Abstract

The Tumpangpitu mine conflict that occurred in Pancer Pesanggaran village in Banyuwangi not only involved communities with mining pros and cons but also involved students in high schools around mining. The horizontal conflict that was manifested by various protests was followed by the children of parents involved in the competition in the Pesanggaran District. So that the conflict does not spread and impact schools, this study aims to analyze the development model of conflict resolution education in high schools in Banyuwangi to minimize conflicts. The research method uses a mixed, quantitative, and qualitative approach—data collection with questionnaires for students and in-depth interviews with high school teachers in Banyuwangi. As a result, students get into conflict because they jump on the bandwagon. The development model of conflict resolution education is more towards integrating conflict resolution education with other subjects. From the discussion through the focus group discussion, the teachers revealed that this integration model is considered the most suitable because, with its issue, the burden on teachers and students is already very high.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research describes the findings in the field of innovation carried out by the souvenir home industry in Jember Regency, which includes product innovation, service/marketing innovation, and process innovation. This research was conducted in May 2022, with the target subjects being the owners of the local snacks industry. This study uses interviews, observation, and documentation techniques to obtain data on development of the number of local snacks industries, turnover, and regulations related to food/processing companies. The results indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic has threatened business continuity in the three local snacks industries due to decreased revenue and product sales and delays in product marketing and distribution. This indicates that product innovation can lead to easier production; product innovation is also important for effective marketing and, consequently, the company's financial performance. Therefore, business innovation needs to be done in the context of business development, especially local snacks products, so that they can compete with other local snacks household industries.

Abstract

Abstract: The low independence of student learning in the online learning process can reduce the effectiveness of learning objectives achievement, including in economics (accounting) subjects. Accounting includes materials that require analytical skills, high identification, and effort. Therefore, more learning independence is needed to achieve maximum learning goals. This quantitative descriptive research aims to describe how big and to what extent students' learning independence is in online accounting learning activities. The sample of this study was 139 students taken using a saturated sampling technique. The research instruments used were observations, interviews, and documents. Data analysis techniques used percentage analysis classified according to category level and presented in descriptive form. The results showed that of the five aspects measured, one aspect of learning independence was low, namely self-confidence. Low self-confidence hinders the smooth running of learning activities because the classroom atmosphere is less active, so learning objectives are not achieved optimally. This proves that independent learning is necessary to achieve the effectiveness of learning objectives.

Abstract

Digital technology is experiencing very rapid development in all aspects of life, including the educational aspect. This means that teachers must be able to keep up with technological advances. One thing teachers can do is develop and adapt learning materials, for example by developing teaching materials that are integrated with digital technology. However, in reality teachers often experience obstacles in developing teaching materials. One of them, like the phenomenon at SMKN 1 Jember, is that teachers have limi-tations in developing technology-integrated teaching materials. XI AKL 1 students still use text-based textbooks which are still too monotonous and the textbook material is no longer relevant to the learning objectives. So other alternative teaching materials are needed to support learning. The aim of this research is to produce a product in the form of a financial ac-counting e-module assisted by Unity software on accounts receivable ma-terial that is appropriate in terms of content/material, presentation and graphics for class XI AKL at SMKN 1 Jember. This development research uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The research trial subjects consisted of expert validators and the trial targets, namely class XI AKL 1 students. The data collection technique used a questionnaire which was then analyzed using a Likert scale. The results of the analysis from validating the feasibil-ity of the e-module showed that the feasibility of the content/material was 96. 6 % and the validation of the feasibility of presentation and graphics was 86%. Then the analysis results from the student response test ob-tained a score of 95%. From these results, the e-module is very suitable for use as an alternative teaching material in financial accounting learning ac-tivities. The conclusion from this development research is that the e-module product developed is very suitable for use in learning, the e-module makes it easier for students to understand the material, increases stu-dents' enthusiasm in reading learning material, and raises students' enthu-siasm for learning.

Abstract

The method used in this research is development research or Research and Development (R&D) adapted and modified from Branch's ADDIE Model, which consists of five steps. This study aims to (1) describe the process of developing Focusky learning media for the subject of business entities in the Indonesian economy and (2) evaluate how well the media improves the critical thinking skills of high school students. The uniqueness of this study lies in the integration of Focusky a tool rarely explored in economics education with a structured instructional design to encourage critical thinking. In this study, questionnaires and observations were used as data collection methods. Eleventh-grade IPS students at SMAN Pakusari will be the subjects of the study for the product effectiveness test, which will be conducted using effect size calculations and the Paired Sample T-Test. IBM SPSS 29 is used to assist with data analysis in this research. The results show that the integration of Focusky media significantly supports the development of students' critical thinking. Through engaging visual content and interactive features, this media facilitates deeper understanding and active learning. These findings emphasize the potential of technology-based learning tools to enrich classroom experiences and promote essential 21st-century skills in economic education. From the results of the statistical research, it shows that the Focusky learning media is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills based on the significance values of the pretest and posttest from the small group (0.046 < 0.05) and the large group (0.049 < 0.05). The effect size test results for the small group received a value of 0.79 and for the large group received a value of 0.80. Abstract

Disaster management is mostly done through a technological approach. In addition to the technological approach, disaster management needs to use a cultural, non-technological approach. This study focuses on school-based disaster education as one of the cultural approaches in the area affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru, Lumajang. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the disaster education model for high school level based on Disaster Safe Schools in the area affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru, Lumajang. The research method used is descriptive statistics to see students' perceptions of 3 aspects of disaster-safe schools consisting of the availability of disaster-safe school facilities and infrastructure, disaster management for disaster-safe schools and disaster risk reduction education for disaster-safe schools. Through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of social studies teachers, the importance of implementing school-based disaster education was analyzed which includes three aspects of disaster-safe schools. The results in the first aspect regarding the availability of disaster-safe school facilities and infrastructure, on average students have adequate knowledge about disaster-safe school facilities and infrastructure. In the second aspect of disaster management for disaster-safe schools, students view that schools have not fully implemented disaster management and in the third aspect, namely disaster risk reduction education for disaster safety, students consider that it has not been carried out optimally. Meanwhile, for the implementation of disaster education, they prefer a curricular education model by integrating it into relevant social studies subjects. The results of the FGD with teachers revealed that in the first aspect, the four schools did not have adequate facilities and infrastructure. In the second aspect, only 2 schools carried out adequate disaster management, the other two schools were not optimal. In the third aspect of disaster risk reduction education, teachers chose to integrate it into relevant subjects. The conclusion of this study reveals that the school-based disaster education model has not been implemented by all schools in the areas affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru.
