Abstract

The idea of learning apps for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) has recently made major strides. However, many people are unsure of what learning applications for ESD are, why they are necessary, and how to utilize them. The literature review on ESD-based science learning applications is so wide that many researchers need more time and a longer process to locate the relevant data sources. This study aims to give a summary or literature review of the significance of ESD-based learning apps for students in schools. The researcher's summary article highlights the fundamental difficulties that must be addressed regarding ESD, the importance of ESD and its application in education, notably in science education, as well as ways for efficiently applying ESD learning applications. ESD-based learning applications constitute a novel technique in the educational field. ESD consists of three major areas: economic, social, and environmental. Integrating ESD into science education is critical to accomplishing the SDGs. Several significant factors in the implementation of ESD learning applications in science in Indonesia include the government (PATK IPA), professional bodies such as the Indonesian Science Educators Association, Science Subject Conferences, and community involvement. The method in this study is qualitative research, specifically content analysis. This study includes a literature review of several periodicals, publications, and textbooks.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of junior high school students' science anxiety, determine the effect of the three indicators of science anxiety on the level of science anxiety, and explore the differences between students' science anxiety based on class and gender. The study was conducted descriptively quantitatively through a survey of 205 junior high school students in Bandung Raya, using the Science Anxiety Questionnaire instrument which was developed multidimensionally by measuring students' learning anxiety, test anxiety, and class anxiety. Parametric statistical tests stated that the three indicators predicted students' science anxiety, students' test anxiety was higher than other anxieties, there was no significant difference in science anxiety between females and males, and there was a significant difference in science anxiety between students in grades VII, VIII, and IX.

Abstract

Plant Physiology is a compulsory course in the biology and biology education study program. The material has a high conceptual complexity, presenting physiological processes, including biochemistry, cellular biology, molecular, genetics, and environmental interactions which constitute the complexity of science. Interdisciplinary, requiring students to integrate knowledge from various disciplines. Interviews revealed that the material is complex, encompassing the study of cells, anatomy, biochemistry, and their relationship to the environment. The available teaching materials are primarily PowerPoint presentations. Lecturers lack teaching materials that adequately explain the mechanisms that occur within the plant body. One effective approach is to utilize interactive digital textbooks equipped with Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). This research aims to develop an interactive digital with AR and VR for the Plant Physiology. This research is a developmental study using the 4D model. This study was limited to the development stage, which aimed to determine the validity of the digital book. The instrument used was a digital book validity analysis questionnaire. Data analysis used the percentage formula. The results of the study show that the interactive digital book equipped with AR and VR in the plant physiology course is valid with a validation value of 91.82%.
