Abstract

In the current digital era, a brand requires various captivating ideas to convey a message to its audience. The rapid development of information presentation technology is evident with the presence of various media with their respective characteristics and advantages. Through promotional media, the public can receive clear information about products offered by a company or organization. With the increasing number of internet users, the exchange of information has become faster and easier, leading people to prefer communication through the internet as it facilitates communication without time, place, and distance constraints. This ease has led millions of people worldwide to interact using the internet, giving rise to the formation of social media sites. Alongside the evolution of information presentation, the use of motion graphics also provides its own allure as a promotional medium to the audience. Promotional media utilizing motion graphic techniques ensures that all presented information is quickly understood, as the information is conveyed visually and audibly. The creation of motion graphics has become an effective method for producing content for social media. The process of creating motion graphics for social media content involves collaboration among creative teams, graphic design, animation, and editing, making it the focus of research as a model for developing media applications. This design employs a qualitative descriptive research method with a SWOT approach to identify the main potentials to be highlighted. The objective of this design is to create a motion graphic capable of displaying information and attractive potentials for the Yeobo Toppoki brand so that the audience becomes familiar with the packaging and various variants of the brand.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the utilization of information media platforms by the Citarum Harum Task Force Sector 6 in waste management endeavors within the Baleendah District, Bandung Regency. The platforms under scrutiny include Instagram (@guardian_sektor6), YouTube (guardian_citarum), and TikTok (guardian_citarum). Employing a qualitative approach, the study integrates interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. Findings underscore the imperative of developing an official website to enhance information dissemination and organization. Notably, while the Instagram account @guardian_sektor6 demonstrates consistent posting and visually appealing content, shortcomings include inconsistent hashtag usage and limited content diversity. Similarly, the YouTube channel guardian_citarum maintains posting consistency but lacks optimization in SEO utilization and incomplete video descriptions. Meanwhile, TikTok account guardian_citarum, though active and visually engaging, underutilizes features such as hashtags and User-Generated Content. Consequently, the research output comprises a wireframe layout design for the official website of the Citarum Harum Task Force Sector 6. It is envisaged that this wireframe design will amplify the effectiveness of information delivery and waste management socialization efforts in the areas overseen by the Citarum Harum Task Force Sector 6.

Abstract

This study analyzes the visual expression and application of Islamic legal principles, particularly iqtina ash-shurah, in the animated video "Learning Vocabulary: Names of Farm Animals" produced by Yufid Kids. This video serves as an educational medium for early childhood learners to acquire vocabulary related to farm animals. The study is important as it addresses the intersection of Islamic legal principles and visual media, providing a framework for creating educational content that aligns with sharia while remaining engaging and effective. The content of the wimba used is a visual representation of livestock depicted in a simple and unrealistic way, adhering to sharia principles and avoiding realistic depictions of living beings. Visual expressions in the video consist of four types: first, expressing space, which clearly displays the location and environment of animals; second, expressing motion, which includes animations that illustrate animal activities, making it easier for children to grasp vocabulary; third, external expressions that indicate time and space through scene transitions, facilitating contextual shifts in the narrative; and finally, stating importance, which emphasizes key information through visual elements such as color and size to draw attention to essential learning components. From the perspective of Islamic law, the analysis focuses on the application of iqtina ash-shurah, which permits the use of simplified and non-detailed images of living beings, and the inclusion of thayyibah sentences to reinforce Islamic values. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method through visual and sharia analysis. The findings demonstrate that the video successfully integrates effective visual expressions with adherence to Islamic principles, providing an interactive, educational, and Islamic learning experience. This research contributes to the field of Islamic education and visual media by offering a model for developing sharia-compliant educational content, highlighting the theoretical and practical value of visual expressions in reinforcing Islamic values in early childhood learning.

Abstract

In the digital era, animated educational media has become an increasingly effective tool in early childhood learning. Nevertheless, research on how visual signs in educational videos can support the learning process remains very limited. This study analyzes the use of visual signs in the Belajar Kosakata video. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using visual observation and documentation techniques. The research instrument consisted of a visual sign analysis grid developed to categorize the use of icons, indexes, and symbols in educational videos based on Peirce’s semiotic theory. The analysis was conducted on 21 image clips, consisting of 7 icons, 12 indexes, and 5 symbols, selected based on their relevance in delivering educational content. The findings reveal that indexes are the most dominant sign in the analyzed samples, appearing 12 times (57.14%), in the form of sounds and visual effects that link video elements to the concepts being taught. Icons appear 7 times (33.33%) as visual representations of animals resembling their real forms, while symbols are used 5 times (23.81%) in texts or graphic elements that introduce vocabulary. The total percentage exceeds 100% because some images contain more than one type of sign simultaneously. These findings indicate that a semiotic approach in educational videos helps enhance children’s understanding through the combination of visual and auditory signs.
