Abstract

Technological developments in the 21st century has been very rapid, forcing teachers to become more creative in terms of creating innovative learning media, interesting, and not left behind. By using visual media the teacher can provide certain visuals to the students in the learning process, which will be expected to help the students in thinking at C3 level. The background of the study is the low ability of students in working on the application of operations in the set in everyday life as well as visualize the operation of the set, based on a survey of researchers through interviews with teachers of SMP Negeri 11 Tanjungpinang. In this study the researcher uses multimedia-based visual media by the use of swish max4 software, to help students think up to level C3 or in the realm of applying especially on the material of the operation of the set and also can visualize the operation set in everyday life. Experiments were conducted in class VII.1 and class VII.2 at SMP Negeri 11 Tanjungpinang, obtaining posttest result of experiment class higher 76,24 compared to control class 66,92, It was proved that class given swish max4 media treatment can help students in Thinking up to C3 level or applying. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan kaidah pencacahan titik sampel. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII SMA N 1 Bintan Timur, Kabupaten Bintan, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Tahapan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menyiapkan dan mengorganisir data kesalahan siswa untuk dianalisis. Selanjutnya proses eksplorasi dan pengkodean data untuk membangun deskripsi dan jenis kesalahan. Proses dilanjutkan dengan representasi dan interpretasi temuan jenis kesalahan siswa serta memvalidasi keakuratan temuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa jenis kesalahan mayoritas dialami siswa adalah reading dengan persentase maksimum kesalahan 66,7%, diikuti kesalahan comprehension dengan persentase maksimum kesalahan 64%. Kesalahan reading dan comprehension menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir siswa dalam memahami permasalahan pada soal cerita matematis. Selanjutnya kesalahan transformation dengan persentase maksimum kesalahan 59,1% dan diikuti kesalahan process skill dengan persentase maksimum kesalahan 52,2%. Jenis kesalahan transformation dan process skill memperlihatkan kurangnya kemampuan kognitif siswa dalam memahami konsep untuk setiap kaidah pencacahan titik sampel yang ditemukan dalam soal. Jenis kesalahan yang paling sedikit dialami siswa adalah encoding dengan persentase maksimum kesalahan hanya 18,2%. Encoding menunjukkan ketelitian siswa menyelesaikan operasi matematika secara tertulis dengan benar berdasarkan konsep matematis yang digunakan dalam menyelesaikan soal. Exploration and data coding were done for building description and types of errors. This process was followed by the representation and interpretation of findings about the type of student error as well as validating the accuracy of findings. The result of this research concluded based on maximum percentage of error. The first is reading with 66,7%, the second is comprehension with 64%. These two types of errors indicate low order thinking of student in understanding the problem of the questions. The third is transformation with 59,1% and then the fourth is process skill with 52,2%. Both types of student’s error showed lack cognitive ability of students to understand the rule of concept. Finally encoding with 18,2%. Encoding was concerned to show the accuracy of students working on mathematical operation in written form correctly based on the mathematical concepts used to solve the problems. Abstract

Fungsi karakteristik dari sebuah peubah acak mempunyai peranan penting dalam mengkaji kekonvergenan suatu fungsi distribusi. Salah satu teorema penting dalam kekonvergenan suatu fungsi distribusi adalah Teorema Limit Pusat Le’vy. Teorema Limit Pusat Le`vy menjelaskan bahwa jumlah dari peubah acak yang saling bebas, berdistribusi identik, dan mempunyai variansi akan mendekati distribusi Normal untuk n yang cukup besar. Jika (?n) merupakan barisan fungsi karakteristik dari barisan fungsi distribusi (Fn) yang saling bebas dan berdistribusi identik dan ? merupakan fungsi karakteristik dari fungsi distribusi F, maka apakah jika barisan (Fn) konvergen ke F akan diikuti kekonvergenan (?n) ke ??. Berdasarkan kajian pustaka diperoleh jawaban bahwa kekonvergenan barisan fungsi distribusi (Fn) ke fungsi distribusi F akan diikuti kekonvergenan (?n) ke ? dengan syarat : FnF syarat perlu ? kontinu pada t = 0 syarat cukup. Kata Kunci : Fungsi distribusi, Fungsi Karakteristik, Kekonvergenan Characteristics function from a random variable has a crucial role in examining the convergence of a particular distribution function. One of important theorems in convergence of a distribution function is theorem of Le’vy’s central limit. It implies that sum of some independently random variables, identically distributed, and having variance, will approach normal distribution for great enough value of n. Given as series of characteristics function from series of distribution function which is independent each other and identically distributed and as characteristics function of distribution function F, then if given series convergent to F, will it be implied by convergence of to ?. Based on literature study, it is obtained that the convergence of series of distribution function to distribution function F will be followed by the convergence of to under these following conditions: FnF necessary condition ? continue on t = 0 sufficient condition. Abstract

Abstract

The lack of use of teaching materials that are able to help learners to understand mathematics learning in schools causes the achievement of students' mathematical skills are still in the low category. The aims of this study is to develop a valid, practical and effective LKPD based on RME approach by using maritime context. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with a limited ADDIE development model that are Analysis, Design, and Development (ADD) stage. Data in the study were collected by the test and questionnaire methods. The research instruments used were expert validation sheets, student questionnaire response sheets, and test sheets. Data was analyzed with descriptive analysis to measure the validity of LKPD, Rasch modeling to measure the practicality of LKPD, and compare individual and classical minimum completeness criteria from students' post-test results to measure the effectiveness of LKPD. The results showed that LKPD based on RME fulfilled valid criteria with the dominance of the assessment in the good category, practical criteria with the dominant response of students in the practical category, and effective with a percentage of completeness of 87%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of mathematic teachers in doing classroom action research (CAR). Specifically, this study aims to: (1) Describe the problem of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research; (2) Describe the factors causing the problems of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research. The study applied a descriptive method. The samples were civil servant mathematics teachers who served in several State Junior High Schools, State High Schools, and State Vocational Schools in Tanjung Pinang City. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed and presented descriptively. Some of them were caused by: 1) being busy; 2) difficulty getting literature; 3) Lack of technology mastery; 4) the CAR training could be more optimal.
