Abstract

This study aims to determine the importance of understanding the impact of extracurricular activities on the development of student character and leadership abilities. This research is qualitative research with descriptive methods, because this research aims to get an in-depth picture. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that extracurricular activities in fostering student character have a significant positive impact on student character building, especially in the development of social skills, ethics, and personal values that support positive character. Existing research and theory support this positive relationship, and extracurricular activities give students the opportunity to internalize that character. In addition, extracurricular activities can also play an important role in the development of student leadership abilities, by providing experience in organizing, motivating, and managing conflicts. However, it is important to realize the importance of supporting and encouraging active participation of students in extracurricular activities as an integral part of higher education. Educational institutions need to provide financial and non-material support, as well as competent human resources in managing extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Economic growth is the process of increasing a country's capacity to produce goods and services, which are part of long-term economic activity. One of indicators that can support increasing economic growth in a region is the human development index. The purpose of this research is to find out the impact of the Human Development Index on Economic Growth in Luwu Raya. The data used is a ten year time series data. The data were obtained from the Luwu Raya Central Statistics Agency which provided data on the Human Development Index and Economic Growth for 2011 - 2020. In this research, simple linear regression analysis method was used to process data through SPSS version 20. The test results showed that the coefficient of the independent variable was 0.257 or 25,7%. It can be said that the dependent variable was influenced by independent variables, and 74,3 percent of the variables were influenced by other variables not related to the research. Human Development Index and Economic Growth was not effect on the relationship between variables. Economic Growth will increase by 50,7 percent for every 1% increase in the Human Development Index. It is expected that the government of Luwu Raya can implement appropriate policies to improve the quality of the Human Development Index, so it can promote economic growth based on the findings of this study.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to identify the factors that influence the economy in Luwu Raya. In this study, government expenditure and labor are considered as independent variables, while economic growth is considered as the dependent variable. The basic theories used in this research include Keynesian theory (Harrod-Domar) and John Stuart Mill's theory, which explain how government policies and labor relations affect economic growth. Data on government expenditure by expenditure type disclosed by BPS Luwu Raya and GDP data based on constant prices in 2010 with annual data from 2012 to 2021 for the business sector are the information used in this research. Labor data for Luwu Raya is annual information covering the years 2012 to 2021. The SPSS version 20 application is used for multiple regression-based analysis. The results of the research show that government expenditure has a significant and positive impact on the economic growth of Luwu Raya, while labor does not have a significant influence on economic growth. In this study, the independent variables contribute to a decrease in the dependent variable, with a value of 0.996 or 99.6%, and 4% of the independent variables are influenced by other variables during the study. Therefore, it can be concluded that government expenditure is an important factor that influences economic growth in Luwu Raya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify and assess the role of private investment and public spending on the poverty rate in 2014-2021. The population used in this study, namely Luwu Raya Regency in South Sulawesi Province, was used as a sample. The data used in this study is secondary data provided as supporting information. The sampling method of this study uses several linear regression analysis methods, namely classical assumptions and time series data. The results of this study indicate that the independent variables of private investment and public spending do not simultaneously influence the dependent variable on the level of poverty in Luwu Raya. Abstract

Abstract Purpose - This research aims to determine the influence of work involvement and work-life balance on employee performance at PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch. The research method used was multiple linear regression using 58 employees of PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch as a sample. Design/methodology/approach - This quantitative study uses associativity or relationships between variables. The goal is to find out how three or more variables relate to each other. This research was conducted at PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch, with 58 employees as samples. The sampling method is purposive. The data analysis technique in this research begins by conducting instrument tests, namely validity and reliability tes. Finding - The results of this research show that the work engagement variable is significant on employee performance. The work-life balance variable is positive and significant on employee performance at PT. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch. Work engagement and work-life balance simultaneously influence the performance of PT employees. KB Financia Multi Finance Palopo Branch. Originality - The research results show that employee performance is significantly influenced by work-life balance. Lockwood's work-life balance theory describes work-life balance as when a person can organize and divide his responsibilities between work, family life, and other responsibilities so that there is no conflict between family life and work.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of several main factors, namely economic growth, minimum wages, and education levels, on the unemployment rate in Palopo City using a quantitative approach through multiple linear regression on time-series data during the period 2010-2023. Although the three variables have theoretical relevance in influencing the unemployment rate, the results of the study show that partially or simultaneously, there is no significant influence of economic growth, minimum wages, and education levels on the unemployment rate in Palopo City. Statistically, the contribution of the three variables only reaches 20.9%, while the rest, namely 79.1%, is influenced by other factors not included in this analysis model. This finding indicates a mismatch between the existing education system and the needs of the local labor market, where many graduates do not have skills that are in accordance with the developing job sectors. Therefore, this study suggests the need for more adaptive and relevant local policies, which not only focus on increasing wages and education, but also on creating better quality jobs that are in accordance with market needs, in order to reduce unemployment and improve the welfare of the Palopo City community as a whole.

Abstract

Every company, including MSMEs, must have accurate financial statements that comply with financial accounting standards, as this is important to maintain the financial health of the business. In addition, tax compliance and the implementation of good risk management are also challenges that must be faced by MSMEs to ensure business continuity in the midst of various operational risks. This service program aims to increase the capacity of financial management, tax understanding, and risk management in partners, The activities carried out include the creation and implementation of a simple financial system, tax training, and the implementation of risk management strategies that are tailored to the characteristics of the partner's business. The process of implementing the activity was carried out in several stages of activities, including Focus Group Discussion (FGD), the creation and implementation of financial system applications, taxation training, and risk management training, followed by socialization through training. Monitoring and evaluation are carried out to ensure that partners are able to use the system properly, as well as benefit from the technical training provided. The results of this service activity show that partners have experienced significant improvements in financial management, including more orderly recording and reporting of finances and in accordance with accounting standards. In addition, partners' understanding of tax obligations has also improved, shown by better compliance in complying with tax regulations. Not only that, partners' awareness of business risks is also increasing, where they are now better equipped to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks that may arise in daily operations. This program is expected to be a model of service that can be applied to other MSMEs in similar sectors..

Abstract

Penelitian ini menelaah peran ekonomi dan jumlah penduduk dalam memengaruhi kemiskinan di Sulawesi Selatan secara lebih mendalam. Pertumbuhan ekonomi dianggap sebagai strategi untuk mengurangi kemiskinan, tetapi peningkatan jangka pendek tidak selalu berdampak positif pada stabilitas daerah. Meskipun ekonomi nasional menunjukkan kemajuan, kemiskinan tetap menjadi masalah di beberapa wilayah. Faktor-faktor seperti infrastruktur dan ketersediaan sumber daya juga berperan dalam kemiskinan. Penanggulangan kemiskinan memerlukan kolaborasi dari berbagai pihak. Data sekunder dari BPS Sulawesi Selatan digunakan dalam penelitian ini, mencakup dari 2010 hingga 2023.

Abstract

Study the quantitative discipline of work and compensation to productivity Among Employees at PT. Tani Tangkas Makmur, Palopo City . Using a saturated sampling technique, data were collected through a questionnaire from 55 respondents and analyzed with SPSS version 25. The results show that, to some extent, good discipline, Work, and compensation are influential and have a significant positive effect on productivity. Simultaneously, they also have a significant positive influence. Implications study. This upholds the importance of improving discipline. Work through the implementation of proper policies and procedures, as well as giving adequate compensation in accordance with employee performance.
