Abstract

Mother's Milk (ASI) is the best food for babies that is produced directly from the mother's breast to her newborn baby, because its composition is appropriate for every baby's growth and development, breast milk also contains protective substances that can prevent babies from various infectious diseases . Dates contain iron, protein, fiber, glucose, vitamins, biotin, niacin, folic acid, and minerals such as calcium, sodium, and potassium which can increase breast milk production . The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dates on breast milk production in postpartum mothers on days 3-9 at PMB Binti Qoni'ah Nganjuk 2021. The design of this study was pre-experimental using a one-group pre-posttest design. In this study obtained a population of 15 people, with a sample of 15 people using total sampling technique. The data was collected using an observation sheet and the hypothesis test used was the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance value = 0.05. The statistical test result from the Wilcoxon Sign Rank obtained p value = 0,01 with an error level (=0.05), it can be said that p < than it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. There is an effect of dates on breast milk production in postpartum mothers on days 3 - 9 at PMB Binti Qoni'ah Nganjuk 2021. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that the research area can be used as input for using dates to increase breast milk production in the development of traditional medicine

Abstract

Anemia is often experienced by pregnant women on average due to iron deficiency. Anemia can cause complications in pregnancy and childbirth. Provision of boiled sweet potato leaves containing vitamin C and iron is expected to be an alternative in increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. This study aims to determine the effect of giving boiled water from sweet potato leaves to increase hemoglobin levels in third trimester pregnant women in the Gemarang Ngawi Health Center Work Area. Method. The research design used was a pre-experimental design with a pre-experimental design. The research sample was pregnant women in the third trimester in the Gemarang Ngawi Health Center working area, totaling 16 respondents. The data collection instrument used an Hb measuring device and an observation sheet. This study used a paired T test, a p value of 0.000 was obtained, which means that there was an effect of giving boiled water from sweet potato leaves to the Hb levels of pregnant women in the third trimester. Sweet Potato Leaf Boiled Water contains vitamin C and iron, where vitamin C helps iron absorption, while iron in Sweet Potato Leaf Boiled Water can help synthesize hemoglobin in third trimester pregnant women to reduce the incidence of anemia. Health workers should recommend that pregnant women consume boiled water of sweet potato leaves because it can be used as an alternative in overcoming anemia in third trimester pregnant women.

Abstract

Anxiety appears in the third trimester (28-40 weeks) starting before delivery. In addition, this third trimester is a high risk of the possibility of premature birth so that it can cause high anxiety in primigravida mothers. One of the factors that need attention is the maternal factor, namely the level of anxiety in the face of childbirth. One of the indicators of anxiety is anxiety, fear and stress. And if not handled, the consequences will have a negative impact which can lead to new problems. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between anxiety levels and the smooth delivery of primigravida inpartu mothers at Gemarang Health Center, Ngawi Regency. The research design used is cross sectional. The population in this study were all primigravida mothers at Gemarang Health Center, with a total population of 30 primigravida mothers. Samples were taken in this study through inclusion and exclusion criteria with data analysis coding, scoring and tabulating. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between anxiety in facing childbirth with smooth delivery in primigravida inpartu mothers at Gemarang Health Center, Ngawi Regency in 2021 (p value = 0.003). Where there is a relationship between anxiety in facing labor and smooth delivery in primigravida inpartu mothers due to an anxious condition, a mother cannot concentrate on the labor process she is facing. This condition at a later stage will reduce power or his so that it will increase the time of delivery because the fetus is not born immediately. On the other hand, when the mother is calm, the mother can gather strength for the physiological process of labor to take place.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) shows that there are 170 million malnourished children worldwide. One of the effects is not to provide breast milk (breast milk) first, namely colostrum as initial immunity in children. A preliminary study at the Tiron Health Center in April 2023 found that only 10% of babies were breastfed after the first birth. This study wants to prove whether there is a relationship between postpartum maternal knowledge about the importance of colostrum with maternal interest in giving colostrum to infants This study is a relational analytical research using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was 180 people with incidental sampling techniques. The variable measured is Post Partum Mother's Knowledge of the Importance of Colostrum as an independent variable, while the dependent variable is the mother's interest in giving colostrum to her baby. The results obtained from this study are that almost all (80%) maternity mothers have good knowledge and only a small percentage (10%) of mothers have sufficient knowledge and (10%) mothers have less knowledge about colostrum. The statistical test used in this study is the Spearman Rho test obtained calculation results with a significant value of ρ value = 0.000 while α = 0.05. Since the significant value is smaller than α = 0.05, H1 is accepted, thus There is a relationship between the mother's postpartum knowledge of the importance of colostrum and the mother's interest in giving colostrum to the baby.As a health teanaga who knows the importance of breastfeeding (breast milk) the first is colostrum. Let's make the 0-6 month breastfeeding program a success for babies, so that they can give birth to more qualified future generations.

Abstract

Stunting can begin as early as adolescence, particularly through anemia in young girls. Anemia occurs due to a lack of hemoglobin, especially during menstruation. If not properly addressed, it can lead to stunting. In Indonesia, the anemia rate among adolescents remains high, reaching 32% in 2018 and declining to 15.5% in 2023. According to the WHO, this figure is still considered high, as it remains above 10%. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase adolescent knowledge and skills regarding anemia prevention. The community outreach activities included pre-test and post-tests, giving health education, and hemoglobin level checks. Results showed that knowledge before the health education was less of knowledge (84.3%), but after the health education increased to 86.8% in good knowledge. Furthermore, hemoglobin level checks revealed that 37% of students had anemia, with half of these having moderate anemia. This community service activity can be a way to prevent anemia through health education and hemoglobin level checks, thereby increasing knowledge about anemia prevention and stunting prevention.
