Abstract

This research presents a comprehensive examination of the impact of the creative industry on economic growth in the developing nations of Malaysia and Indonesia. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analyses and qualitative insights, the study explores the intricate relationships between creative industry performance, government policies, and cultural dynamics. Quantitative results reveal a statistically significant positive correlation between the creative industry and economic growth in both countries, with variations observed in export earnings and innovation. Government policies were found to significantly influence the creative sector's contribution to GDP. Qualitative findings underscore the pivotal role of cultural dynamics in shaping creative outputs and highlight challenges and opportunities within the industry. The synthesis of these results offers valuable insights for policymakers, economists, and stakeholders seeking to harness the economic potential of the creative industry for sustainable development in diverse socio-cultural contexts.

Abstract

Students must have qualified soft skills according to their scientific fields and the needs of stakeholders so that they have high competitiveness. Students of the Islamic Community Development Study Program are required to have one type of soft skills, namely communication. The main thing is public speaking and negotiation skills. These abilities must be continuously honed and improved. This study aims to determine the improvement of student soft skills through a series of activities in the form of seminars, training, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The object of the study was 30 seventh-semester students of the Islamic Community Development Study Program of IAIN Kudus. A series of activities in the form of seminars, training, and FGDs through in blended learning for five consecutive days with a total of 40 JPL along with evaluations on each material. This study used a quantitative approach with t-tests (pretest and posttest) using SPSS version 26. Based on the results of the t-test, the mean of pretest (67.57) and posttest (73.30) was obtained and a significancy of <0.05. These results show that seminars, training, and FGDs through blended learning have a significant effect on improving student soft skills.

Abstract

Film merupakan salah satu wujud sebuah sastra yang paling dekat dengan masyarakat, karena kemudahan dalam penyampaian gagasan dan pesan yang digambarkan lewat tokoh dan alur cerita serta memberikan kesempatan dalam proses berdakwah, seperti film religi. Objek penelitian ini adalah film religi berjudul “Merindu cahaya De Amstel”. Film ini menggambarkan kehidupan tokoh muslim di negara Belanda dan tokoh mualaf. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis kritik sastra film religi “Merindu Cahaya De Amstel” yang memuat gambaran kehidupan mualaf dengan menggunakan pendekatan religius sastra. Pendekatan penelitian adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka (library research). Teknik pengumpulan data digunakan teknik simak catat dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian ini adalah penggalan scene yang menunjukkan religiusitas tokoh dalam film “Merindu Cahaya de Amstel.” Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film ini mengandung aspek akidah (pegangan hidup), syariah (jalan hidup), dan akhlak (perilaku).

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our activities in all sectors, especially education. The policy of physical distancing forced the Government to implement an online learning system from home (daring), one of the learning methods that utilizes technology. There was a slight increase in student capacity after participating in a collaborative online guest lecture on disaster management, a subject of the Study Program of Islamic Community Development, IAIN Kudus, by inviting practitioners from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to one meeting. In line with the curriculum of independent study on an independent campus, Guest lectures can realize the optimum result in increasing student capacity in disaster risk reduction through technology, which “Education and Training” can learn through online thematic collaboration. This research aims to determine students' increasing capacity in disaster risk reduction through it. It targeted 30 students of the study program of Islamic community development, IAIN Kudus, who have or are studying disaster management subject. For three days (6JPL), the lecture used application technology like Zoom and Quizizz application. This research used a quantitative approach with a T-test (comparing pretest and posttest scores on knowledge) using SPSS v26. The study results have a higher mean value for the posttest (73.20) than the pretest (34.06). The mean paired samples test result was -39.14, with a significant value of p <0.01. It shows an essential difference before and after online education and training in collaboration. On the other hand, it means to increase students' capacity for disaster risk reduction.

Abstract

Organizational citizenship behavior bukanlah hal baru dalam dunia kerja khususnya beberapa bidang khusus yang juga menerapkan perilaku organisasi. Pada dasarnya, organizational citizenship behavior sangat membantu dalam mengatur, mengontrol, dan menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan sekaligus meningkatkan komunikasi antar peranan dalam kelompok kerja. Selain itu, perusahaan saat ini perlu meningkatkan kemampuan organisasi untuk beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan yang semakin kompleks. Tujuan utama penelitian yakni menganalisis menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi organizational citizenship behavior karyawan pasca pandemi Covid-19. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 210 responden yang ditentukan dengan pendekatan convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner yang kemudian dibagikan secara online. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SPSS dengan menampilkan hasil pengolahan data melalui uji instrumen penelitian dengan uji validitas dan reabilitas, analisis regresi berganda, koefisien determinasi dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menyimpulkan quality of work life, organizational culture dan job satisfaction berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior. Implikasi penelitian menginformasikan perilaku menolong karyawan dapat meningkatkan semangat dan keeratan serta perasaan saling memiliki diantara anggota kelompok sehingga akan meningkatkan kinerja organisasi dan membantu organisasi menarik dan mempertahankan karyawan yang baik.The globalization era that every nation faces have made the world open and connected. This requires the awareness and readiness of human resources that openness becomes something real. On the other hand, companies need to encourage better employee engagement to increase HR awareness within the organization's scope. The main objective of the research is to analyze the effect of organizational trust and organizational justice on the employee engagement of millennial workers. The sample in this study amounted to 150 respondents, who were determined by the convenience sampling approach. Data collection uses a questionnaire instrument which is then distributed online. Data analysis uses the SPSS application by displaying data processing results through research instrument tests with validity and reliability tests, multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. Based on the data analysis results, organizational trust and justice positively and significantly affect employee engagement. The research information implies that increasing engagement can be carried out with encouragement from company leaders through mutual trust, mutual understanding, mutual respect, and learning to live in differences among fellow employees in their workplaces.

Abstract

Kudus Regency - one of the regencies in Central Java Province, is a disaster-prone area and is located at the center of the economy. With this potential, the Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center (MDMC) Kudus Regency has an important role starting from pre-disaster, during a disaster, and post-disaster. To build disaster resilience, community participation is needed, because the community is the front guard when a disaster occurs. This article aims to analyze how MDMC builds a disaster resilient community in Kudus Regency. This research is qualitative-descriptive research. Primary data in this research was obtained through in-depth interviews with the Chair of the Kudus Regency MDMC and the Coordinator of the Disaster Resilience Congregation. Meanwhile secondary data was obtained through books, journals and internet sources related to the topic. The results of this research are: 1) MDMC Kudus forms disaster resilient volunteers as a driving force for community disaster resilience; 2) MDMC Kudus maximizes social capital and human capital in forming a disaster resilient society.
