Abstract

Fase kedua, munculnya gerakan Komando Jihad 1970-an hingga 1980-an yang beberapa aktor utamanya adalah mantan anggota DI/TII era Kartosoewirjo. State of Iraq and Syiria). A series of acts of terror and violence by Moslem organizations which occur approximately the last decade has made Indonesia as one of the countries that receive international condemnation. Consequently arise islamophobia and saw that Indonesia is a terrorist state. Movement of religious radicalization in whatever form, including the most extreme terrorist bombings have actually been around since the 1950 era. The first phase began with the emergence of DI/TII Kartosoewirjo. The second phase, the emergence of Komando Jihad movement of the 1970 until the 1980 that some of the main actor is a former member of DI/TII Kartosoewirjo era. The name Abdullah Sungkar and Abu Bakar Bashir, who came to be known widely as the amir of Jamaah Islamiyah (JI), have begun to burst at that time. The third phase, the various movements of terror and violence that occurred during and after the reformation, the late 1990 to the present. And the fourth phase, characterized by the development of radical Islamic groups, mainly from the younger groups, who actually still has a link with the previous generations of leaders. Radicalization they are more influenced by global events. One example of this organization is the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). Movement of religious radicalization in the course of history of its development is not actually pure movement jihad in the name of religion, but also carries political and economic interests in relation to the global conspiracy. In other word, religious sect is only used as a cover to realize the interests of certain parties.

Abstract

Abstract

In Singapore, Islamic identity matters mainly because Muslims and Malays have special constitutional status. However, state policies seem to contradict the status while the community is still dealing with the problem of backwardness in educational and economic development. This article examines the profile and strategic role of two Islamic organizations, MUIS (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura, the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore) and Pergas (Persatuan Ulama dan Guru-Guru Agama Islam Singapura, Singapore Islamic Scholars, and Religious Teachers Association), in accommodating the expression and reconstructing Singaporean Muslim identity. Through intensive library research and using an interdisciplinary approach from social constructivist and fiqh of minorities’ perspectives, this article found that both have played a very important role in the expression and construction of Singaporean Muslim identity. There have been dynamic contestation and cooperation between the state policies towards the Muslim community. However, the global effect of Islamist extremism and terrorism has united them in terms of religious thought, attitude, and the formulation of the ideal Singaporean Muslim identity. The changing process of their stances toward the government’s policies was effective due to the function of fiqh of minorities in contextualizing Islamic teachings in the context of Singapore as a secular state.

Abstract

This study examines the role that Islamic education plays in the emotional development of children, particularly through family and school environments. The purpose of this study is to investigate how Islamic principles, such as kesabaran, kejujuran, and kasih sayang, can improve children's emotional stability and strengthen Islamic character. Using a pustaka method and a kualitatif approach, this study analyzes many academic topics related to Islamic education and perkembangan psychology. The results indicate that Islamic education that is integrated into families and schools helps children develop empathy, increase their level of patience, and build positive social relationships. Islamic-based education does more than just help children develop their emotional intelligence; it also teaches them how to deal with social pressures in a responsible and efficient manner. Accordingly, this study highlights the importance of teaching children the principles of Islam as a means of fostering their development. Abstract

The journey of democracy in Indonesia from 1955 to 2009 has undergone dynamic changes. This article illustrates that the evolution of the electoral system in Indonesia during this period has seen several changes in regulations, participating political parties, the widening gap and fragmentation of ideologies albeit more moderately, improvements in the quality and degree of democracy, and the increasing role of non-parliamentary institutions. One thing that has remained unchanged is that, generally, the electoral system still adheres to the same proportional representation system, albeit transitioning from closed to open proportional systems.

Abstract

Abstract: This research explores the relationship between the concepts of the Rule of Law, Democracy, and Corruption in Indonesia. Using the Normative Legal Research method, it relies on secondary data sources such as books, journals, and relevant articles to analyze the connection between these concepts. Through conceptual and philosophical approaches, the research examines experts' views and analyzes legal aspects related to the Rule of Law, democracy, and corruption cases. The findings highlight the importance of people's sovereignty in shaping laws aligned with democratic principles, while cautioning against the dangers of misinterpreting laws that could harm society. This study demonstrates that law enforcement concerning corruption must consider democracy's essence as a tool to serve the needs of the people, rather than being the ultimate goal in the state's structure. Keywords: Democracy, sovereignty, people, corruption.

Abstract

Hizbut Tahrir (HT), an organization founded by Taqiuddin al-Nabhani in 1953, is a political party with an Islamic ideology. Politics is the avenue through which HT pursues its mission, and its ideology is Islam. HT's struggle is aimed at making Islam its primary concern, guiding towards the reestablishment of the caliphate system, and upholding the laws descended by Allah in the reality of life. Through various political activities, HT intends to revive the Muslim community from decline, free Muslims from ideas, legal systems, and laws that are considered disbelieving, and seeks to break free from the domination of Western infidel states. HT aims to rebuild the Islamic Caliphate on Earth. What about Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI)? This writing presents the profile of HTI, from its origins, thoughts, to its political movements, especially in the post-reform era in Indonesia.
