The results of the chi-square statistical test obtained a P-value of 0.001 <0.005, with an odds-ratio value of 5.646. Conclusion: Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that quality ANC services have a significant relationship with the satisfaction of pregnant women. Suggestion: It is hoped that health workers will continue to maintain existing service aspects and increase responsiveness so that pregnant women are increasingly satisfied with ANC services.
