Abstract

Hereditas menyajikan materi tentang proses penyilangan pada organisme hidup dan karakteristik diwariskan. Di sekolah, tidak tersedia media yang memungkinkan guru untuk memvisualisasikan bagaimana proses persilangan berlangsung. Media yang ada belum mampu menggambarkan secara jelas materi hereditas tersebut. Penelitian ini untuk menguji media interaktif dan mengungkapkan efektivitas media untuk mengajar topik hereditas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model empat-D (4-D) dan terdiri dari empat tahap yang meliputi tahap mendefinisikan (defining phase), tahap merancang (designing phase), tahap mengembangkan (developing phase) dan tahap menyebarkan (disseminating phase). Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan pada tahap mengembangkan, yaitu tahap efektivitas. Media diujicobakan kepada siswa dari MAN 2 Padang. Sampel yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah 39 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai KKM adalah 80%, dan skor untuk kegiatan siswa adalah 82,14% (sangat efektif). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian itu diketahui bahwa media interaktif pola-pola hereditas telah efektif untuk proses pembelajaran pada materi hereditas

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning terhadap aktivitas siswa kelas X di salah satu SMA di Indonesia. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan partisipan semua siswa kelas X. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan desain randomized posttest only control group. Sampel adalah siswa kelas X IPA3 sebagai eksperimen dan siswa kelas X IPA2 sebagai kontrol dan data dianalisis menggunakan t-test. Intrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah kuisioner sikap dengan skala pengukuran dan diolah dengan rumus persentase, maka diperoleh nilai siswa kelas eksperimen 83,56 dan siswa kelas kontrol 83,49. Nilai yang diperoleh kemudian diuji statistik dengan t-test. Didapatkan thitung = 0,27 < ttabel = 1,67 sehingga H1 ditolak. Berdasarkan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning tidak memiliki pengaruh yang baik terhadap pembelajaran di ranah afektif.

Abstract

This research has been carried wiht the aims to determine the types of plantsthat can be used as a source of honey bee food which is donated as teachingmaterial for X grade biological material, that is the role of Spermatophyta forlife in the of booklet. This research is research based development. For thefield research descriptive survey method is used while for the research the 4Dmodels is used up to the development stage, that is the validity test. Theresults showed that there 43 species of plants used as honey bee food sources.Identified plants are then donated in the of booklet. The validity test results ofthe booklet design are very valid (95.12%). Then it can be concluded that thetypes of plants as a source of honey bee Apis cerana Fabr. and Apis dorsataFabr., what is used as a very valid teaching material.

Abstract

The aims of this research to find out the kind of insects that visited red chili inblooming phase to be used a validity of teaching material. This research isdevelopment research by descriptive with the method of collecting insects thatvisited red chili and development research with 4D models that modifiy fromThiagarajan et al., (1975), arrive developt phase which is expert judge. Thedata was processing and analyzed with qualitatively and descriptive. Basedon the research from type of goer insects, it was found there are 14 species.With results from development research was found criteria very valid(83,1%). Related to this research it can be concluded that types of goerinsects for red chili which contribute to atlas in role of insects for plantstopics is reasonable.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Biologi Umum merupakan mata kuliah wajib yang menjadi prasyarat mata mata kuliah lanjutan dalam bidang biologi, sehingga kompetensi Biologi Umum menjadi sangat penting. Adanya dugaan atau anggapan bahwa jika lulus mata kuliah tersebut dengan predikat sangat baik maka kompetensi mata kuliah lain juga akan cenderung baik. Hal itu menandakan kompetensi Biologi Umum menjadi tolok ukur untuk kompetensi mata kuliah lainnya pada bidang biologi. Oleh sebab itu untuk membuktikan benar atau tidaknya anggapan tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian ini.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara nilai kognitif Biologi Umum dan nilai kognitif Taksonomi Invertebrata mahasiswa Program Studi pendidikan biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat angkatan 2015.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif korelasi yang dilaksanakan pada Maret-Mei 2017 di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Sebagai populasi adalah 123 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat angkatan 2015. Penetapan sampel secara random sampling. Dengan mempertimbangkan kelengkapan nilai Biologi Umum dan nilai Taksonomi Invertebrata, maka sampel (subjek penelitian) adalah 60  orang mahasiswa. Data penelitian berupa nilai kognitif (nilai murni) rata-rata dari nilai ujian tengah semester dan ujian akhir semester.  Nilai kognitif Biologi Umum sebagai variabel X dan nilai kognitif Taksonomi Invertebrata sebagai variabel Y dianalisis secara korelasional dengan rumus korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif tetapi agak rendah dan signifikan antara nilai kognitif Biologi Umum dan nilai kognitif Taksonomi Invertebrata mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat angkatan 2015. Sumbangan kompetensi kognitif mata kuliah Biologi Umum terhadap kompetensi kognitif mata kuliah Taksonomi Invertebrata hanya 32,49%.

Abstract

Abstract. Fern is a plant that is spread so widely that it can be found from the lowlands to the highlands, has a high diversity of Indonesian flora groups and many grow in moist areas such as oil palm plantations, forests, hills and even river flows. In the river there are fern plants that grow attached to the stone. The study was conducted in July-August 2019 and aims to find out the types of fern plants that are used as decorative plants by sociality. The method used in this study is a descriptive survey by field observation and direct collection. Collections obtained were identified using with plant taxonomy books and field guides. Analysis of research data was done descriptively. The results showed that there were 6 types of decorative fern plants consisting of 1 class, 1 nation, 5 tribes, and 6 clans.Keywords: Pteridophyta, The Benefits of Fern

Abstract

Penilaian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk e-handout android bernuansa kontekstual pada materi pemanasan global yang digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran sehingga mempermudah guru dalam menjelaskan materi dan dapat memanfaatkan alokasi waktu yang tersedia di sekolah agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai. Jenis penelitian adalah R&D menggunakan model Plomp dengan subjek uji kelayakan perorangan 3 orang siswa, kelompok kecil 6 orang siswa dan uji kemudahan 32 orang siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Padang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Penilaian ini menghasilkan produk berupa e-handout android yang valid untuk digunakan berdasarkan penilaian dari validator ahli media dengan presentase rata-rata sebesar 97% dengan kategori “Sangat Valid”. (2) Angket kelayakan siswa sebesar 97% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. (3) Respon guru dan siswa terhadap angket kemudahan penggunaan e-handout, guru sebesar 98% dan siswa sebesar 93% dengan kategori “Sangat Mudah”. Sehingga pengembangan e-handout android bernuansa kontekstual yang dikembangkan ini telah layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran karena telah memenuhi kriteria kevalidan, kelayakan, dan kemudahan dalam penggunaan.

Abstract

Since practical lectures were only conducted online through various e-learning platforms for all subjects. Some issues accompanying an online learning include internet signal problem, internet packages data, power outage, weather conditions (rain and lightning), and geographic conditions which may cause internet signal disconnection. Worrying about these issues made the students feel uneasy during the lecturing process, including while doing quizzes and exams. This research aims to determine the degree and significance of the correlation between quiz time usage and cognitive score. The population was 67 students participating in the vertebrate taxonomy course of Biology Education Study Program of Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat and the sample was determined randomly with the criteria for the frequency of participation in the quiz process through e-learning platform eight times. The research data in the form of the time used by students to do the quiz (X) and the average cognitive score of the quiz (Y) were analyzed correlationally. The results showed that there was a moderate and significant positive linear correlation between the time usage and the cognitive scores for the vertebrate taxonomy course. The contribution of quiz time to the cognitive score of the quiz was 53.3%. Keywords: Time Usage, Quiz, Cognitive Score and Vertebrate Taxonomy

Abstract

Practical work guide of Animal Structure using modified free inquiry is designed so that the practitioner is actively able to solve problems through observation, exploration, and practical work procedures. This research uses the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974). In this research, the validity of the practical work guide has been carried out, and then development tests are carried out by looking at student activities in practical work activities using the practical work guide of Animal Structure using modified free inquiry, observed by observers using observation sheets of attitude and skill. The data was processed using the percentage formula proposed and obtained the value of student attitudinal activity 81.65 (very effective) and student skill activity 80.81 (very effective). Thus, it can be concluded that the practical work guide of Animal Structure using modified free inquiry is very effective to bring up scientific attitude activities and student work skills in practical work activities.
