Abstract

Laziness to learn in children is a common educational problem and can hinder academic development and character formation. Low learning motivation is not only influenced by internal factors of the child, but also by external factors, especially the family environment. In this case, parents have a very important role as primary educators who are responsible for instilling learning habits from an early age. This study aims to determine and describe the role of parents in educating children who are lazy to learn and the efforts made to increase children's motivation and interest in learning. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects consisted of parents and school-age children. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques to obtain a comprehensive picture of parents' role in addressing children's laziness in studying. Research results show that parents play a significant role in shaping children's learning habits and motivation. This role includes providing motivation and advice, providing study support at home, monitoring the use of study and play time, and creating a comfortable and conducive learning environment. Furthermore, attentive parenting, effective communication, and the provision of educational rewards and sanctions contribute to fostering children's enthusiasm for learning. Therefore, consistent, active parental involvement can reduce laziness and encourage children to take greater responsibility for their learning.

Abstract

Islamic counselors play a strategic role in fostering the moral character and personality development of students through guidance and counseling services grounded in Islamic values. This article aims to analyze the role of Islamic counselors in shaping students’ personalities characterized by akhlaq al-karimah (noble character) within educational settings. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, drawing upon the Qur’an, Hadith, and relevant scholarly literature related to Islamic counseling guidance and character education. The findings indicate that Islamic counselors play a crucial role in nurturing students’ moral and personal development through the application of advisory methods (mau‘izhah hasanah), exemplary conduct (uswah hasanah), and the habituation of positive behaviors. These approaches are effective in internalizing moral and spiritual values, thereby forming students who are faithful, pious, and responsible in their daily lives.

Abstract

Multicultural counseling based on pesantren values and Islamic spirituality serves as an innovative approach to preventing bullying in pesantren environments. This study analyzes how the integration of pesantren values such as discipline, solidarity, and Islamic spirituality can shape tolerant and empathetic student characters, thereby reducing the risk of bullying. Through qualitative methods involving in-depth interviews with pesantren caregivers and students, the results indicate that this counseling is effective in enhancing cultural and spiritual awareness, which acts as a preventive measure against interpersonal conflicts. Practical implications include the development of routine counseling programs in pesantren to support harmonious and inclusive learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between guidance and counseling services and students’ learning motivation. Learning motivation is an important factor that influences students’ success in the learning process, while guidance and counseling services function as systematic assistance to help students develop their potential, overcome problems, and foster positive attitudes toward learning. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The research subjects were students selected using a specific sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires on guidance and counseling services and learning motivation, and then analyzed using statistical correlation techniques. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between guidance and counseling services and students’ learning motivation. The better the guidance and counseling services provided, the higher the students’ learning motivation. Therefore, guidance and counseling services play an important role in enhancing students’ learning motivation and should be implemented optimally in school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of guidance and counseling services ‎in addressing students’ learning motivation problems in secondary schools. Low learning motivation is one of the factors that ‎significantly affects academic achievement and students’ personal ‎development. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, ‎with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. ‎The research subjects consisted of guidance and counseling teachers and ‎students who experienced a decline in learning motivation. The findings ‎indicate that guidance and counseling services, particularly individual ‎counseling and group counseling, play an important role in helping ‎students understand their learning problems, increase self-awareness, ‎and foster intrinsic motivation. Well-planned and continuous ‎implementation of guidance and counseling services has proven effective ‎in encouraging positive changes in students’ learning attitudes. Therefore, ‎strengthening the role of guidance and counseling teachers is essential to ‎enhance students’ learning motivation in secondary schools‎.

Abstract

Islamic Guidance and Counseling is a continuous process of providing assistance to help individuals develop their fitrah and achieve happiness in this world and the hereafter. This article discusses the techniques of guidance and counseling in Islam, the urgency of Islamic guidance and counseling in education, and the principles of Islamic guidance and counseling. The results show that Islamic guidance and counseling are very important in helping individuals achieve educational goals and form a useful personality in life‎.

Abstract

Islamic guidance and counseling is a strategic effort to assist students in overcoming various problems encountered in the school environment. This approach emphasizes the internalization of Islamic values derived from the Qur’an and Hadith in the guidance and counseling process. This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic guidance and counseling in addressing students’ problems at school. The research method used is qualitative with a library research approach by reviewing relevant literature, journals, and scientific sources related to the topic. The results indicate that Islamic guidance and counseling plays an important role in helping students understand themselves, manage emotions, improve social skills, and develop a balanced personality in both worldly and spiritual aspects. The implementation of Islamic guidance and counseling is carried out through several stages, namely analysis, synthesis, diagnosis, prognosis, and counseling, all of which are based on Islamic values. Therefore, Islamic guidance and counseling can be an effective solution in handling students’ problems and supporting the achievement of holistic educational goals.
