Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the improvement in mathematical communication skills of students who get the Learning Cycle 7E model assisted by quizizz is higher than students who get conventional learning models. The method used in this research is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. This study involved two classes as experimental and control classes. Students in the experimental class received learning with the Learning Cycle 7E model assisted by quizizz while the control class received learning with a conventional learning model. This study involved 30 students of class VIII A and 30 students of class VIII C at Pasundan 6 Bandung Junior High School. The instruments used in this study were 5 questions of mathematical communication ability test descriptions. Data analysis technique with two-sample comparison test (t-test). The collected data were processed using IBM SPSS 23.0 software for windows. The results showed that the improvement in mathematical communication skills of students who obtained the Learning Cycle 7E learning model assisted by quizizz was higher than students who obtained the conventional learning model.

Abstract

Students' mathematical connection skills are still relatively low and still need improvement. To optimize mathematical connections in students, it is necessary to find a solution. One of the alternatives that can be taken by applying the Discovery Learning model. This study aims to determine the increase in mathematical connection skills of students who get the Discovery Learning model assisted by Quizizz higher than students who get conventional learning models, and determine the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Quizizz on mathematical connection skills. The method used in this research is a pseudo-experimental method (quasi) with a non-equivalent control group design research design, the research sample consists of two classes, class VIII H as an experimental class that gets learning with the Discovery Learning model assisted by Quizizz and class VIII G as a control class that gets a conventional learning model. The instrument used in this study is a description of the mathematical connection ability test. The results showed that the increase in mathematical connection skills of students who obtained the Discovery Learning learning model assisted by Quizizz was higher than students who obtained the conventional learning model, and the Discovery Learning model learning assisted by Quizizz was effective on mathematical connection skills. Thus, the Discovery Learning model assisted by Quizizz helps improve and see the effectiveness of students' mathematical connection skills.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability is one of the higher orders thinking skills that is highly needed in 21st-century learning. One learning model that can develop and enhance students' necessary thinking skills, especially in learning mathematics, is the Discovery Learning model. Using video media in learning can motivate and assist students in learning mathematics. This study aimed to determine the increase in students' mathematical critical thinking skills through the Discovery Learning model helped by teaching videos. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The samples in this study were students at class VII Bandung National Middle School. The sample was selected by purposive sampling technique. This research shows that students who get the Discovery Learning model assisted by video-assisted learning have a higher mathematical critical thinking ability than those who get conventional models.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the increase in the mathematical problem solving ability of students who received the discovery learning learning model with a realistic learning approach was higher than students who received conventional learning models. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII MIPA SMPN 1 Gununghalu. The research sample used 2 classes, namely class VIII-A as the experimental class and class VIII-C as the control class. The method in this study was a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group design. The instrument used in this research is a test description of mathematical problem solving abilities. The results showed that the increase in mathematical problem- solving skills of students who received the discovery learning model with a realistic learning approach was higher than students who received conventional learning models

Abstract

Mathematics demands a variety of abilities, including understanding mathematical concepts. However, reality shows that students have difficulty understanding mathematical concepts. This research aims to determine the increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts with the Discovery Learning model assisted by Powtoon compared to ordinary learning models and determine the level of effectiveness. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and nonequivalent control group design was used in the research, with data collected through a written test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The research subjects were class XI students at SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung. The results of research data analysis show that students who studied with the Discovery Learning model assisted by Powtoon experienced a higher increase in understanding of mathematical concepts than students who studied with the regular learning model. The effectiveness of the increase is relatively large with this learning model. In conclusion, the Discovery Learning model assisted by Powtoon is very effective in improving the ability to understand mathematical concepts. Therefore, the Discovery Learning model assisted by Powtoon can be used as an alternative to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

ABSTRACTMathematics lessons are subjects that relate to many concepts and the ability to understand mathematical concepts is the key in learning mathematics so that the ability to understand mathematical concepts is very important for students. However, students' ability to understand mathematical concepts is still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the flipped classroom learning model assisted by learning videos on the ability to understand mathematical concepts better than the flipped classroom learning model without the help of learning videos. This research method is quasi-experimental. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group. The subjects in this study were selected randomly by using a purposive sampling technique where class VIII-A as the control class used the flipped classroom learning model without the help of learning videos and class VIII-C as the experimental class by getting the treatment of the flipped classroom learning model assisted by video learning with The instrument used to test the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of description questions. Data analysis was performed using a t-test or independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 17.0 for Windows. The results showed that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students with the flipped classroom learning model assisted by learning videos was better than the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students using the flipped classroom learning model without the help of learning videos or it could be concluded that there was an effect of the flipeed classroom learning model assisted by learning videos. Keywords: Ability to understand mathematical concepts, and flipeed classroom                            learning model assisted by learning videos.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dipadukan dengan platform digital Wizer.me terhadap peningkatan resiliensi matematis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design, melibatkan dua kelompok di mana siswa kelompok eksperimen menggunakan PBL berbantuan Wizer.me dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan Discovery Learning. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 27 Bandung, dengan jumlah total 60 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen utama adalah angket resiliensi matematis yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada resiliensi matematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan PBL berbantuan Wizer.me dibandingkan dengan Discovery Learning. Rata-rata resiliensi matematis siswa pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 74,87, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol dengan rata-rata 67,25. Uji Mann-Whitney U menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,003 (< 0,05), yang mengindikasikan bahwa model PBL berbantuan Wizer.me memberikan dampak yang lebih baik terhadap resiliensi matematis siswa. Integrasi Wizer.me memungkinkan siswa untuk belajar secara interaktif, meningkatkan motivasi dan kemandirian, serta memperkuat sikap positif dalam menghadapi tantangan matematika. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of the Subject Teachers Consultation (STC/MGMP) will be if the teachers are skilled, accustomed and able to develop various activities that are able to support teacher competencies. One of the activities carried out was to participate in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) program development activities with LPTKs such as Pasundan University. The STC included in the Community Partnership Program (CPP/PKM) is the Bandung and City Mathematics STC. Problems with both partners are: (1) Some teachers do not know SPSS and its benefits in research, (2) Understanding of some teachers in collecting data according to the formulation of research problems is still lacking, (3) Some teachers do not know e-learning applications that use video conference. This problem has an impact on the inhibition of research and an increase in the rank of teachers. Approach methods used to overcome problems with training, mentoring, and mentoring. The two partners' solution-resolution procedures will be carried out by the team as follows: (1) Training, mentoring and mentoring in using SPSS features, (2) Training in using e-learning applications (3) Training, mentoring, and mentoring in collect data according to the formulation of research problems. CPP was attended by 14 Mathematics Teachers from the City of Bandung, and 17 Mathematics Teachers from Bandung Regency who were each from the Bandung City and Regency STC. The first meeting resulted in the following conclusions: (1) The quality of CPP in formulating problems, testing instruments, using SPSS features, and video conferencing conducted was very good, (2) The ability of teachers to understand, master, and train in making either test or non-test research instruments are in a pretty good category, (3) the teacher's ability to input data according to data or the scale of the data is in a good category, (4) The teacher's ability to use video conferencing to get guidance and assistance in doing the work is in good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan metode campuran (Mixed Method) tipe Embedded Desain dengan jenis Embedded experimental model dengan desain penelitian berbentuk pretes-postes control grup design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pasundan Bandung. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dari populasinya secara purposif (purposive sampling) 2 kelas yang mengontrak mata kuliah matematika sekolah III. Kelas A berjumlah 50 orang yaitu 24 orang kelompok unggul dan 26 orang kelompok asor, diberikan perlakuan dengan model PBL berbantuan e-learning dan kelas B berjumlah 50 orang, 27 orang kelompok unggul dan 23 orang kelompok asor, dengan pembelajaran ekspositori. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, angket kemandirian belajar dengan skala likert, lembar observasi, dan wawancara. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa unggul dan asor yang memperoleh model PBL berbantuan e-learning lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa unggul dan asor yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori, (2) Kemandirian belajar mahasiswa unggul dan asor yang memperoleh model PBL berbantuan e-learning lebih baik daripada kemandirian belajar mahasiswa unggul dan asor yang memperoleh pembelajaran ekspositori, (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis terhadap kemandirian belajar dari kategori KAM mahasiswa, (4) Aktivitas dosen dalam menggunakan model PBL berbantuan e-learning mulai terbiasa dari pertemuan ketiga. Aktivitas mahasiswa dalam mengikuti model PBL berbantuan e-learning rata-ratanya naik dari kriteria kurang baik sampai menjadi baik, dan mahasiswa menjelaskan bahwa model PBL berbantuan e-learning lebih menarik dan lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran ekspositori.

Abstract

Kemampuan penalaran matematis dan self-efficacy merupakan dua komponen penting yang sangat mempengaruhi proses dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMK melalui penerapan model Problem-based Learning berbantuan Kahoot. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalagh quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas XI SMK Pasundan 2 Bandung, yaitu kelas Eksperimen yang menggunakan model Problem-based Learning berbantuan Kahoot dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes uraian kemampuan penalaran matematis. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t, uji Mann-Whitney, dan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang menggunakan model Problem-based Learning berbantuan Kahoot memiliki peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model Problem-based Learning berbantuan Kahoot efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis.
