Abstract

Penerapan kurikulum 2013 mengacu pada proses pembelajaran yang dikembangkan atas prinsip pembelajaran siswa aktif. Pada pembelajaran IPA-biologi lebih menekankan pada keterampilan proses yang menuntut peranan aktif siswa dalam sebuah pembelajaran. Pembelajaran aktif siswa dapat terlihat dari motivasi dan hasil belajar yang didapat siswa dalam sebuah pembelajaran, namun pemilihan strategi pembelajaran yang tidak tepat menjadikan proses pembelajaran aktif tidak dapat terlaksana sehigga motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa rendah. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang dapat melibatkan siswa aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar adalah pembelajaran inquiri terbimbing (guided inquiry) dengan pendekatan sains, teknologi dan masyarakat (STM). Pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat menghubungkan pengetahuan siswa secara langsung dengan lingkungan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada melalui bimbingan seorang guru, pendekatan STM merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menghubungkan antara pengetahuan ilmiah (sains) peserta didik dengan pengalaman keseharian peserta didik (ruang lingkup masyarakat) melalui teknologi yang berkembang. Hasil yang didapatkan dari pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar, pada aspek attention meningkat sebesar 5,32 (kategori baik); aspek relevance meningkat sebesar 6,06 (kategori baik); aspek confidence meningkat sebesar 5,14 (kategori baik); dan aspek satisfaction meningkat sebesar 1,84 dengan kategori baik. Hasil belajar yang didapat meningkat pada pra siklus (60,94), ke siklus I(78,05) dan pada siklus II(83,02). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dikatakan bahwa pembelajaran inquiri terbimbing dengan pendekatan STM dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is an outbreak caused by the Aphtovirus virus and is experienced by ruminant livestock. FMD in the Legung Barat area, Batang-Batang, Sumenep usually occurs during the transitional season or weather. The entry and exit of livestock to the animal market is one of the factors of FMD transmission in livestock. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical condition of cattle and the population of cattle affected by FMD in the Legung Barat area, Sumenep. The study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method, using case study methods, interviews, direct observation in the field and data collection obtained through field notes. The results of this study showed a cattle population of 200 heads and 60 heads were affected by FMD. Treatment was carried out using traditional and modern methods. FMD can cause economic losses for cattle farmers in the Legung Barat area because the cattle that are raised will be traded. Therefore, farmers must pay more attention to the cleanliness and health of cattle. One way to prevent FMD is to vaccinate before the cattle are infected with the disease and farmers must always ensure that the cattle are in good health.

Abstract

Macrobenthos is a biological resource of water that lives on the bottom of the waters with characteristics that have a high level of sensitivity to changes in environmental quality as a bioindicator of pollution and environmental quality. The purpose of the study was to determine macrobenthos diversity as an indicator of pollution in the Kalianget coastal mangrove forest. Descriptive research with random sampling method with squared transects. Data collection through observation of macrobenthos populations. Research results a) the greatest diversity of macrobenthos of the class Crustaceans obtained 9 species, class Gastropods 5 species, class Bivalves found 3 species and from class Polychaeta found 1 species. b) The Macrobenthos Diversity Index on the Kalianget coast is 1.084539 with the category of moderate macrobenthos diversity, has moderate community stability and polluted waters but is still within the threshold that living things can tolerate.Diversity; Index diversity; Macrobenthos; Mangrove ecosystems

Abstract

Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, pencegahan penyakit menular dan tidak menular serta pengenalan tentang peran penting golongan darah, perlu ditingkatkan khususnya kepada remaja. Materi tersebut merupakan prioritas global yang mendapat perhatian khusus sebagai target dalam Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Metode Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan menggunakan metode penyuluhan. Adapun tahapan kegiatan ini, yaitu pre test, ceramah, diskusi dan post test. Penyampaian materi secara langsung dalam 1 hari dengan materi kesehatan yang terdiri dari 3 tema. Adapun peserta kegiatan adalah seluruh remaja putri di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Tujuan memberikan pemahaman terhadap perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, penyakit menular dan tidak menular, serta pengenalan dan peran penting golongan darah. Hasil pengukuran pre test dan post test menunjukkan  keberhasilan pemahaman peserta terhadap materi yang disampaikan dengan persentase peningkatan hasil test yaitu 36% mendapatkan nilai  ≥70. Kesimpulan Kegiatan penyuluhan pada remaja putri di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Purwokerto terlaksana dengan baik dan memberikan peningkatan pemahaman terkait kesehatan dan golongan darah.

Abstract

Riparian vegetation is a plant community of several types of habitus such as trees, saplings and seedlings that live on river banks. The characteristics of riparian vegetation which have specifically adapted to environmental conditions make it have many strategic functions in maintaining the ecosystem. Some of the positive impacts of riparian vegetation depend on the varying structure and composition of the vegetation. The destruction of riparian vegetation will result in a decrease in the function of riparian vegetation in maintaining the ecosystem. The aim of this research is to study the diversity and abundance of riparian vegetation and to study environmental factors that influence the diversity and abundance of riparian vegetation. The method used is the belt transect method. The method is to make 4 belt transects, each measuring 10m x 80m. Each belt transect is made into a quadrant measuring 10m x 10m which is installed perpendicular to the river bank. Each quadrant is placed with a sampling plot measuring 2m x 2m for seedlings, 5m x 5m for saplings, and 10m x 10m for trees. Vegetation analysis includes: importance value index, diversity index (H'), uniformity index (E), and dominance index (C). The research was conducted on the Saroka River, Saronggi District, Sumenep Regency. The results of this research were the discovery of 37 types of riparian vegetation from 20 families whose habit was trees, saplings and seedlings. The highest INP for tree habitus is dominated by banana species, sapling habitus is dominated by cassava, while INP for seedling habitus is puzzle. The diversity index at all research stations is moderate (H'= 2.12), the uniformity index is high (E= 0.75) with a dominance index of 0.17 (almost no individuals dominate). Environmental factors that influence the diversity and abundance of riparian vegetation are air humidity, soil pH and environmental temperature.

Abstract

Perempuan Desa Lembung Timur Kecamatan Lenteng termasuk komponen bangsa yang dapat diberdayakan dalam peningkatan taraf hidup dan kesejahteraaan keluarga. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya berbagai program melalui pengelolahan lingkungan sekitarnya. Salah satunya adalah penanaman dan pemanfaatan TOGA. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah pemberdayaan perempuan dalam peningkatan taraf hidup dan kesejahteraaan keluarga. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan, pelatiahan, dan pendampingan, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan pengisian kuesioner. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat berdasarkan hasil kuesioner adalah masyarakat Desa Lembung Timur Kecamatan Lenteng mayoritas tidak memiliki dan tidak pernah melakukan penanaman TOGA di pekarangan rumah, ladang, maupun kebunnya. Selain itu, hanya sebagian dari masyarakat yang kadang mengkonsumsi TOGA disaat sakit. Masyarakat lebih memilih mengkonsumsi obat sintetik dibandingkan herbal. Masyarakat juga kurang terlalu memahami manfaat dan fungsi dari TOGA. Saat selesai penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan jamu, masyarakat mulai tertarik untuk menanan TOGA dan mengkonsumsinya saat sakit maupun tidak untuk meningkatkan kekebalan tubuh mereka.

Abstract

Mangrove vegetation is the vegetation that makes up coastal ecosystems which are the largest ecosystems in Indonesia that provide ecosystem functions and services to marine-terrestrial biota and surrounding communities. Mangrove vegetation is a transitional ecosystem that is directly influenced by land and sea so that transitional areas such as river mouths and coasts. Rivers, estuaries and sea coasts are important components in optimizing the growth and development of mangroves. It is necessary to calculate the biodiversity of mangrove vegetation in rivers, estuaries and coasts in Saronggi District. The aim is to know the types and levels of mangrove vegetation biodiversity as well as studying the effect of environmental parameters on mangrove vegetation biodiversity in rivers, estuaries and coasts Saronggi District, Sumenep Regency. The method used is the quadratic transect combined with Stratified Random Sampling. The results of the mangrove diversity index value by dividing the area were obtained: the diversity index value in the coastal area was 1.379187 in the low category, the estuary area was 3.048782 in the high category, and the river area was 2.863279 in the medium category. The species diversity index in Saronggi District yielded 3.206173 in the high category. This indicates that Saronggi District has a high diversity of mangrove species/vegetation. Several factors became the basis for the existence of a high diversity index due to the large number of species found in Saronggi District, namely a total of 38 mangrove species with details of 22 true mangrove species and 16 associated mangrove species, dominated by Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora mucronata, Sonneratia caseolaris, Rizhophora stylosa and Nypa fruticans, with the highest important value index is Sonneratia alba with a value of 53.38%, Rhizophora mucronata (24,924%) and Nypa fruticans (20,71%).

Abstract

Coastal areas that have an essential role in developing the environmental sector and improving air quality in Sumenep Regency are coastlines with mangroves as the primary vegetation in the coastal ecosystem. There are currently many problems directly related to coastal conditions in mangrove forests. Several villages in the district have mangrove vegetation that is not maintained, and in certain parts, it can even be said that the mangrove vegetation in these areas is seriously damaged. This can be seen from the absence of vegetation/mangrove species that grow well, including the coast in Lobuk Village and Bluto District. So, efforts to preserve mangrove forests are significant to carry out. Community service activities with the theme of revitalizing the mangrove area on the coast of Lobuk Village, Bluto District, aim to restore the primary function of the mangrove forest along the coast of Lobuk Village by maintaining mangrove plants as an effort to improve the ecosystem and mangrove vegetation and reduce the impact of coastal erosion. The activities include site inspection, outreach, training, planting and monitoring of planting results. The results obtained in the mangrove area revitalization activities on the coast of Lobuk Village, Bluto District, based on the third monitoring activity, recorded that 50.67% of the success of mangrove growth was in the pretty good growth category, increase in the Rhizhopora stylosa species was 51.66% in the fairly good growth category, species Ceriops decandra was 48% in the pretty good growth category, the Bruguera gymnorrhiza species was 40% in the reasonably good growth category and growth in the Sonneratia alba species was 63% in the excellent growth category.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor penghambat dalam pertanian adalah serangan hama dan penyakit. Pada umumnya pengendalian hama dan penyakit yang sering dilakukan oleh para petani yaitu dengan menggunakan pestisida kimia, hal ini dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap tanaman, organisme non target maupun lingkungan sekitar. Para petani di Desa Lobuk sejauh ini masih menggunakan pestisida berbahan dasar sintetis atau kimia untuk pengendalian hama dan penyakit, produk pertanian yang dikelola menggunakan pestisida sintetis mengandung berbagai bahan berbaya dan dapat mengancam kesehatan konsumen apabila dikonsumsi dalam jangka panjang. Alternatif yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi resiko tersebut adalah para petani dapat beralih dengan memanfaatkan bahan alami sebagai pestisida. Berawal dari itu mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata Institut Sains dan Teknologi Annuqayah menggelar Pelatihan Pembuatan Pestisida Nabati dengan tujuan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan masyarakat terhadap penggunaan pestisida sintetis serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para petani di Desa Lobuk, Kecamatan Bluto, Kabupaten Sumenep dalam membuat dan mengaplikasikan pestisida nabati (pestisida alami) untuk mengendalikan hama dan penyakit pada tanaman pertanian. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan memberi sosialisasi, kemudian praktik pembuatan pestisida nabati. Hasil yang diharapkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah para petani di Desa Lobuk dapat mengembangkan pengetahuan terkait pestisida nabati sehingga menjadi berkelanjutan, demi terwujudnya sistem pertanian organik yang ramah lingkungan.
