Abstract

Modern society has unknowingly been dominated by modern technology which makes humans passive and uncritical of social conditions, as well as receptive. That people no longer live with technology, but is controlled by technology, this rationality can be seen when cellphones do not have a connection to the internet, it can be said that they will be out of date because they cannot update the latest information. This becomes an interesting discussion because it is almost felt by students, especially students of IAIN Kediri. This research uses a critical study of Herbert Marcuse's technological rationality which leads to one-dimensional humans or commonly referred to as One Dimensional Man. Therefore, this study seeks to explain the phenomena that occur among students related to meeting the needs of data packages that can affect various aspects of their daily lives. The results of this study are the need for a data package for the students of IAIN Kediri as a primary need. This is because with the data package students are able to find out the latest information on matters related to lectures, on the other hand, with the student data package, smartphones are also dominated by various features in it.

So as to be able to shift everything that is considered outdated by preferring and prioritizing things that are considered more contemporary. For example in areas that are currently competing to build a tourism business that presents a modern element with all the current facilities that can be enjoyed by tourists. Tourism development is a top priority as an effort to progress and increase the potential of the community and region. The presence of modern tourist destinations that carry Papringan traditional markets by incorporating Javanese culture as an effort to preserve and introduce to visitors, became the main destination of activists in Jambu Village. All forms of actions taken by the community according to Parson have goals to be achieved. So that by utilizing and developing all the potential that is owned, the village has now become a tourist destination that is visited by many tourists both from within and outside the city. The existence of traditional markets also provides opportunities for women who incidentally are housewives to be more independent in meeting family needs. In the current era of modernization, it is considered to be easy to be able to promote all the uniqueness and privileges that are owned by the tourist village. Abstract

This research is a historical reflection of the condition of the Indonesian people who were battered by the Covid-19 pandemic, not only in the economic, political, social, and even psychological sensations of the people in doing religious activities. The interests overlap with the dedication on behalf of the community, from the self-quarantine system, large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), and, no doubt, the public who are less aware of the existence of Covid-19, resulting in the increased statistical number of Covid-19 confirmed cases. It hasbeen a year that the Indonesian people have been plagued by this never ending problem, and like a spotlight, Covid-19 always looms over people’s lives. The people’s attitudes vary, starting from the assumption that Covid-19 is God's army to finish off arrogant humans, to Covid-19 as a scientific reality proven through empirical research. The perspective dualism of the Indonesian people is interesting to discuss in the form of societal religiosity sensations, both of which have a deep distinction in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even if the religious community really understands the religion (Islam) in a deep way, of course, it is very clear how to respond to Covid-19 in the style of Prophet Muhammad SAW and the history of the companions of the Prophet.

Abstract

As part of the ecological system, humans have a dominant role in determining the good andbad of the environment. The stability and comfort of the environment depend on the positivebehavior around the elements of the ecosystem in it, including humans. The emergence of variousenvironmental problems is also inseparable from human indiscipline in protecting and preservingthem. An environment that is maintained properly, will respond positively by providing greatbenefits to humans. Otherwise, an environment that is treated badly will repay with damage anddisaster. The leadership of the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Da’wah at IAIN Kediri was fully aware ofthis, especially the Hadith Science Study Program. This awareness forms a religious constructionbased on an understanding of religious texts, particularly Hadith. Through qualitative research, this reality will be described descriptively and analytically. The results illustrate that the epitomeconstruction of environmental conservation activities is manifested in participation in the GreenCampus program. The sociological construction contestation was seen in the leadership of the HadithScience Study Program and the academic community for the absorption of religious teaching, thusgenerating practices in the form of involvement in tree and flower planting activities in the Facultyof Ushuluddin and Da’wah.

Abstract

Previously, the Sumenep community defined the Islamic cleric as a sacred figure, possessing religious knowledge, and being close to the lay community. This definition agrees that the figure of him is the right choice in solving problems related to the Ummah. However, in the Sumenep community itself, such views have shifted, the figure is informed in a form that may be 360 degrees in difference, namely the political Islamic cleric. The dualism inherent is in the question, when he becomes the figure of a religious one and when he becomes a politician. The purpose of this research is to know this position in the Sumenep area, so as to avoid being biased towards the figure of the Islamic cleric. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a critical approach, so that the theory and the results of the data are actually analyzed theoretically. The results of this study indicate that the position of the Islamic cleric in Sumenep experiences dualism. This happens because of the impact of globalization which changes the position from a religious figure into a politician one. So, it is not surprising if the position begins absurd and difficult to distinguish. Therefore, it effects on understanding pattern of the Sumenep community towards the Islamic cleric who has doubled positions, a religous one and a politician.

Abstract

Globalization not only affected the development of science and technology but also the socio-religious life of society. In this study, religious symbols are reproduced into a phenomenon in the form of a trend or Islamic lifestyle applied by Hijabers Kediri. This study was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection carried out in 3 ways: observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the chairman and members who play an active role in the Hijabers Kediri community. Sources of data were in the form of primary and secondary data sources. This study was analyzed using the Theory of Consumption Society by Jean Baudrillard. So the results obtained are that the consumption community has been represented concretely by Hijabers Kediri through the Islamic Lifestyle that they applied, where hijab is a consumptive cultural lighter for Muslim women. It was no longer a religious symbol used to cover aurat as outlined in Islamic law. However, it is a fashionable need to use the hijab. The use of famous brands is carried out not based on need but an urge to do "updating" so that they are not alienated in their social groups.
