Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused universities to adapt to various changes, especially lecture activities. The purpose of this article is to describe how lecturers carry out the teaching and learning process during a pandemic. The indicators are teaching methods, technology, schedules, evaluation techniques, and constraints. The data collection technique used a survey approach with 216 respondents. The analysis and discussion results show that the teaching method uses online discussions, online assignments, and virtual face-to-face meetings. In terms of technology, the majority of lecturers use the WA Group application, and the rest uses other media. For learning schedule indicators, the majority of lecturers deliver online learning according to the schedule. In evaluation techniques, most lecturers use online tests or quizzes to assess student achievement. The implementation of distance learning has obstacles, namely the achievement and competence of skills and technical barriers, such as signals, devices, and practical delivery skills.

Abstract

Beberapa tahun terkahir ini anak usia dini dituntut untuk menguasai kemampuan berhitung sebelum masuk SD/MI. Sementara menurut psikologi mate­matika, keterampilan ber­hitung diijinkan untuk dipelajarkan ke anak asalkan konsep dasar pen­dukung­nya sudah dikuasai. Adapun kon­sep dasar pen­dukung dari keterampilan berhitung adalah ke­mampuan meng­urutkan, membandingkan, meng­umpul­kan, konsep him­pun­an, korespondensi satu-satu, dan bilang­an kardinal. Sebagaimana yang disampaikan oleh Piaget bahwa anak usia dini masuk pada tahapan sensorimotor dan praoperasi dimana pada tahapan ini anak belum mampu meng­gunakan aturan yang jelas atau logis, maka pembelajaran konsep berhitung dan pen­dukungnya tidak dapat di­sampai­kan secara formal. Oleh karena itu penggunaan media mutlak di­perlukan. Salah satu media yang dapat menjadi alternatif adalah media berbasis teknologi. Media ini mem­punyai banyak kelebihan, antara lain kemudah­an akses, tahan lama, mudah menyimpan­nya, serta dapat didesain secara fleksi­bel sesuai kebutuhan anak.Teknologi informasi juga sangat tepat untuk anak usia dini karena dapat orangtua/ pendidik dapat memasukkan unsur warna, musik, atau kari­katur yang sesuai dengan kesukaan anak. Adapun untuk menunjang keterampilan berhitung, anak dapat dikenalkan dengan kalkulator, Microsoft PowerPoint, internet, atau mobile teknologi seperti handphone dan tablet.

Abstract

Community resilience is an important aspect of da'wah as an effort to prevent radicalism in Indonesia. The importance of community resilience is based on the phenomenon where the community has become the victim of various events that have the nuances of radicalism. Bombings, shootings, stabbings and vandalism events have harmed the community, both individually and collectively. The destruction of public facilities has disrupted social activities and governance. In addition, violent-motivated events have disrupted people's lives because they feel afraid, insecure, and threatened by circumstances that are beyond their capabilities. Therefore, it is necessary to have da'wah through efforts of resilience in the face of acts of violence with a background of radicalism. This study aims to determine da'wah activities through the form of community resilience by taking locations in the Solo Raya area in the face of various radicalism events, forms of community resilience and how steps are taken to prevent the spread of radical ideology through da'wah activities. This study is a qualitative research with a symbolic interactionism approach involving a number of informants who were selected using a purposive sampling method from 4 areas in Solo Raya, namely Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Sragen and Karanganyar. Data was collected through a Focus Group Discussion technique ( FGD). This study found that Da’wah can be utilised as a method to prevent radicalism through strengthening community resilience. The way of prevention focus on anticipating and adapting to the dangers of radicalism through 4 (four) forms; awareness of plurality, synergy between institutions, cultural communication and strategic partnerships.***Ketahanan masyarakat (Community Resiliency) menjadi aspek penting dalam dakwah sebagai upaya pencegahan radikalisme di Indonesia. Pentingnya ketahanan masyarakat didasarkan pada fenomena dimana masyarakat telah menjadi korban berbagai peristiwa yang bernuansa radikalisme. Peristiwa pengeboman, penembakan, penusukan dan perusakan telah merugikan masyarakat baik secara individu maupun komunitas. Hancurnya fasilitas publik telah menggangu kegiatan dan tata laksana sosial. Selain itu, peristiwa bermotif kekerasan telah mengganggu kehidupan masyarakat karena merasa takut, tidak aman, dan terancam oleh keadaan yang berada di luar kemampuan mereka. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan adanya dakwah melalui upaya ketangguhan (resiliency) dalam menghadapi tindakan kekerasan yang berlatarbelakang radikalisme. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan dakwah melalui bentuk ketahanan masyarakat dengan mengambil lokasi di wilayah Solo Raya dalam menghadapi berbagai peristiwa radikalisme, bentuk ketangguhan masyarakat dan bagaimana langkah yang ditempuh untuk melakukan pencegahan terhadap penyebaran ideologi radikal melalui kegiatan dakwah. Studi ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan interaksionisme simbolik dengan melibatkan sejumlah informan yang dipilih dengan metode sampel bertujuan (purposive sampling) yang berasal dari 4 wilayah di Solo Raya, yaitu Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Sragen dan Karanganyar, dan data diambil melalui teknik Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Studi ini menemukan bahwa dakwah pencegahan radikalisme dapat dilakukan melalui penguatan ketahanan masyarakat yang  merupakan proses antisipasi dan adaptasi terhadap bahaya atau bencana radikalisme melalui 4 (empat) bentuk; kesadaran pluralitas, sinergitas antar lembaga, komunikasi budaya dan kemitraan strategis.

Abstract

Madrasah teachers are currently considered to have lower cognitive competence when compared to formal school teachers in general, although this statement is not entirely correct. Researchers have conducted computational thinking training in several madrasa of Central Java Provinces, like MIN 1 Kendal, MTs N 1 Jepara, and MAN 1 Grobogan. Computational Thinking (CT) involves problem solving and system design by breaking it down into several stages that are effective, efficient, and comprehensive, including decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms which are some of the basic concepts of computer science. The purpose of this study is the implementation of CT by madrasa’ teachers on each lesson to students in order to increase student learning interest. The research method used is blended learning which is a combination of an online course (introduction to Bebras Indonesia and CT) and an onsite course (training on CT and implementation of CT to students). The results showed that there was an increase in the average score of the trainees between the pre-test and post-test of the teachers at MIN 1 Kendal, MTs N 1 Jepara, and MAN 1 Grobogan i.e. 70.23%, 70.01% and 80. 64%, respectively. Furthermore, student testimonials after the implementation of CT in subjects taught by the majority of teachers at 66.79% filled in very interesting so that CT learning was very effective in increasing student learning interest in madrasah.

Abstract

PISA merupakan suatu survei internasional yang bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sistem pendidikan dengan menguji literasi siswa yang berusia 15 tahun pada bidang matematika, sains, dan membaca. Hasil literaasi matematika PISA pada tahun 2015 menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia menempati peringkat ke 63 dari 70 negara. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa capaian pembelajaran pada matematika sekolah tidak berdampak pada literasi matematika siswa. Agar dapat mengetahui kemampuan litarasi matematika siswa secara nyata dalam lingkup yang lebih kecil, penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian survei dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan level literasi matematika siswa kelas XI SMA Unggulan di Kudus, yaitu MAN 2 Kudus dan MA NU Banat. Sampel sebanyak 216 siswa diambil dari kelas XI program IPA Unggulan, IPA Reguler dan IPS yang seluruhnya berjumlah 576 siswa. Instrumen diadopsi dari instrumen tes PISA, dengan penyesuaian pada aspek bahasa dan konteks. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, dan diperoleh bahwa sebanyak 58% siswa berada pada level literasi matematika di bawah level 1, 15% siswa pada level 1, 14% pada level 2, 4% siswa pada level 3, 6% siswa pada level 4, 2% siswa pada level 5 dan hanya 1 persen siswa yang mencapai level 6. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa bahkan untuk siswa berusia 17 tahun level literasi matematika yang dicapai masih rendah.

Abstract

Desmos is a web-based platform that offers interactive mathematical tools, primarily a graphing calculator, to dynamically visualize mathematical concepts. Using Desmos is one solution to the challenges of teaching mathematics, which often lacks engagement and interactivity due to its abstract nature. Mathematics teachers from vocational schools across Salatiga have received training on utilizing Desmos in teaching. As a result, 85% of participants found Desmos easy to use, 80% felt that Desmos significantly aids mathematics teaching, particularly in visualizing concepts, 76% stated that the Desmos Graphing Calculator makes graph presentations in lessons more engaging, 85% agreed that the 3D features in Desmos help students grasp abstract concepts more concretely, 90% felt that Desmos Classroom facilitates real-time interaction through the online teacher dashboard, 80% noted that Desmos Classroom helps teachers assess student work, and 85% expressed their intention to use Desmos in their classroom teaching.

The world is changing, the environmental crisis is happening, the life of any living being is on the line. Nature is facing challenges and degradations that will extended to effect on human welfare and all other life on earth. As in the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals agenda, world leaders command every organization to play a role in protecting the planet from degradation, undertake urgent actions to perform sustainable resource management. UIN Walisongo Semarang is answering the call and respond to this global issues by declaring a vision statement to be a “Green Campus”. It is not merely a statement, but a commitment to take responsibility in protecting and conserving the nature, applied in all activities under the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Education, Research, and Community Services). This paper aimed to elaborate the distinct concept and approach of community service activities implemented in UIN Walisongo Semarang. Eco-Spiritualism Social Empowerment program designed based on fundamental spiritual and religious values about how human connect with nature, and so this connection create a reciprocal-inseparable relationship. How human affects nature, and otherwise, will create a belief and values directing human’s behavior toward nature. Therefore, a spiritual approach considered to be an effective way to empower people in order to create an eco-friendly society. Eco-Spiritualism Social Empowerment program implemented in both rural and urban area, are showing great results on recycle and waste management, plastic waste utilization and creating value added products, skill development and sustainable social empowerment
