Abstract

Abstract

Blended learning is a learning method that combines two or more learning method. The objective of this research is to know the improvement of mathematical reasoning ability of student of mathematics prospective teacher, through Blended Learning with Probing-prompting learning strategy. The research method used is quantitative research, and divides participants into two groups. The first group is the experimental class group, it is the group of prospective teachers who get Blended Learning with Probing-Prompting Strategy and the second group is the control group; which is prospective teachers who get conventional learning. The study was conducted on 6th semester prospective teacher students from one university in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Based on this research, it is known that: experimental class group; which is the group of prospective teachers who get Blended Learning has improved the ability of mathematical reasoning is better than the control class group. It can be seen from the results of the normalized gain calculation of the experimental class reaches an average of 0.50 while the normalized gain of the control class reaches an average of 0.34. Although both are still in medium category, but based on t-test results between two parties, found that the increase has significant differences.

Abstract

Using less precise learning models has an impact on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Therefore, one of the right models in learning is Creative Problem Solving. Such models can increase the activeness andivity of students in learning. The purpose of this study is to find out how the students' mathematical problem-solving skills through the Creative Problem Solving model. The method used is qualitative research with a type of literature study research. In the literature study using written sources, namely journals, thesis and other relevant written documents. Research is motivated by students' low mathematical problem-solving abilities. The data sources used in this study are primary data and secondary data on mathematical problem solving capabilities, and the Creative Problem Solving model. The results of this study are: students' mathematical problem solving skills using the Creative Problem Solving model have improved well.

Abstract

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to study the achievement of their mathematical self-esteem, as a result of Project-based Learning (PBL) and Conventional Learning (CL). This research is conducted mathematical self-esteem to be possessed by students, but in reality shows their self-esteem are still low. This research used quasi experimental methods. The population of this study is students of State Junior High Schools in Bandung City, West Java Province. The sample comprises the students of grade VIII. One class as an experimental group that received PBL learning and another class as a control group that received CL learning. The instruments used in this study are Prior Mathematical Knowledge (PMK) worksheet and mathematical self-esteem scale. The results indicate that: (1) the achievement of mathematical self-esteem of  the students who received PBL learning is better than the students who received CL learning; (2) there is no interaction effect between learning model and PMK on the achievement of students' mathematical self-esteem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the improvement in mathematical communication skills of students who get the Learning Cycle 7E model assisted by quizizz is higher than students who get conventional learning models. The method used in this research is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. This study involved two classes as experimental and control classes. Students in the experimental class received learning with the Learning Cycle 7E model assisted by quizizz while the control class received learning with a conventional learning model. This study involved 30 students of class VIII A and 30 students of class VIII C at Pasundan 6 Bandung Junior High School. The instruments used in this study were 5 questions of mathematical communication ability test descriptions. Data analysis technique with two-sample comparison test (t-test). The collected data were processed using IBM SPSS 23.0 software for windows. The results showed that the improvement in mathematical communication skills of students who obtained the Learning Cycle 7E learning model assisted by quizizz was higher than students who obtained the conventional learning model.
