Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop and validate web-based learning media utilizing Google Sites with a realistic mathematics education (RME) approach on linear inequality material in one variable that is valid and effective; (2) enhance students' self-determination in mathematics. The subjects consisted of 27 seventh-grade students from a junior high school in Lhokseumawe City, Aceh. This research employed the research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The instruments used include expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires on the practicality of the media, and student self-determination questionnaires. The results indicate that the web-based learning media with the RME approach on linear inequality in one variable is suitable for use and improves students' self-determination in mathematics. This study highlights the potential benefits of web-based learning with the RME approach in mathematics education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi persamaan kuadrat kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Bireuen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimental design dan menggunakan rancangan penelitian posttest-only design with nonequivalent groups. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Bireuen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IX 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IX 4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Adapun Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berupa post-test. Analisis data yang dilakukan untuk tes kemampuan menyelesaikan soal pemahaman konsep menggunakan uji-t karena data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, data diolah menggunakan software SPSS 18. Uji normalitas menggunakan teknik Shapiro wilk, uji homogenitas menggunakan uji levene, dan uji hipotesis sesuai kriteria pengujiannya yaitu jika nilai signifikan < 0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sedangkan jika nilai signifikan ‰¥ 0,05, maka H0 diterima dan Ha ditolak. Dari hasil signifikan statistic Equal Variances assumed adalah 0,00 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Dengan demikian kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi persamaan kuadrat kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Bireuen.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh metode pembelajaran Snowball throwing lebih baik dari pada siswa yang memperoleh metode pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan quasi eksperiment dengan menggunakan nonequivalent control grup design.  penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Gandapura pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis terbagi atas pretest dan Posttest. Analisis data yang dilakukan untuk tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis menggunakan uji non parametrik berbantuan software SPSS 25. Berdasarkan hasil uji nonparametrik mann-whitney diperoleh   berarti ditolak H0 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diterapkan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing berbantuan Vidio Animasi lebih baik daripada peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diterapkan model pembelajaran biasa berbantuan Vidio Animasipada materi Trigonometri kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Gandapura

Abstract

Mathematics is a discipline that is taught at every level of education in Indonesia. Mathematics are interrelated with each other, and cannot be separated from other disciplines and problems in everyday life. Process standards that students use in learning mathematics include problem solving, reasoning and proof, connection, communication, and representation. This study aims to determine the mathematical connection ability of students who are taught through the make a match cooperative learning model better than the students' mathematical connection ability through the scientific learning model on the line and row material in class XI SMAN 1 Pintu Rime Gayo. This research is a quasi-experimental study using the pretest-posttest group design. The samples taken were class XI MIA 2 as the experimental class and XI MIA 1 as the control class. Retrieval of data in research using tests. The data collected from the test results were analyzed using SPSS version 18 to find normality using the Shapiro-Wilk test and to test the hypothesis using the Mann-Whitney-Test. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that the N-gain average score of students who apply the make a match cooperative learning model is 0.71 (high category), higher than students who use scientific learning of 0.36 (moderate category). From the results of the Mann-Whitney-Test above, the Asymp value is obtained. Sig (1-tailed) is 0.0005 <α 0.05. This shows that the increase in students' mathematical connection ability through cooperative learning type make a match is significantly better than students who get scientific learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determined whether there was an increase in student cognitive learning outcomes through the use of a Moodle-based Learning Management System in mathematics and physics learning.. This type of research uses a pre experimental design. The population in this study were students of Babussalam SMKS, while the sample was class XI students of the Babussalam North Aceh Islamic Boarding School. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of research data, The percentage of the number of students who met the completeness criteria in the physics class was 67% while in the mathematics class it was 91%. The average N-gain of cognitive learning outcomes for mathematics class was 0.6, higher than the N-gain average for Physics subjects, 0.475. This is because physics learning is not sufficiently taught through the delivery of material through Moodle, but must involve students in learning with a scientific approach. In this study, Moodle has not optimally integrated learning activities with a scientific approach so that cognitive learning outcomes have not reached the expected targets in physics subjects and  learning is not sufficiently taught through the delivery of material through Moodle, but must involve students in learning with a scientific approach.
