Abstract

Aquaculture can be improved by a diversified approach in the form of domestication research of a wild fish. The research has been done by cultivating Javaen Barb/Brek (Puntius orphoides) from Serayu river, Banyumas at a natural pond and laboratory scale. Brek fish is relative slow in growth and development of gonad. This research is aimed to determine: (1) the rate of general growth of Brek in the provision of some kinds of additional food; (2) Relative Growth Rate (RGR); (3) Specific Growth Rate (SGR) and Feed Conversion (FC). The research used experimental methods. The method was a completely randomized design (CRD) of 4 treatments and 3 replicationsof: A = 100% pellet; B = 70% soybean sprout and 30% pellet; C = 70% Ipomoea aquatica leaf and 30% pellet; D = 35% soybean sprouts, 35% I. aquatica leaf and 30% pellet. Quantitative data were analysed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) of the fishes growth. The results show influence of feed types to the Relative Growth Rate (RGR) of Javaean Barb. The best RGR with the value of 72.40 was given by feed types in the D combination. Meanwhile, Specific Growth Rate (SGR) and Feed Conversion (FC) were not affected by the feed types. The study were expected to provide suggestions for efficient feeding techniques in attempts at domestication of wild fish. How to CiteSusatyo, P., Sugiharto, S., Hana, H., & Chasanah, T. (2016). Abstract

Education is a human right, especially for children. If ignored, there will be chaos in all aspects of life because of ignorance. In this article, we discuss the educational responsibilities of children, these responsibilities are "photographed" from an Islamic perspective. This responsibility, if fulfilled, must have a clear foundation and must be strongly supported by pillars. Obtaining Islamic education is the right and obligation of all Muslims. The foundation is Islamic Aqidah and the first organizer is the family, namely parents, the main organizer is the government which is operationally implemented by the school. There must be teachers who are competent and have an Islamic personality. The community becomes a supporting organizer, so that the government's burden is lighter and education services are more evenly distributed. Family, school, community and government work synergistically. Help each other, strengthen and compete in advancing education. So that the goal of Islamic education can be realized, namely to produce people who are faithful, devout and have mastery of science and technology. In other words, it produces people with character, namely good people, people who have good hearts, good thoughts, and do good deeds.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of company characteristics and audit firm on going concern audit opinion in companies in all sectors listed on the IDX in 2021-2022. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with the dependent variable going concern opinion and independent variables, namely audit firm size, audit fees, liquidity, solvency, leverage, company size, and company growth as well as two control variables, namely losses and bankruptcy probability. The data was tested using binary logistic regression, the results obtained from this study are that the audit firm size variable has a negative effect on going concern opinion, audit fees have no effect on going concern opinion, liquidity has a positive effect on going concern opinion, solvency has no effect on going concern opinion, leverage has no effect on going concern opinion, company size has no effect on going concern opinion, company growth has no effect on going concern audit opinion, losses have a positive effect on going concern audit opinion and probability affects going concern opinion.

Abstract

Diopatra claparedii Grube, 1878, is a tubicolous polychaete species widely used as fishing bait by local anglers in Cilacap, Central Java, Indonesia. Little is known about its biological characteristics despite its ecological and economic importance. This study aimed to examine the survival rate, growth, metabolic rate, and osmoregulatory capacity of D. claparedii under different salinity conditions. The experiment was conducted using plastic containers (20 × 30 × 25 cm) filled with a muddy substrate and water at four salinity levels: 10, 15, 20, and 25 ppt, with each treatment replicated five times. The results showed that the survival rate of D. claparedii ranged from 87% to 93%, while its growth varied between 0.17 and 0.58 g. The metabolic rate, measured in terms of oxygen consumption, ranged from 0.201 to 0.467 mg·g-¹·h-¹. The  osmoregulatory capacity of the worms varied between 1.26 and 1.54 mOsm·kg-¹ solvent. Statistical analysis indicated that salinity did not significantly affect survival (p> 0.05). However, it significantly influenced growth, metabolic rate, and osmoregulatory capacity (p< 0.05). The results suggested that a 15–25 ppt salinity range was more favorable for the species, with 20 ppt being the most optimal level for its maintenance and growth. This study highlights the potential for cultivating D. claparedii under controlled conditions, providing a sustainable alternative to wild harvesting. As polychaete farming has been successfully implemented in several countries, similar efforts could be applied in Indonesia to support local fisheries while conserving natural populations.

Abstract

The women's farmer group (KWT) "Makmur Berkah" is located in Kutasari Village, Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency, which has activities managing village-owned agricultural land and managing fish farming ponds. Fish farming carried out by members varies, for example, tilapia, gourami, carp, tilapia, pomfret and catfish. Fish farming efforts aim to improve the resilience and welfare of member families, but these activities are still secondary and have not been managed properly and the main problem faced is the provision of fish feed. This community service aims to provide skills in training in making alternative fish feed based on Hermetia illucents maggots. The methods used in this community service are program socialization, material presentation, post-harvest handling training for maggots, making feed formulations, making alternative feed in the form of pellets for fish feed, mentoring, and program evaluation. To determine understanding of the program, an evaluation was carried out in the form of providing a pre-test and post-test. In addition, an evaluation was also carried out to determine changes in partner behavior and the impact of making demonstration plots on partners. The results of community service activities are that the KWT group is enthusiastic about participating in socialization, listening to materials and discussions. Then the KWT group was able to make a fish pellet feed formulation and print fish pellets from Hermentia illusens larvae flour. Thus, it can be concluded that the activities provided were able to equip KWT in producing alternative fish feed based on maggots.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. The critical problems in eel cultivation are slow growth due to low digestibility and high feed conversion. This shows the need to understand the biochemical composition of eel to obtain information about the physiological condition, energetic adaptation, habits, nutritional value, and industrial uses. Nutritional data are also essential to develop a suitable processing method that enables eel to be consumed throughout the year while respecting state-imposed limitations to protect the species. Despite the significant contribution, there has been no data about the biochemical composition and the digestive enzyme activity of eel species such as Anguilla bicolor McClelland 1844, during the reproductive phase. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the biochemical composition of A. bicolor McClelland and the digestive enzyme activity during the reproductive phase. The experiment was conducted through a survey on eels in the reproductive phase with an average weight and length of yellow (106.00 ± 38.1 g and 42.00± 5.78 cm) and silver eel (362.89 ± 88.93 g and 59.86 ± 7.39 cm) respectively. The results showed that Nitrogen Free Extract (NFE) did not substantially alter between different phases, while the percent protein, lipid, ash, and fiber had significant variation (p<0.05). The activity of pepsin differed in various phases (p<0.05), while the activity of trypsin, amylase, and lipase of A. bicolor did not vary (p>0.05). The yellow eel had a higher body protein composition and pepsin activity than the silver eel, although the biochemical composition and other enzyme activities were similar. In summary, the biochemical compositions, and digestive enzymes of A. bicolor varied depending on their phases. Moreover, further studies were recommended to understand the biochemical composition of A. bicolor and digestive enzyme activity during the reproductive phase.
