Abstract

This study aims to explore the management strategies employed by an independent veterinarian in serving both large animals and companion animals, with a focus on the practice of Dr. Lailatus Sa’diyah in Pasuruan Regency, East Java. This phenomenon is crucial to investigate as independent veterinary practices face dual challenges in addressing the distinct needs of these two animal groups, yet there is limited in-depth research on this topic in the Indonesian context. A qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design was applied. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The main participant was Dr. Lailatus Sa’diyah, supported by several clients and practice partners selected purposively. The findings reveal three main themes: (1) time management and mobile services to address cross-species and geographical demands, (2) empathetic, educational communication strategies to build client trust, and (3) the role of gender and personal branding in strengthening professional image. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of independent veterinary practice as a socially embedded entity that adapts to local contexts. The practical implications support the development of field-based training policies and community-based veterinary service models. Future research is recommended to explore similar dynamics across different regions and practice types.

Abstract

Periodic maintenance strategies play a crucial role in ensuring vehicle reliability and enhancing operational efficiency in the transportation sector. This study aims to examine the implementation of routine maintenance on the truck fleet of UD Sandi Jaya Transportasi and to analyze its impact on the company’s operational performance. The research adopts an exploratory study design using a descriptive qualitative approach. The objects of study include four operational truck units, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of maintenance records and vehicle breakdown history. Data analysis refers to the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify critical components and determine optimal maintenance intervals. The findings indicate that the absence of scheduled maintenance leads to increased operational costs and vehicle downtime, whereas implementing a periodic maintenance schedule improves fleet availability and reduces the frequency of technical failures. This research offers practical insights for developing maintenance management systems in small- to medium-scale transportation enterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline, work stress, and compensation on employee performance at PT. Implora Sukses Abadi, a company engaged in the cosmetics industry and is experiencing rapid growth in Indonesia. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature studies, with data obtained from scientific journals, human resource management books, and official company documents. The findings show that work discipline that is applied consistently can increase productivity and create a structured work environment. On the other hand, unmanaged work stress can hinder employee performance, although to a certain extent it can be a driver of work enthusiasm. Fair and proportional compensation has been proven to be the main motivator in increasing employee loyalty and performance. These three factors are synergistically related to each other in shaping individual and team performance. This study recommends strengthening discipline-based management, workload balance, and a transparent compensation system in order to maintain the company's competitiveness.
