Abstract

Partisipasi politik adalah merupakan salah satu wujud dari sebuah proses demokrasi. Hal ini dapat kita lihat di dalam pelaksanaan pemilihan umum seperti pemilihan umum kepala daerah. Sukses tidaknya pelaksanaan dari sebuah demokrasi dapat diukur dari tinggi rendahnya partisipasi politik dari masyarakat. Namun belakangan ini partisipasi dari masyarakat cenderung turun dapat dilihat dari angka golput yang tinggi seperti yang terjadi pada pemilihan umum kepala daerah Kota Tanjungpinang di Tahun 2012. Tepatnya di Kelurahan Tanjungpinang Kota yang angka golputnya tertinggi se Kota Tanjungpinang yaitu mencapai 51,4%. Ternyata hal yang terjadi pada pemilu walikota tahun 2012 lalu juga terjadi pada pemilu gubernur kepulauan riau tahun 2015 lalu yaitu 38,3%. Perubahan sistem pemilihan yang tadinya dilaksanakan serentak dan sekarang serentak ternyata tidak mempengaruhi tingganya angka golput. Untuk itu dalam tulisan ini akan dibahas factor-faktor apa yang mempengaruhi rendahnya partisipasi politik masyarakat khususnya masyarakat kelurahan Tanjungpinang kota.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problems of mathematic teachers in doing classroom action research (CAR). Specifically, this study aims to: (1) Describe the problem of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research; (2) Describe the factors causing the problems of mathematics teachers in planning, implementing, and making reports on the results of classroom action research. The study applied a descriptive method. The samples were civil servant mathematics teachers who served in several State Junior High Schools, State High Schools, and State Vocational Schools in Tanjung Pinang City. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed and presented descriptively. Some of them were caused by: 1) being busy; 2) difficulty getting literature; 3) Lack of technology mastery; 4) the CAR training could be more optimal.

Abstract

Pembelajaran terdiferensiasi dalam kurikulum merdeka adalah pendekatan dengan melihat keragaman kemampuan, minat, dan gaya belajar siswa. Di SMAN 1 Toapaya telah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka, namun guru sering menghadapi tantangan dalam merancang pembelajaran dengan kebutuhan seluruh siswa. Dalam rangka peningkatan efektifitas pembelajaran dalam kurikulum merdeka di sekolah dan pentingnya penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mengakomodasi perbedaan individu siswa maka TIM PKM memilih topik ini sebagai kegiatan pengabdian. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pembimbingan kepada para guru dalam merancang pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini workshop In On In. Tahap “In” dilakukan di sekolah yaitu penyampaian materi guna memberikan pemahaman tentang pentingnya pembelajaran terdiferensiasi.  Tahap “on” dilakukan melalui whatssapp grup dengan membimbing peserta untuk melihat rancangan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Selanjutnya tahap terakhir “In” kembali untuk mereview rancangan pembelajaran terdiferensiasi yang telah dibuat peserta. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini meningkatkan keterampilan dan pemahaman dalam merancang pembelajaran terdiferensiasi. Dengan demikian, program pembimbingan ini berkontribusi positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan di SMAN 1 Toapaya.

Abstract

This research was carried out to see the difference in improvement in students' mathematical reasoning abilities when the Project, Activity, Cooperative learning, Exercise (PACE) learning model was applied in a maritime context compared to conventional learning methods. This research used a quasi-experiment design on class VIII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bintan, covering classes VIIIA to VIIIH with sampling using cluster sampling techniques and it was found that class VIIIH was the class that received treatment or the experimental class and VIIIG was the control class. Data was collected through observation sheets. and a test of 5 questions in the form of questions describing tests of mathematical reasoning abilities. The results of data processing showed that students in the classes that received treatment had increased their mathematical reasoning abilities with an average increase of 0.378. In contrast, students in the control class had an average increase of 0.25. Based on this, it was found that students who were treated with the PACE learning model in the maritime context showed a higher increase in mathematical reasoning abilities compared to the conventional model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between temperature, humidity, and Rainfall at the Geophysics Station of Padang Panjang from 2020 to 2023. Monthly data from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) was used to evaluate the relationship between these meteorological variables. Statistical analysis, including correlation and multiple linear regression, was conducted using SPSS version 22. The results show a significant negative correlation between Rainfall and temperature, indicating that temperature tends to decrease as rainfall increases. In contrast, a positive correlation between Rainfall and humidity suggests that higher humidity levels are associated with increased Rainfall. However, the regression analysis reveals that temperature and moisture explain only 16.76% of the variation in Rainfall, indicating the potential influence of other factors not included in the model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the implementation of the AIR learning model with the RME approach on the topic of flat sided geometric material in Grade VIII at SMP Negeri 45 Batam. This research is a quasi-experimental type of research, with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was selected using probability sampling with a cluster random sampling method, so that two sample classes were obtained, VIII C as the experimental class and VIII F as the control class. The test instrument in the form of essay questions to measure students' mathematical problem solving abilities on flat-sided geometric material was used to collect research data. The research results showed that the average improvement in mathematical problem-solving abilities for the experimental class was 0.42, while for the control class it was 0.31. From the Independent t-test of N-Gain, the Sig. value was 0.044, it can be concluded that the average mathematical problem solving ability of students through the application of the AIR learning model with the RME approach is higher than the average mathematical problem solving ability of students using conventional learning models.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are defined as students' academic achievements in mastering competency achievement indicators in a material after following the learning process. The results of an initial study at SMA Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang showed that students' mathematics learning outcomes were still relatively low. Implementation of learning with an approach to Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) is a solution that can be offered to overcome this problem. This research aims to determine the effect of learning with this approach, Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL), on the mathematics learning outcomes of class X students at SMA Negeri 4 Tanjungpinang. The approach used is a quantitative approach. A quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design was applied in this research. The sample for this research was selected randomly through cluster sampling so that class X.4 had 35 students and class X.5 had 32 students as the research sample. Pretest-posttest as a data collection technique. Data were analyzed using an Independent Sample t-test with a significance level of 5%. The research results show an influence of the application of learning with the teaching approach at the right level (TaRL) on student learning outcomes in quadratic equation material in class X SMA.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan konsep pecahan pada siswa dengan menganalisis lebih dalam kesalahan yang siswa lakukan saat mengerjakan beberapa soal yang diberikan, sehingga studi ini mengambil desain studi kasus, dengan mengambil subjek studi siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 13 Satu Atap Tanjungpinang yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara, tes yang digunakan merupakan tes jawaban singkat dan tes uraian yang berjumlah 14 soal dengan indikator soal yang berbeda-beda, untuk membantu peneliti mengetahui lebih dalam cara berfikir siswa saat mengerjakan tes maka digunakan instrumen wawancara terstruktur terbuka dengan bantuan alat perekam suara (audio recorder). Hasil analisis yang dilakukan ditemukan bahwa siswa melakukan kesalahan konsep dihampir semua soal dengan persentasi kesalahan di soal 1 sebesar 62%, soal 3 sebesar 80%, soal 4 sebesar 25%, soal 5 sebesar 50%, soal 6a dan 6c sebesar 83%, soal 6b, 6d, 6e sebesar 100%, dan soal cerita di soal 8 dan 9 sebesar 86% dan 7%. This study aims to find out the fraction of the concept of fractions in students by analyzing more in the mistakes that students make while working on some given questions, so this study takes the case study design, by taking the subject of the study of class VII A SMP Negeri 13 Satu Atap Tanjungpinang which amounted to 30 people. The instruments used were tests and interviews, the tests used were a short answer test and a 14-description test with different problem indicators, to help researchers know more about the way students think when doing the test and then used an open structured interview instrument with the help audio recorder. The result of the analysis found that the students made the mistake of the concept in almost all the problems with a percentage of error in problem 1 at 62%, problem 3 at 80%, problem 4 at 25%, about 5 by 50%, about 6a and 6c by 83% 6b, 6d, 6e by 100%, and the story in problem 8 and 9 is 86% and 7%.
