Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effects of social capital, financial access, innovation, socioeconomic status, and market competition on the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in West Java Province. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, and data were collected from 384 SMEs using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings showed that social capital, financial access, innovation, socioeconomic status, and market competition had a significant positive effect on the growth of SMEs in West Java Province. The study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence on the relationship between these factors and the growth of SMEs.

Abstract

The month of Ramadan is an important moment for Muslim communities in Indonesia which is characterised by fasting for a whole month. In addition to having high religious value, the month of Ramadan is also a moment to look forward to shopping and doing business for MSMEs. In Indonesia, MSMEs are one of the largest sectors and contribute significantly to the economy. However, MSMEs still experience many obstacles in marketing their products, especially during the month of Ramadan. Therefore, research is needed on effective marketing strategies for MSMEs during the month of Ramadan in Indonesia. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques include listening and recording important information to conduct data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study concluded that in preparing an effective marketing strategy, MSMEs should consider online presence, special offers, events or competitions, improving product and service quality, collaborating with other businesses, paying attention to customer needs, and halal products. MSMEs should also monitor the performance of their marketing campaigns, consider ethics in marketing, and conduct sufficient research and analysis before designing their strategies.

Abstract

SMEs are considered the backbone of the economy as they make significant contributions in creating jobs and building local economies. However, SMEs often face various challenges, especially in facing the digital era. This study aims to identify the role of ChatGPT in facilitating SMEs to compete in the digital era and evaluate the impact of using ChatGPT on the business performance of SMEs. This research is qualitative in nature. The methodology used to collect data included attentive listening and careful documentation of relevant information, which was then subjected to analytical procedures such as data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study results arrive at the conclusion that in the ever-evolving digital era, MSME players need to be able to compete with large businesses in utilising information technology and harnessing the benefits that such technology provides. ChatGPT can assist MSMEs in increasing their digital presence, optimising marketing efforts, and developing more effective marketing strategies.

Abstract

In recent years, social media has experienced significant growth and become a very popular platform for individuals and companies. Social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn have become important places for people to interact, share information, and express their opinions. This study aims to conduct a review of current literature on the utilisation of social media in market research and business decision analysis. The focus of this study is primarily qualitative. Methods for gathering data include paying close attention to detail while viewing and recording data, and then using analytical techniques such as data reduction, visualisation, and inference to draw conclusions. The study concluded that utilising social media in market research and business decision analysis can provide significant benefits for companies in understanding consumers, identifying market trends, and making smarter business decisions. With direct access to real-time data and user insights, companies can unearth valuable information about their consumers' preferences, behaviours, and needs.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki bagaimana citra merek, promosi, dan electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) mempengaruhi keputusan konsumen untuk membeli kosmetik MS Glow di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Untuk penelitian ini, kuesioner terstruktur digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari 150 responden menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dan metodologi survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Provinsi Jawa Barat, e-WOM, iklan, dan brand image berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan konsumen untuk membeli kosmetik MS Glow. Selain itu, citra merek ditemukan memiliki pengaruh terkuat pada keputusan pembelian dibandingkan dengan e-WOM dan promosi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi MS Glow dan perusahaan produk kecantikan lainnya untuk lebih memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen dan untuk mengembangkan strategi pemasaran yang efektif untuk menarik dan mempertahankan pelanggan.

Abstract

This study investigates the regulatory environment impacting entrepreneurial activities in Bandung City, focusing on environmental impact, contract law, intellectual property rights, and taxation. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, including a survey of 100 entrepreneurs and interviews with key stakeholders. The results indicate that entrepreneurs in Bandung City face significant challenges in complying with environmental impact regulations, protecting their intellectual property rights, and navigating the complex tax system.These challenges can significantly impact the success of entrepreneurial activities and discourage entrepreneurship in the region. The study identifies several strategies for supporting entrepreneurial activities in Bandung City, including improving the clarity and consistency of regulations, enhancing awareness and understanding of intellectual property rights, and simplifying the tax system. Policymakers could also explore other strategies, such as providing training and support for entrepreneurs on regulatory compliance and intellectual property management. The study highlights the need for policymakers to balance the benefits of regulation with the potential burdens on entrepreneurial activities and adopt a more entrepreneurial mindset in designing policies that support innovation and economic growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify factors that influence the use of ICT by MSMEs, analyse the effect of ICT use on the competitiveness of MSMEs, and develop appropriate strategies to improve the use of ICT by MSMEs. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques include listening and recording important information to conduct data analysis through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study found that ICT utilisation can be an important strategy in improving the competitiveness of MSMEs. In its utilisation, MSMEs can utilise ICT to improve efficiency and effectiveness in business management, expand their market, and improve brand and product promotion more efficiently and effectively. The government and private sector need to play an active role in providing adequate access and technology infrastructure, providing training and guidance for MSMEs, as well as providing online platforms and encouraging collaboration between MSMEs

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan terpadu yang menggabungkan analisis bibliometrik dan tinjauan berbasis mesin untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang strategi pemasaran. Analisis bibliometrik mengidentifikasi tren utama, penulis berpengaruh, dan karya-karya penting dalam literatur. Temuan penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengajukan agenda penelitian, memandu studi masa depan dalam strategi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan tema-tema penelitian utama, seperti dampak strategi pemasaran terhadap kinerja, pemasaran internasional dan ramah lingkungan, serta pengaruh budaya. Selain itu, area yang kurang terwakili yang teridentifikasi memberikan peluang untuk penelitian lebih lanjut untuk memajukan bidang ini.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of mining companies owned by the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The objects taken in this study are mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022, with company codes PTBA, ANTM, and TINS. Analysis of corporate financial performance based on liquidity, activity, solvency ratio, profitability ratio, and DuPont analysis shows increases and decreases in value, but none are consistent. The results of the performance analysis of the three companies are expected to provide an overview to the management of the company concerned to develop future performance improvement strategies, as well as to investors as a basis for comparison, projections, and decision-making in investing in companies in the mining sector, especially mining companies owned by SOEs

Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial performance of PT Sillo Maritime Perdana Tbk (SHIP) in conditions before and after the Initial Public Offering (IPO). The method used in this study is a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach, using secondary data in the form of company financial reports for 2015-2022. To measure the company's financial performance used Liquidity Ratio, Solvency Ratio and Profitability Ratio. The results of this study indicate that the liquidity and profitability of the company after the IPO is better than before the IPO, while the solvency of the company before the IPO is better than after the IPO
