Abstract

The arrangement of books in a library is one of the activities that must be carried out by a librarian. This is intended to ease library visitors looking for books they need. In this study, researchers provide a new method in organizing those books by applying vertex coloring in graph. This study aims to describe the application of vertex coloring in graph for arranging the books in MTs Al-Hikmah Janti’s library and for identifying the order of books that have been arranged using vertex coloring in graph. This study is a descriptive qualitative study involving documentation method and the object is book arrangement in the library of MTs Al-Hikmah Janti. The main instrument in this study is the researcher himself. Meanwhile, the supporting instruments in this study are the documentation guidelines. The data analysis that researchers employ is making color symbols for each book title, making graphs whose points have been colored according to the agreed color symbols, arranging the books based on the graph that has previously been designed. The way to apply vertex coloring in graph to arrange the books in the library of MTs Al-Hikmah is by making a color symbol to each book title, making a graph starting from rack 1 to rack 4 so that the different color can be assigned to the interconnected points (according to the color symbol which have been made from each lesson). The number of points in the graph is associated to the number of books on each shelf.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations of the daily test scores of class XII Science 1 MAN 1 Mojokerto City on the three dimensional material as much as 5 students the grades have met the KKM (Minimum completeness criteria) while the other 25 students have not met the KKM, with an average grade of 58 and learning outcomes classical reached 16.67%. The low student learning outcomes because students do not understand how to visualize the shape of the three dimensions and the understanding of the concept of distance in the third dimension that is lacking. Monotonous student learning activities make students tend to talk alone when the teacher explains the material. The application of Cabri 3D V2 software will help students visualize three-dimensional shapes and understand the material easily. This study aims to describe the increase in student activity and learning outcomes in participating in learning using Cabri 3D V2 software. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using two cycles. One cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods used are observation and test methods. Instrument validation is carried out by expert validates. The research subjects were students of class XII Science 1 MAN 1 Mojokerto, which consisted of 30 students. Based on the results of research in cycles I and II seen an increase in student activity in cycle I by 63% with criteria C (Enough) in cycle II to 85% with criteria B (Good). Mastery learning outcomes of students in cycle I was 47% with an average of 71.97 and cycle II was 89% with an average of 89.96. In cycle II has reached the criteria of success, namely student activity and learning outcomes have reached = 76% classically then by applying Cabri 3D V2 software can increase student activity and learning outcomes

Abstract

Learning carried out by a teacher can be facilitated by the existence of learning media. Learning media serves as a learning aid for students and can be used as a presentation of information on the subject matter, practice questions, or both. Current learning media can be in the form of applications that can be accessed via an Android smartphone. The purpose of this study was to develop logarithmic mathematics learning media using framework7. Framework7 is specifically intended for building hybrid-based mobile applications. The research method used in this research is research and development or Research and Development (R&D). The research design refers to Thiagarajan's research model which has 4 steps (4D), namely define, design, development, and dissemination. This study used data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets from media experts and material experts as well as a questionnaire regarding the logarithmic material learning media trials. According to the results of the development of learning media, it has five components, namely the home page, logarithmic menu list, logarithmic material interface, AP-LOG interface, quiz interface. There are three stages of learning media trials in this study, namely individual trials, small group trials, and large group trials. The results of the testings of instructional media for teachers and students get the results of 10 indicators. so that the learning media are classified under the criteria "suitable for use" and learning media can be used.
