Abstract

This study examines the management of junior high school principals' work deliberations (MKKS) in continuing professional development at the Sinjai District Education Office. The purpose of this research is to find out the description of planning, implementation, supervision as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of MKKS activities in sustainable professional development. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Research data obtained by using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of the research show that: (1) work program planning is carried out by analyzing the needs of continuing professional development (AKPKB) and determining PKB priorities in the work program, formulating the results to be achieved, and preparing sources and uses of funding; (2) the implementation of the work program is carried out in accordance with established procedures by taking into account the three elements of PKB, namely self-development, innovative work and scientific publications, but the implementation of the MKKS program seems monotonous and the PKB program is almost the same every year and lacks PKB implementation on elements of scientific publications; (3) supervision in MKKS includes supervision at the initial stage of planning, supervision of program implementation, supervision at the final stage of evaluating the program and financial supervision whose time is conditioned; (4) supporting factors, namely good collaboration of members due to the need to increase the same competence, support from educational institutions and independent funding, while inhibiting factors, namely being vulnerable to age which results in differences in understanding, difficulties in developing the mindset of MKKS members who are about to retire regarding PKB and meetings the discussion did not bring up new ideas or ideas for program improvement.

Abstract

The paradigm of world religions strongly influences insights about religion in Indonesia. The world's religious paradigm has placed indigenous people in discrimination, and they have difficulty carrying out the religious practices they have been doing for generations. This paper is a critical study of previous studies on the Karampuang Indigenous people, who still view traditions, community and nature relations, and local wisdom through the paradigms of world religions. This article will be examined through a traditional religious approach. This article aims to explain the relationship between the Karampuang Indigenous people and nature, the ecological wisdom of the Karampuang Indigenous people in preserving nature, and the traditions of the Indigenous people in maintaining this ecological wisdom. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews with key informants supported by the literature. First, it was found that the Karampuang Indigenous people see nature as a subject or person. This relationship is interpreted as Mapakalebbi Ale Hanua (respect for nature. Relationships are built because of the awareness that humans are integral to the forest itself. Second, ecological wisdom in the Karampuang community is passed down from generation to generation through Paseng (messages) of indigenous through Lontara and oral speech such as Makkamase Ale (loving the forest), Mappakatuo Ale (humanizing the forest) and Tuo Kamase-mase (living equal and in harmony with nature). Rituals of the Mappogau Sihanua are a reminder of the importance of preserving nature.

Abstract

This study examined the managerial innovations of the madrasah principal at MIS Miftahul Hasanah Muhammadiyah Songing to improve learning quality. Using a qualitative–descriptive design, data were gathered through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis with source triangulation. The findings showed that managerial innovations were realised through collaborative work planning, effective communication, discipline modelling, and teacher capacity-building via Teachers’ Working Groups (KKG), training, facility provision, and follow-up supervisory coaching. However, challenges remained in optimizing instructional delivery and resource use, particularly due to limited ICT support. The study concluded that effective managerial leadership is crucial for aligning goals, enhancing teacher competence, and improving the learning environment. Sustaining gains requires more consistent implementation alongside targeted infrastructure support.

Abstract

This study looks at how well the NHT cooperative learning method helps elementary school students do better in math. The study is inspired by noticing that students don't participate much and don’t learn well in math. Classes are often boring and mostly focus on the teacher. This study uses a simple method where a single group is tested before and after an experiment. It includes 22 sixth-grade students from UPT SD Negeri 41 Mallari. Information was gathered using tests to check learning progress (before and after lessons), student feedback forms, and observation sheets for how lessons were carried out. We analyzed the data using two main approaches: looking at it in a straightforward way and making inferences. This included checking for normal distribution, testing for consistency across groups, and testing our hypotheses with a Paired Samples Test. The study is expected to show that using the NHT cooperative learning model helps students learn math better and makes them more involved in the learning process.

Abstract

Pengembangan Keprofesian Berkelanjutan (PKB) merupakan instrumen strategis dalam peningkatan mutu guru, namun pelaksanaannya di daerah masih menghadapi berbagai kendala. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi praktik manajemen kolaboratif Musyawarah Kerja Kepala Sekolah (MKKS) di Kabupaten Sinjai sebagai model penguatan PKB bagi guru SMP. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman dengan triangulasi untuk menjamin keabsahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan program dilakukan secara kolaboratif berbasis analisis kebutuhan, pelaksanaan lebih berfokus pada pengembangan diri guru dibanding karya inovatif dan publikasi ilmiah, serta pengawasan masih bersifat administratif. Faktor pendukung utama adalah kolaborasi yang solid, dukungan fasilitatif dari dinas pendidikan, dan pendanaan mandiri; sedangkan hambatannya berupa perbedaan generasi dan rendahnya inovasi program. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan MKKS Sinjai sebagai model praktik baik yang partisipatif, akuntabel, dan berpotensi direplikasi di daerah lain.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the character formation strategy of students of the Department of Office Administration of the Makassar National Vocational School. Character formation in the Vocational High School (SMK) environment is very important, especially in preparing students to not only have technical skills but also strong moral and social values. Characters such as discipline, responsibility, and cooperation are the main foundations in dealing with the world of work and community life in general. In the world of vocational education, character formation often receives less attention than the mastery of technical skills, even though the two should be balanced. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consist of educators, students, and school management. The data was analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana and combined with SWOT analysis to formulate a character-strengthening strategy. The results showed that most students demonstrated good responsibility, discipline, and cooperation, although there were still several challenges such as low intrinsic motivation, the influence of the outside environment, and inconsistencies in the application of character values. The strategies implemented by the school include an exemplary teacher approach, project-based learning, extracurricular activities, and strengthening the role of parents and BK teachers. The recommendations from these results emphasize the importance of implementing holistic learning methods, strengthening a positive school climate, and increasing the capacity of educators in guiding students' character. Character building is not an instant process but requires continuity, for example, and synergy between schools, families, and communities. With the right strategy, vocational school students are expected to be not only technically competent but also ethically and socially superior. This study offers a distinct contribution to the existing literature by highlighting how character-building strategies in vocational schools operate through a combination of classroom learning, extracurricular activities, and teacher modeling.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media video pembelajaran mengenai keterampilan melipat surat yang baik dan benar sebagai upaya mendukung pembelajaran administrasi perkantoran. Kegiatan diawali dengan observasi kebutuhan di sekolah mitra untuk mengetahui kondisi pembelajaran dan kendala yang dihadapi guru maupun siswa. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa media yang digunakan guru masih terbatas pada buku teks, sehingga pemahaman siswa terhadap langkah-langkah pelipatan surat belum optimal. Sebagian siswa juga menunjukkan keraguan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran karena kurangnya fasilitas pendukung dan media visual yang memadai. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dikembangkan media video pembelajaran melalui tahapan identifikasi jenis media, penyusunan storyline, konsultasi dengan tiga ahli media, proses produksi, dan distribusi ke sekolah mitra. Media yang dihasilkan diharapkan mampu memberikan demonstrasi visual yang lebih jelas, mudah diikuti, dan dapat diakses secara mandiri oleh siswa. Evaluasi awal menunjukkan bahwa media video memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman keterampilan prosedural dan mendukung kelancaran proses pembelajaran. Pengembangan media ini menjadi salah satu alternatif solusi dalam mengatasi keterbatasan sarana pembelajaran dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran praktik di bidang administrasi perkantoran.
