Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of science process skills in determining protein concentration. Science process skills can be supported by the existence of effective and efficient worksheets and technological contributions. The free ColorMeter application can be used for colorimetric protein analysis. This study aims to describe the appearance of the worksheet and to analyze the results of the validation test. Worksheets are arranged based on indicators of science process skills, namely the skills to ask questions, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, observe, apply concepts, conclude and communicate. The research method used in the preparation of the worksheet is the R&D method. The validation test is carried out using a questionnaire that contains a worksheet display statement. The results of the validation test carried out obtained an average value of rcount of 0.91 with a valid worksheet description and can be used as a practicum guide.

Abstract

Amina is one of the concepts in organic chemistry that is difficult for students to understand because it is abstract, so students cannot connect understanding between macroscopic-level phenomena, submicroscopic levels, and symbolic levels on the concept of amines. Therefore, it takes a learning medium that can help explain the three levels of representation interactively. The purpose of this research is to create electronic modules as a medium of interactive teaching materials as well as test their feasibility for use by students. The research method is done with research & development, which is to analyze what is needed by students, then create electronic modules, and then applied in learning. The research was conducted on third semester students who have studied organic chemistry. The results showed that the electronic modules created had an interactiveity so that students were able to understand the concept of amines with macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic visualizations. Responders as much as 100% feel the benefits, interests, and motivation in using it. Based on appearance and content, responders rate 85% and 90% respectively. The conclusion is that this electronic module is worth using in studying the concept of amines.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in students' critical thinking skills after implementing SETS-based worksheets (science, environment, technology, society) on colloid material. In this study, the method chosen was pre-experiment and the research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design which was carried out without a comparison group. The research subjects were 37 fourth semester students. The instruments used were worksheets and an eight-item essay test. The results show that the n-gain value obtained is 0.41, including the medium category. Indicators of critical thinking skills that have the highest value are identifying assumptions (79.05) and the lowest asking and answering indicators (28.37). Thus, SETS-based LK has an effect on the critical thinking skills of students.

Abstract

Banana peels contain starch, which is a natural polymer, so it can be used as a base for bioplastics. The purpose of this study is to describe the appearance of product results that have been tested for validation, development of project-based worksheets. Project-based worksheets can be used in practicum learning activities. This research method uses DBR (Design Based Research), with four stages, namely analysis, product design development, product testing, product validation. The experimental procedure in this study was carried out in two stages, namely the stage of making starch flour, the stage of making bioplastic films. The validation test stage is carried out by validators who are experts in the field of learning media and synthetic polymer materials. The results of the validation test mean that the rcount of the worksheet displays is 0.905, the content of the worksheet material is 0.815, and the language in the worksheet is 0.866. This is a project-based worksheet every aspect of the worksheet assessment is declared valid, and this project-based worksheet is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

The industrial revolution 4.0 brings changes to the world of education that demands innovation and the use oftechnology and information in learning. The purpose of this research is to produce a teaching material, namelyan electronic module (e-module) on the use of phytochemicals in the field of pharmaceuticals which is orientedtowards chemical literacy. The method used in this research is the Design Based Research (DBR) method. Theresulting e-module presents material in the form of various phytochemical compounds that have bioactivity asanti-cancer, anti-diabetic, and anti-inflammatory along with chemical literacy-oriented questions. The e-moduleis validated by three validators, namely material experts and multimedia experts. In general, the results of the emodule validation are declared valid with a rcount value of 0.77 and are included in the fairly high validity category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the appearance of the media, analyze the results of the validation test, and analyze the results of the feasibility of an android-based educational game on chemical equilibrium material so that it can be used in learning. The method used in this study is the Design Based Research (DBR) method with the ADDIE model. The data collection technique used a validation questionnaire and a feasibility questionnaire. The validation test was carried out on two Chemistry Education Lecturers at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung and one chemistry teacher at MAN 1 Subang by obtaining an average rcount of 0.79 so that the media was declared valid. The feasibility test for students of class XII IPA MAN 1 Subang as many as 16 people who have studied chemical equilibrium obtained an average percentage value of 79.63% so that the media is feasible to use
