Abstract

Education is one of the most effective forms of media to give birth to a generation with views that can make diversity a part of unifying the nation. Islamic religious education has actually contained the discourse of multiculturalism, but at the level of implementation, it has not been implemented properly. Efforts are needed to redesign the Islamic religious education system based on multiculturalism so that Islamic religious education is more optimal in disseminating multicultural discourse to students. This research aims to formulate the model's implications for developing multicultural-based Islamic religious education at Samudra University, Langsa City, Aceh Province. The type of research used in this research is R&D/Research and Development. Data collection in this study was carried out through observations, interviews, and document searches. The results of the interviews showed that the methods used in learning at Unsam were lectures and discussions, and sources of material could be books, the internet, previous research, and relevant journals.  So far, Unsam students have good multicultural traits such as tolerance, cooperation, and not being picky in making friends, and these traits are reflected in their daily lives. The material in the RPS shows several materials related to multiculturalism, namely inter-religious harmony, Islamic democracy, civil society, and the welfare of the people, as well as Islam building unity and diversity. To increase the effectiveness of learning, the method that can be given is the brain-based learning method combined with lectures, discussions, or case studies. Another improvement that can be given is to improve the form of learning evaluation and provide training to lecturers to equalize perceptions related to multiculturalism. Materials on multiculturalism can be added with materials on preventing radicalism in students. Keywords: curriculum, education, multicultural, university

Abstract

Excellent relations between the coordinator Ministry for maritime affairs and Investment as users with all stakeholders in the maritime domain as a collector of maritime intelligence data must be established so that users or decision-makers could make the right decisions promptly. Qualitative research is then conducted to find out what hindrances can impede the smooth supply of maritime intelligence data from collector to user and to look into requirements to produce good quality intelligence data for users. The research's data are obtained through library research and then analyzed through the data collection phase, data condensation phase, and data display phase. Finally, it ended by concluding that it is timely for the Indonesian government to create a maritime intelligence agency by grouping intelligence personnel from each maritime stakeholder, which performs maritime intelligence data gathering separately. The next new agency would serve as the only government body to supply maritime intelligence data for users. By doing so, sectoral ego and other hindrances, which often impede unity in serving the country, would be abolished. Additionally, maritime intelligence data sent to users must reflect the truth on the ground from several reliable intelligence sources.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of liquidity and activity on profitability, with capital structure as an intervening variable. Liquidity and activity are proxied by the Current Ratio and Total Asset Turnover, respectively, while profitability is measured by Return on Assets, and capital structure is represented by the Debt to Equity Rasio. This study employs a quantitative research approach. The population consists of cigarette sub-sector companies that are officially registered and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2023. The study adopts a full sampling method, in which all members of the population serve as the research sample, comprising five cigarette sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2023 period. Data analysis was conducted using the Panel Data Regression Model with the assistance of the EViews 12 software. The results of the study indicate that liquidity and capital structure have a negative effect on profitability, while activity has a positive effect on profitability. In addition, both liquidity and activity negatively affect capital structure as the intervening variable. Furthermore, capital structure is found to mediate the effects of liquidity and activity on profitability. The findings reveal that liquidity and capital structure have a significant negative effect on profitability, while activity has a significant positive effect, and capital structure effectively mediates the relationship between liquidity, activity, and profitability
