Abstract

Improving children's literary literacy is an important step towards developing critical thinking skills and life values.  Audio-visual media has proven to be an effective way to increase children's interest and knowledge of literary works, especially Islamic stories. The research subjects were TQA Al-Amanah Gunung Sindur students aged 7-12 years old. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of using audio-visual media in improving children's literary literacy by telling the story of the first revelation, especially Q.S Al-Alaq verses 1-5, to TQA Al-Amanah Gunung Sindur students.  The research method used was qualitative, with data collected through observation and interviews.  The audio visual materials used include animation, narration, and graphics to help children understand the story and moral message of the first revelation. The findings of this study revealed that audio-visual media can increase students' interest in the content presented, improve their understanding of the moral messages in the story, and encourage them to be more involved in literacy activities and Islamic studies.  In addition, the study found that incorporating technology into Islamic literature learning can increase student engagement, both cognitively and affectively.  Thus, using audio-visual media to teach Islamic literacy can be an excellent technique to shape children's personalities from an early age. The findings of this study indicate that interactive technology-based methods are highly effective in increasing students' reading interest, analytical skills and understanding of the concepts contained in Islamic stories.

Abstract

Curculigo latifolia plants have secondary metabolites that can suppress cell division. Compounds that suppress cell division can be used as anticancer drug candidates. This research aims to determine the effect of C. latifolia root extract on cell division and genotoxic effects using bioindicator A. cepa L. var. aggregatum. This study was conducted experimentally with a completely randomized design (CRD) using 6 treatment levels and 5 replications. The treatment levels in this study were K (water), K + (H2O2 300 Mm), K - (H2O2 26 hours + water 46 hours) and a combination of treatments at P1, P2, and P3 with H2O2 immersion (26 hours) and continued immersion of C. latifolia root extract concentrations of 400 µg mL-1, 600 µg mL-1 and 800 µg mL-1 (46 hours). The roots of A. cepa from the soaking treatment of C. latifolia extract were used to make preparations using the squash method. The results of the ANOVA test showed that the administration of C. latifolia root extract had a significant effect on the mitotic index and cell abnormalities (P<0.05). P1 had the most effective value in reducing the mitotic index and cell chromosome abnormalities.

Abstract

Recent studies state that the relationship between inflation and economic growth is not linear. When inflation exceeds a certain threshold, it will have a negative impact on economic growth. This study aims to investigate the linear and non-linear relationship between inflation and economic growth in Indonesia using provincial panel data. The linear relationship was tested using a panel regression fixed effect model, while a non-linear relationship was tested using a panel regression threshold fixed effect model. When a linear test is carried out, inflation in Indonesia does not affect economic growth. When conducting a non-linear test, inflation in Indonesia has a positive impact on economic growth only when the value is below 2.11 percent. Meanwhile, when inflation exceeded 2.11 percent, economic growth in Indonesia slowed down. Inflation control policies must still be carried out to reduce the negative effects of inflation because high and fluctuating inflation is not good for the economy.
