Abstract

Amid the hegemony of economic globalisation, which often reduces development to growth figures, this study lays a strong foundation for the urgency and contribution of Indonesia's inclusive economic diplomacy grounded in the Pancasila ideology, as an effort to respond to global challenges while realising national ideals. This study employs a qualitative approach with a conceptual-normative design integrated with policy analysis and critical discourse analysis. The results confirm that Pancasila-based inclusive economic diplomacy will only be meaningful if Indonesia dares to treat Pancasila as a moral veto against investments, trade, and green schemes that appear profitable in paper but are detrimental in terms of distribution to workers, MSMEs, farmers, indigenous peoples, and disadvantaged regions. Pancasila, as the state ideology, can function as a productive diplomatic resource, not merely a symbolic backdrop. At the same time, the practical policy implications require institutional mechanisms that transform Pancasila into decision-making metrics through indicators of local supply chains, skills transfer, protection of labour rights, environmental restoration, SME access to project contracts, and a framework for negotiations in the G20, ASEAN, BRICS, OECD, and UNFCCC forums that place transitional justice as a global moral obligation.

Abstract

The increasing environmental and resource pressures associated with linear economic models have intensified interest in the circular economy as a pathway toward sustainable production and consumption. At the same time, rapid advances in digital technologies have transformed how economic systems operate, creating new opportunities to enhance efficiency through data-driven coordination and optimization. This study examines the digital circular economy as an integrated framework in which technological innovation strategies support both production and consumption efficiency. Using a qualitative descriptive–analytical approach with a conceptual–strategic perspective, the study analyzes academic literature, policy documents, and strategic reports on circular economy and digital innovation. The findings indicate that digital technologies play a critical role in enabling system-level efficiency by improving process optimization, reducing waste, enhancing transparency, and reshaping consumption behavior through digital platforms and feedback mechanisms. However, the study also finds that the transformative potential of the digital circular economy depends on the strategic integration of technology with circular principles, organizational practices, and governance frameworks. The research concludes that the digital circular economy offers a viable pathway toward sustainable efficiency only when digital innovation is aligned with systemic circular objectives rather than applied as isolated technological solutions

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges faced by MSMEs in Bali amid the increasingly competitive era of digitalization, as well as the need to preserve local cultural identity as a source of differentiation. The main objective of this study is to analyze the influence of digital marketing strategies, product innovation, and local wisdom values on the competitive advantage of MSMEs in Bali. This research employs an explanatory quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), involving MSME actors who actively utilize digital technology in their business activities. The findings reveal that local wisdom has the most significant influence on competitive advantage, followed by product innovation. Meanwhile, the digital marketing strategy shows a positive yet statistically insignificant influence at the 5% significance level. Collectively, these three variables explain 85% of the variance in competitive advantage. This study contributes to the development of a glocalization model, integrating digital technology with local wisdom as a competitive strategy. The results provide important implications for policymakers and MSME practitioners in formulating adaptive, innovative, and culturally rooted business strategies.
