Abstract

Suatu permasalahan yang mendasar yang dialami dosen sewaktu mengajar mata kuliah fisika dasar di kampus STKIP PGRI SUMBAR adalah tidak terjalinnya interaksi timbal balik antara mahasiswa dengan dosen tersebut. Mahasiswa merasa komunikasi perkuliahan hanya satu arah. Fenomena inilah yang bisa memicu mahasiswa cepat bosan dan jenuh belajar, sehingga perkuliahan menjadi tidak optimal.Suatu modul kerja yang digunakan untuk kegiatan pembelajaran yang mengikuti pola coopereative learning  tervalidasi dan siap untuk diujicobakan ke mahasiswa. Suatu system pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini merancang bagaimana supaya mahasiswa itu bisa ikut berperan aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar itu. Suatu solusi yang bisa digunakan untuk memecahkan permasalahan ini adalah dengan membuatkan suatu modul kerja dengan berbasis metode student centre learning ( SCL ). Dengan metode SCL ini mahasiswa dituntut berperan aktif selama perkuliahan, dilatih untuk mengemukakan pendapat sehingga terasahnya kemampuan mahasiswa untuk bisa mengeksplorasi lebih dalam tingkat pengetahuannya. Salah satu model pembelajaran SCL ini adalah Cooperative Learning. Yaitu tipe SCL yang arahannya untuk bekerja sama dalam kelompok. Kata Kunci : Modul kerja, Metode SCL, Cooperative,

Abstract

Fitoplankton merupakan mikroorganisme nabati yang hidup melayang di dalam air, relatif tidak mempunyai daya gerak sehingga keberadaannya dipengaruhi oleh kualitas air, serta mampu berfotosintesis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan jenis – jenis diatom (bacillaryophyceae) yang terdapat pada kolam bekas  penambangan emas dinagari pamuatan kecamatan kupitankabupaten sijunjung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan februari sampai maret 2016 di Nagari Pamuatan Kecamatan Kupitan Kabupaten Sijunjung. Metode penelitian menggunakan survey deskriptif dan teknik pengambilan sampel secara langsung,dimana ditentukan tiga stasiun pengambilan sampel. Pengambilan sampel pada masing-masing stasiun yaitu Stasiun I kolam bekas penambangan yang umurnya sekitar 12 bulan dan Stasiun II kolam bekas penambangan yang umurnya sekitar 22 bulan, sedangkan Stasiun III kolam bekas penambangan umurnya sekitar 54 bulan. Hasil penelitian adalah ditemukan jenis  diatom (Bacillaryophyceae)  yang  ditemukan  pada  kolam  bekas  penambanganemas  yaitu 1 Ordo, 4 Familia, 6 Genus dan 8  Species.

Abstract

There is sand excavation activity by using the machine can destruct the river substrate which effect to the life of the benth: insecta larvae would be hampered. The presence of benth is strongly influenced by the very significant physical-chemical and biological conditions of water to determine the type and density of benth populations in the waters. This study aims to determine the composition of benth: insects larvae in one of the rivers in Indonesia. This research is a case survey research. Sampling is done by setting three research stations and each station has three points of observation. Sampling at three points of observation was done twice. The results showed that the composition of benth found consisted of 3 classes, 9 orders, 14 families and 14 genera, benth diversity index ranged from 0.8691-1.7200, the physical condition of the waters under normal conditions is temperature 23-25oC, degree of acidity (pH) range between 5,93-66, dissolved oxygen (DO) 3,26-5,37 mg/L, while the aquatic chemical condition is not in normal condition is suspended solids content 19-112 mg/L

Abstract

Epilitik algae is part of perifitik microalgae which live by sticking on any subtracts such as; rock, coral, and other solid material under water.  Algae has green pigment which is called chlorophyll so it can do photosynthetic.  Some epilitik algae can adapt in his living place.  Cyanophyta is one of algae which lives in any type of habitas such as; pond, stream even land.  It can live in middle or extreme temperature.  Thus this research was conducted for any kind of epilitik algae in hot water source and its stream in Rimbo Panti reservation in Pasaman.  The research was conducted on June 2010 in survey method.  The sample was identified in Biology laboratory of Biology department in STKIP PGRI West Sumatera.  The concentration measuring of sulfur, nitrogen, and phosphate was done in water laboratory of environment technique department of technical faculty of Andalas university Padang.  The parameter which was used are species. Iden-tification key, description, photo specimen, temperature, pH, the concentration of sulfur, nitrogen, phosphate, and dissolved oxygen (DO).  It was found that there are 11 kinds of epilitik algae where three are categorized as chrysophyta division and eight as Cyanophyta.  In the first station there were 3 epilitik algae and 9 epilitik algae at the second station.  The major species which were found in 90o C are Navicula tenella, Ropalodia gibberula and Oscillatoria minima.  Thus, it was found that the total number of species in each station is different.  Epilitik algae was mostly found in hot water source and only few of them was found in its stream.Key words: epilitik algae, hot water source

Abstract

This study aims to identify green algae (Chlorophyceae) in Asik stream, Kanagarian Lubuk Layang, Rao District, Pasaman Regency .Identification is done at Botanical Laboratory of the Biology Education Study Program STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. This research uses deskriptive survey method. Sampling is carried out direcly on the streams, the technique used is purposive sampling based on environmental conditions in the sreams, by establishing three research stations. From the results of the research, there were 15 species of Chlorophyta in the Asik Streams, include 4 ordo that is Chlorococcales 3 species, Cladophorales 2 species, Oedogoniales 1 species and Zygnematales 9 species. Stream chemical physics factor that are in the normal range to support Chlorophyta life.

Abstract

Rotifers is one of many zooplankton commonly found in freshwater. As the heterotrophic animal rotifers were able to recycle organic material so that the rotifers could live in mined areas or kolong. An abundance of rotifers and chemical physics factor measurements taken at six stations using the method descriptive survey conducted to determine the relationship with kolong’s age. The results showed that the station over the age of 12 months have been located in waters climactic conditions.

Abstract

Ferns (Pteridophyta) are plants that can live easily in various habitats, both epiphytic, terrestrial and aquatic. The Puncak Gaduang Lubuk Basung area of Agam Regency is generally located in a lowland area, with the condition of the land having changed from hills to plantations and a place for taking soil for making bricks, but many types of ferns grow and develop in this area. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of ferns found in the Puncak Gaduang area, Lubuk Basung, Agam Regency and produce a valid herbarium. The method used in this study is a survey method with field observations first in taking ferns. The sampling technique is exploration, and the 4D model is used for the herbarium. The results of the study found 24 species of ferns consisting of 10 families, 4 orders and 2 classes. The validity test on the herbarium is included in the valid category. It can be concluded that and the learning media in the form of a herbarium was suitable for use as a learning medium in schools.

Abstract

Tinggam Community Forest is a highland tropical forest area in which many types of orchids are found. Orchids generally live as epiphytes, but there are also terrestrial ones. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of natural orchids found in the forest in the Jorong Harapan Tinggam Community Forest, Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency West Sumatera. The research method used is a descriptive survey using a roaming technique by tracing the forest from the outskirts to the forest as a whole. From the results of the study, it was found that there were 16 species, consisting of 13 epiphyte orchids, while the terrestrial orchids obtained were 3 species. The orchid species obtained were: Agrostophyllum lampongense Blume., Arundina graminifolia  Hochr., Bulbophyllum sp., Bulbophyllum angustifolium Lindl., Bulbophyllum plavescens Blume., Coelogyne rochussenii Vriese., Cymbidium Rchb.fcrumenatum spp . dayanum De., Eria iridifolia Hook.F., Eria pilifera Ridley., Grammathophyllum speciosum Blume., Phaius tankervilleae Blume. Robiquatia spatulata Blume., Spathoglottis plicata Roxb., Thelasis carinata  Blume. It can be concluded that the Jorong Harapan area is an ideal habitat for orchid growth.

Abstract

Pembelajaran biologi kelas X SMA masih menggunakan berupa buku cetak yang disediakan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan Booklet untuk sebagai bahan ajar tambahan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pengembangan bahan ajar berupa booklet menggunakan model 4D sampai tahap validitas. Data diolah secara analisis deskriptif menggunakan rumus presentase. Hasil validitas yang didapatkan yaitu dengan kriteria sangat valid (93%) yang ditinjau dari aspek isi, aspek kebahasaan, aspek didatik dan kegrafikan. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Booklet yang dihasilkan sudah sangat valid.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya fasilitas belajar siswa di sekolah maupun dirumah sehingga rendahnya hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 6 Padang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan fasilitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar biologi kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 6 Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan Stratified Random Sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 6 Padang yang berjumlah 28 orang dari 136 orang siswa pada semester Ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Instrument yang digunakan berupa angket fasilitas belajar sebanyak 53 peryataan. Analisis data dengan membandingkan uji t dengan kriteria > dengan taraf siknifikan 0,05. Hasil penelitian fasilitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar, didapatkan < yaitu -1,06 < 2,055 maka H1 ditolak, artinya antara fasilitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 6 Padang tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapatnya korelasi antara fasilitas belajar siswa di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 6 Padang.
