Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan kualitas produk gelas kayu CV Tunas Karya di Kecamatan Patuk Kabupaten Gunung Kidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta menggunakan metode Taguchi multi respon. Variabel respon yang dipertimbangkan adalah keteguhan lengkung, ketebalan, dan dimensi produk gelas kayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi parameter proses yang optimal untuk menghasilkan gelas kayu dengan kualitas terbaik adalah: ukuran kayu 3 cm x 3 cm, suhu pengeringan 80°C, dan kecepatan potong 15 m/menit. Pengaturan level optimal tersebut mampu meningkatkan keteguhan lengkung sebesar 15,8%, mengurangi variasi ketebalan sebesar 12,6%, dan memperkecil deviasi dimensi produk sebesar 9,2% dibandingkan dengan kondisi awal produksi. Analisis varians menunjukkan bahwa faktor ukuran kayu memberikan kontribusi terbesar terhadap variabilitas respon, diikuti oleh suhu pengeringan dan kecepatan potong. Optimasi multi respon dengan pendekatan grey relational analysis menghasilkan kombinasi parameter proses yang dapat meminimalkan variabilitas dan menghasilkan gelas kayu dengan kualitas optimal. Metode Taguchi multi respon terbukti efektif dalam mengoptimalkan kualitas produk gelas kayu CV Tunas Karya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diterapkan oleh industri serupa untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk dengan biaya yang efisien.

Abstract

Abekani Leather is a company engaged in the manufacture of leather accessories made from cowhide. In running its business, abekani leather uses the Make To Stock (MTS) and Make To Order (MTO) systems to meet market needs. In running its business, Abekani Leather is constrained by the number of defective products reaching an average of 5% for the period June-December 2021. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the product defect is still within the limits of the control, the factors that can affect, and suggestions for major improvements..This study uses the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method which aims to statistically control the quality, and the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (F-AHP) to determine the main improvement suggestions. After doing the research, the results obtained are, abekani leather accessories products are still under statistical control, which is indicated by the absence of out of control data on the U map with center line 0.0543. The cause of product defects is influenced by several factors, including Human Factors, Machine Factors, Method Factors and Material Factor. The main improvement suggestion is to hold regular meetings every month to discuss improving the quality of leather accessories products with a score of 0.7459.

Abstract

In the production process of EQ Spacing products at PT Sinar Semesta, it was discovered that there were eight types of defects which resulted in product defects exceeding company standards. The aim of this research is to carry out a series of analyzes and actions focused on controlling product quality and identifying various aspects that require improvement during the production process. The types of defects with the highest percentage include uneven surfaces at 35.3%, porous at 24.9%, and chipped at 19.3%. Using the Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) approach with a weight of 4.05, shifts were found in periods 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of the MEWMA graph, with a DPMO value of 24268 and a sigma of 3.5. This analysis demonstrates that in order to prevent excessive defects, production process performance must be improved. PT Sinar Semesta must suggest modifications based on the 5W+1H approach in order to lower the quantity of flaws in bag products. The goal of this quality improvement is to get closer to zero defects and a very low failure rate. It is intended that by doing this, the final product will be superior and satisfy the company's quality requirements.

Abstract

In customer distribution at PT Java Agro Sari, there are delays in delivery to customers. It even exceeds the accepted allowance time of 15 to 20 minutes. The purpose of this study is to determine the shortest distribution route so as to reduce delivery delays. In the delivery of PT Java Agro Sari's distribution to 13 customers A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-M is divided into 2 routes, namely route 1 with customer A-B-C-D-E-F while route 2 with customer G-H-I-J-K-L-M which will determine the shortest distribution route. In determining the shortest distribution route using the Djikstra Algorithm and Saving Matrix methods, route 1 of the closest method of Djikstra Algorithm and Nearest Neighbor is obtained with the route sequence PT-A-C-E-F-D-B-PT with a total distance of 25.8 km. For route 2, the closest method is Algortima Djikstra with the route sequence PT-G-I-J-K-L-M-H-PT with a total distance of 46.1 km. From the research results, the methods that are more dominant in determining the shortest route are Djikstra Algorithm and Nearest Neighbor, PT Java Agro Sari should suggest modifications based on these methods to obtain the shortest distribution route so that it will save transportation costs which will affect profits for the company and make the price of its products more affordable because of the lower transportation costs.

Abstract

CV Renjana Offset is a printing company that produces yearbooks for export. In the production process, various types of rejects were found in the pack products, such as scratches, glue, tears, and problematic pop-ups, as well as in book products, such as reversed arrangement, broken threads, and shadows. This study uses the Cumulative Sum Control (CUSUM) method to analyze product quality and the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to determine improvement priorities. The results showed an average reject of 3.96% with a total of 35.66% from November 2023 to July 2024, although there was an increase to 4.74% in July 2024. The cumulative CUSUM of 0.143 units with a monthly average of 0.016 units indicates consistent quality, but improvements are needed in operators and materials. The proposed improvements aim to reduce rejects and improve quality through structured and sustainable improvement actions.

Abstract

Article history : The rapid growth of the tourism industry, especially in Indonesia, has positively impacted various other sectors. This growth has indirectly spurred the development of supporting businesses, predominantly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), such as tourist transportation rentals. Rising tourist demands for transportation necessitate that entrepreneurs in this industry adapt quickly, including investing in the latest vehicle units. However, investing in new vehicles is challenging, especially for small-scale rental owners. They must carefully calculate their investment, considering various potential risks. Therefore, this study recommends alternatives for new vehicle investments in tourist transportation rentals based on BWM and SAW. A case study on small-scale rental businesses in Yogyakarta has been selected. The results indicate that five criteria must be considered for new vehicle investments in tourist rentals: vehicle type (C1), fuel consumption (C2), engine specifications (C3), rental price (C4), product lifetime (C5), and price (C6). The optimal weights of these criteria are determined using BWM to rank five investment alternatives: KIZ, HIC, AVZ, BRI, and SGR. The findings suggest KIZ as the potential top investment priority, followed by AVZ, BRI, SGR, and HIC.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah upaya melakukan peningkatan kinerja.Target khusus penelitian ini adalah menghilangkan waste yang terjadi dalam proses sekaligus meningkatkan kapabilitas pada proses. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Lean Six Sigma.Lean Six Sigma merupakan kombinasi antara Lean dan Six Sigma dapat didefinisikan sebagai filosofi bisnis, pendekatan sistemik dan sistematik untuk mengidentifikasi dan menghilangkan pemborosan atau aktifitas-aktifitas yang tidak bernilai tambah (non value added activities) melalui peningkatan terus menerus untuk mencapai tingkat kinerja enam sigma,dengan cara mengalirkan produk (material,work in process,output) dari pelanggan internal dan eksternal untuk mengejar keunggulan dan kesempurnaan berupa hanya memproduksi 3,4 cacat untuk setiap satu juta kesempatan atau operasi (3,4 DPMO). (Gasperz.2006, hal 1-2).Integrasi antara Lean dan Six Sigma akan meningkatkan kinerja melalui peningkatan kecepatan dan akurasi (zero defect).Pendekatan Lean akan memperlihatkan non value added (NVA) dan value added (VA) serta membuat value added mengalir secara lancar sepanjang value stream process,sedangkan Six Sigma akan mereduksi variasi dari value added itu. (Gasperz.2006, hal 9).Perumusan masalah yang akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi non value added activities dan waste.Tahapan dalam melakukan penelitian ini yaitu menghitung Data Value Add dan Non Value Add,menghitung Process Cycle Time (PCE),menghitung Sigma Level,mengidentifikasi dan menghitung waste serta mengetahui penyebab terjadinya waste processes menggunakan Fish Bone Diagram,melakukan analisis dengan metode FMEA. Perbaikan total lead time dari 710 menit,setelah dilakukan perbaikan menjadi 681 menit.Diperoleh peningkatan sebesar 29 menit.Nilai efisiensi sebelum perbaikan adalah 60,56% kemudian setelah dilakukan perbaikan naik menjadi 58,88%.
