Abstract

The spread of covid-19 poses a threat to the transmission of diseases related to the lungs, including TB. TB is one of the main problems that is still easily found in various areas, including Bima Regency, NTB. To find out the dynamics of the distribution and the strategy to solve it, it is necessary to conduct research from various aspects, including the mathematical aspect. One of the important indicators in mathematical epidemiology is the basic reproduction ratio. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the estimated value of the basic reproduction number, and the relationship between the rate of cure of the disease and the basic reproduction value using a mathematical model for the dynamics of the spread of TB tuberculosis in Bima Regency. The method used in this study is the early-take off-rate method, which is estimating the initial growth of the infected population. Bima Regency is included in the TB disease emergency category because from January 2020 to May 2022, 1,245 new cases of infected people were found, and the occurrence of the covid-19 pandemic in the last two years has contributed to a decrease in TB disease cases in Bima Regency. Based on the results of research data analysis, the spread of TB disease in Bima Regency is included in the endemic category with the indicator value of being in the range between 2 and 3. The spread of TB disease in Bima Regency will disappear from the population if the value of the disease transmission rate is below 0.168 with the healing rate is greater (or the treatment period is shorter).

Abstract

An indicator for human quality of life is The Human Development Index (HDI). Factors to be included for measuring HDI are life expectancy, long-term school expectancy, average length of schooling. In this study, path analysis has been applied to determine the magnitude of the influence of these factors on the human development index. Results showed that the structural equation of the formed path diagram is: Y=0,341X1+0,289X2 +0,593X3+0,315. Each addition of life expectancy (X1) by 1 year will increase the human development index (Y) by 34.1% if other variables are constant, every addition of old school expectations (X2) by 1 year will increase the human development index (Y) by 28.9% if other variables are constant, each addition of the average length of schooling (X3) by 1 year will increase the human development index (Y) by 59.3% if other variables are constant. Life Expectancy (X_1), Old School Expectancy (X2) and Average Length of Schooling (X3) affect the Human Development Index (Y).

Abstract

One of the challenges for eradication of infectious diseases is corruption. This may result in an increase in the number of infectious disease cases. In this article, the effect of corruption on the transmission dynamics of malaria is analyzed using a mathematical model. A deterministic model in the form of a system of differential equations is formulated and analyzed. Sensitivity analysis and numerical simulations are also conducted to determine the effect of parameters on the basic reproductive number. The results show that corruption has negative effects on the efforts for reducing the number of malaria cases.

Abstract

Pada artikel ini dikaji karakteristik dan hubungan antara aksioma-aksioma separasi dalam ruang-ruang topologi  yaitu, ruang T1, ruang T2 (Ruang Hausdorff), ruang T3, ruang T4, dan ruang metrik. Aksioma separasi adalah suatu aksioma yang digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan ruang-ruang topologi berdasarkan distribusi himpunan terbukanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah dengan menggabungkan premis-premis dari aksioma separasi dalam ruang-ruang topologi sehingga dapat diperoleh teorema yang menghubungkan ruang-ruang topologi. Pada kajian ini, diperoleh hubungan antara ruang-ruang topologi tersebut yakni, setiap ruang T4 adalah ruang T3, setiap ruang T3 adalah ruang T2, setiap ruang T2 adalah ruang T1 tetapi tidak berlaku untuk pernyataan sebaliknya. Diperoleh juga bahwa, setiap ruang metrik memenuhi semua aksioma separasi dalam ruang T1, T2, T3, dan T4. Diskusi tentang aksioma separasi dalam ruang topologi masih terbuka dengan membandingkan aksioma separasi dari ruang-ruang topologi yang lebih kompleks seperti, ruang Tychonoff dan ruang Urysohn.

Abstract

Model stokastik berbasis Continous Time Markov Chain untuk dinamika penyebaran penyakit kaki gajah diformulasi dan probability   of extinction atau peluang kepunahan ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepunahan penyakit akan semakin besar apabila jumlah individu terinfeksi pada awal epidemik kecil.

Abstract

The concept of weak convergence is generated by “weakening” the existing convergence properties in normed spaces. The outcome of this article is to prove the basic properties of weak convergence, the space of weakly convergent sequence is a Banach space and the operators from the space of weakly convergent sequence to other sequence spaces (l1(X),lp(X), linfty(X),S(X) ) and vice versa are linear and bounded .

Abstract

Given a plane graph $G=(V,E)$. A zonal labeling of graph $G$ is defined as an assignment of the two nonzero elements of the ring $\mathbb{Z}_3$, which are $1$ and $2$, to the vertices of $G$ such that the sum of the labels of the vertices on the border of each region of the graph is $0\in\mathbb{Z}_3$. A graph $G$ that possess such a labeling is termed as zonal graph. This paper will characterize edge comb product graphs that are zonal. The results show that $P_m\trianglerighteq_eC_n$, $C_n\trianglerighteq_e C_r$, $S_p\trianglerighteq_e C_n$, and $S_p\trianglerighteq_e F_t$ are zonal in some cases, but not in others.

Abstract

Diberikan graf tidak berarah $G= (V,E)$ dimana $V$ adalah himpunan simpul dan $E$ adalah himpunan sisi dari graf $G$. Graf $G$ merupakan graf dengan pelabelan anti ajaib jarak jika terdapat fungsi bijektif $f : V (G) \to \{1, 2, . . . , |V (G)|\}$ sehingga untuk setiap simpul u dan v, diperoleh $W(u)\neq W(v)$. Bobot titik $u \in V(G)$ didefinisikan sebagai $W(u)=\sum_{x\in N(u)} f(x)$ . Pada tulisan ini dibahas beberapa graf dengan operasi comb titik yang merupakan graf anti ajaib jarak. Hasilnya ialah pada beberapa kasus, graf $P_m \unrhd_o C_n,\; C_m \unrhd_o C_n,\; S_m \unrhd_o C_n,\; W_m \unrhd_o C_n,\; $ dan secara umum graf $G \unrhd_o C_n$ dan graf $G \unrhd_o W_n$ merupakan graf anti ajaib jarak.

Abstract

Pada artikel ini, diteliti sifat – sifat himpunan – embedded, yaitu gabungan himpunan-himpunan – embedded. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa gabungan dua himpunan di ruang metrik merupakan himpunan – embedded. Lebih lanjut, terdapat ruang topologi dimana gabungan dua himpunan – embedded tidak selalu – embedded. Oleh karena itu, kami memberikan syarat tambahan agar gabungan dua himpunan – embedded merupakan himpunan – embedded.

Abstract

Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) is one of the assessment instruments of the Asesmen Nasional (AN). There are two main competencies that are measured in the AKM, namely reading literacy and mathematical literacy (numeracy). The AN results in 2021 show that 2 out of 3 students have not achieved the minimum numeracy competency. One of the factors causing this is students’ lack of motivation in learning numeracy. Many students find numeracy difficult to understand and very scary, uninteresting because there are many symbols and formulas. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase students' motivation in learning numeracy. The implementation of activities in the form of training and assistance to strengthening the concept of mathematical literacy. The participants in this activity were 57 students of SMP Negeri 8 Kota Kupang. The results of the activity evaluation showed that students' interest and understanding of mathematical literacy (numeration) had changed positively and students' motivation to learn numeracy had increased.
