Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of an encyclopedia inventory of fern types based on local potential in Biang Rosan Hamlet on interest in learning about Pteridophyta material at SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau. The research method used is research and development (Research and Development) which uses the ADDIE research plan with steps, namely; (1) analysis (analyze), (2) planning (design), (3) development (development), (4) implementation (implementation), (5) evaluation (evaluation). The subjects of this research were 6 development subject validators and 30 trial subjects. The instruments used in this research were validation sheets, questionnaires and tests. The research results are; (1) the validity of the encyclopedia inventory of fern types in Biang Rosan Hamlet by media expert validators and material experts obtained a result of 84% with very valid criteria, (2) the practicality of the encyclopedia inventory of fern types in Biang Rosan Hamlet obtained a result of 91% with the criteria very practical, (3) the effectiveness of the fern encyclopedia in Biang Rosan Hamlet was obtained by learning results with an N-gain value of 0.72 with high criteria. Meanwhile, with the results of interest in learning using the interest in learning questionnaire, results were obtained at 90% with very practical criteria. Based on the research results, the media encyclopedia inventory of types of ferns in Biang Rosan Hamlet is very practical and effective to use.

Abstract

Teaching materials are learning resources that are used to provide information that is prepared to support learning activities that are designed systematically and contain material on learning methods and testing or assessment options that help achieve the expected goals. The aim of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of Project Based Learning (PjBL)-based LKPD to train students' collaboration skills on environmental change material at Mas Al-Jihad Pontianak. This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE model which consists of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The research results show that the average results from material and media experts are 91.16% with very valid criteria, the average of student and teacher response questionnaires is 95.67% with very practical criteria, so that the LKPD is based on Project Based Learning (PjBL ) to train students' collaboration skills on environmental change material, the project results were assessed at 82.85% with the criteria being very suitable for use as teaching material in the classroom learning process. Meanwhile, the collaboration questionnaire showed an average result of 63.70% with practical criteria to use.

Abstract

This study analyzed the effectiveness of integrating Computational Thinking (CT)-based STEM learning in prospective biology teachers at PGRI Pontianak University, exploring students' perceptions, attitudes, challenges, and opportunities. This integration aims to improve critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills to address the challenges of the 21st century. Using Sequential Exploratory Design, data were collected qualitatively through interviews and observations, followed by quantitative descriptive analysis based on student questionnaires. This research involved 100 Biology Education students in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The results showed that STEM-CT integration effectively improved the thinking skills of prospective Biology teachers with positive student perceptions despite technical challenges.

Abstract

Bioteknologi mampu menjawab berbagai kebutuhan pangan melalui olahan makanan fermentasi. Pada perkuliahan bioteknologi telah dibahas mengenai teknink dan olahan ferementasi, namun pada saat evaluasi di dalam kelas, mahasiswa belum mampu menyebutkan secara benar apa saja variasi makanan dan minuman yang termaksud olahan fermentasi maka dari itu perlu adanya pendalaman materi berkaitan dengan bioteknologi, tidak hanya teori saja tapi melalui projek pembuatan makanan ferementasi sehingga mahasiswa memahami bagaiamana pembuatan produk fermentasi dengan benar. Model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar dan mengukur keterampilan kerja ilmiah salah satunya model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengukur perbedaan hasil belajar dan keterampilan kerja ilmiah mahasiswa melalui pembuatan makan fermentasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperiment Design), dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan nilai uji t nilai sig (2-tailed) 0,77 > 0,05, sehingga dapat dikatakan tidak ada perbedaan yang sginifikan pada hasil belajar antara mahasiswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sedangkan Nilai keterampilan kerja ilmiah mahasiswa pada kelas kontrol 81,92 dan kelas eksperimen 85 dengan kriteria sangat terampil.

Abstract

Penggunaan media dan model pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru masih belum dapat mengaktifkan siswa, diharapkan dengan media flipchart pada model learning cycle dapat membantu siswa untuk aktif dan memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan pengaruh penggunaan media flipchart pada model learning cycle terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas X materi Fungi SMA Kemala Bhayangkari. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah  quasi eksperimental design dengan rancangan penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sehingga ditetapkan kelas X IIS 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IIS 7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil uji U Mann-Whitney diperoleh nilai signifikasi 0,00 < 0,05 sehingga diketahui terdapat perbedaan hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa menggunakan media flipchart pada model learning cycle. Sedangkan berdasarkan perhitungan Effect Size, media flipchart memberikan pengaruh hasil belajar siswa sebesar 55,4% (tergolong besar) dan mempengaruhi aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 77,4% (tergolong besar). Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle dengan media flipchart dan LKS, serta terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media flipchart pada model learning cycle terhadap hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

Ferns grow abundantly in humid and suitable areas in the land of West Kalimantan. However, the problem is that students have not been able to differentiate the classification of ferns and distinguish what cormus plants and thallus plants are. Therefore, one of the media that supports students’ understanding of ferns is ethnoprinting. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of West Kalimantan ferns and to determine the feasibility of ethnoprinting learning media, seen from the validity and practicality of the product. This study used the ADDIE development model, and the sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a small-scale sample of 20 people and a large-scale sample of 59 people. The results of the study showed that the diversity of ferns found was 29 species, consisting of 3 classes and 16 families, and the results of the development of ethnoprinting fern products from the percentage of media experts were 84 % and material experts were 81% with very valid criteria, while the practicality response on a small scale was 81% and the practicality response on a large scale was 82% with very practical criteria. Therefore, these results indicate that the development of ethnoprinting products is valid and practical and can be used for teaching fern material.

Abstract

Guru IPA di Kabupaten Mempawah menghadapi kendala dalam merancang LKPD yang menumbuhkan keterampilan abad ke-21 dan relevan dengan konteks lokal. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi melaksanakan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat yang berfokus pada optimalisasi penyusunan LKPD berbasis model pembelajaran ReCLif bagi 15 guru IPA melalui pelatihan lima hari. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, praktik terarah, penugasan penyusunan LKPD, serta sesi klinik berbasis umpan balik sejawat. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru, ditunjukkan oleh 60% peserta yang mampu menyusun kerangka LKPD secara mandiri pada tahap awal dan meningkat menjadi 73,3% guru yang menghasilkan draft LKPD layak setelah proses revisi. Uji coba awal LKPD di tiga sekolah mitra memperlihatkan respons positif siswa, peningkatan partisipasi bertanya, dan kemampuan mengaitkan konsep IPA dengan fenomena nyata. Selain itu, 86,7% guru menyatakan sangat puas terhadap praktik penyusunan LKPD dan 80% merasa terbantu oleh pendampingan fasilitator. Dengan demikian, kegiatan PKM ini terbukti meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mendesain LKPD berbasis ReCLif sekaligus memperkuat komunitas profesional MGMP. Namun, pendampingan lanjutan dan replikasi praktik masih diperlukan untuk memperluas dampak pembelajaran di daerah.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) learning model assisted by instructional videos on the environmental care attitude of eighth-grade students at SMP Bustanul Ulum Lintang Batang in the ecosystem topic. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 15 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using an environmental care attitude questionnaire, observation sheets, and pretest-posttest instruments. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed that the average percentage of students' environmental care attitude after the implementation of the SETS learning model assisted by instructional videos reached *84.40%, which falls into the **very good* category. However, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yielded an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of *0.506* (>0.05), indicating that there was no statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, the implementation of the SETS learning model assisted by instructional videos did not have a significant effect on students' environmental care attitude, although descriptively it showed an improvement toward a better level of environmental awareness.
