Abstract

Science learning often uses scientific terms that are unfamiliar to students, causing misconceptions about students' understanding. This is also experienced by deaf students, due to the limitations of students communicating verbally. This development research aims to produce learning media in the form of microlearning videos, sign language translations, kolok words for elementary school science terminology, the topic of substance forms and their changes. Microlearning is selected according to the characteristics of inclusion students. This study uses the ADDIE Model. The subjects of this research trial consisted of 2 material and media experts. The results of this study were then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of the validity test obtained a very high category, from material experts a score of 0.88 and a validity test by learning media experts obtained a score of 0.95. The feasibility of the media was also assessed from the response of teachers who obtained a score of 99% with very good qualifications and the student response test obtained a score of 89% with very good qualifications. Based on these results, it was stated that the media developed was feasible and practical to be used in science learning in inclusion classes. The implication of this study is that video microlearning can be used as an additional learning resource in science learning in inclusive classes on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential abilities that students must possess to address various problems in life, including understanding scientific concepts. However, students' critical thinking skills in science subjects remain relatively low, coupled with the suboptimal use of digital learning media in the classroom. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a plant reproduction learning video based on the Panca Pramana concept in stimulating students' critical thinking skills. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects consisted of 31 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires and critical thinking tests, with instruments in the form of questionnaires and essay tests. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test at a 5% significance level. The results showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference before and after the implementation of the learning video. These findings suggest that the Panca Pramana-based learning video is effective in stimulating students' critical thinking skills. The implication of this study is that teachers can adopt this video as a reference for developing innovative and contextual digital learning media to enhance science learning quality in elementary schools.

Abstract

Students' low critical thinking skills and creativity are often caused by conventional learning that does not involve in-depth exploration of concepts. This study aims to analyze and test the influence of the Metaphorical Thinking approach based on Tri Kaya Parisudha on the critical thinking skills and creativity of elementary school students. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent pre-test post-test control group design pattern. The subjects of the study were grade IV students who were selected through cluster random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using validated critical thinking and creativity skills test instruments, while data analysis was carried out using the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) technique which was processed with the help of IBM SPSS 30.0 for Windows software. The results of the analysis showed a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. Students in the experimental class showed a higher average increase in critical thinking and creativity scores than students in the control class. The significance value of the MANOVA results of 0.000 (p < 0.05) indicates that the Metaphorical Thinking approach based on Tri Kaya Parisudha has a significant effect on improving students' critical thinking skills and creativity. These findings suggest that the integration of local values in innovative learning approaches can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of 21st century learning.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengembangan dan penyediaan media pembelajaran dan terbatasnya media pembelajaran berbasis digital sehingga menyebapkan kualitas pendidikan menjadi menurun dan akan berdampak pada minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan media komik digital interaktif berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada mata pelajaran IPAS dengan topik fotosintesis siswa kelas IV (empat) yang dikembangkan berbasis FlipBook. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang dilaksanakan menggunakan model penelitian ADDIE. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuesioner dengan memberikan lembar penilaian kepada empat responden yang terdiri dari ahli materi, ahli media, dan dua praktisi dan angket uji coba respons yang diberikan kepada siswa kelas IV (empat). Data yang diperoleh dari hasil uji para ahli kemudian dianalisis menggunakan rumus Gregory yang telah dimodifikasi. Nilai yang diperoleh dari keempat responden adalah 1,00 dengan kualifikasi keberterimaan produk sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut maka dapat dikatakan bahwa media komik digital interaktif ini dinyatakan valid dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Implikasi pada penelitian pengembangan ini yaitu adanya media komik digital interaktif berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada mata pelajaran IPAS dengan topik fotosintesis siswa kelas IV (empat) dengan kualifikasi yaitu sangat baik. Media komik digital interaktif ini dapat membantu guru dalam penyampaian materi untuk siswa khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPAS dengan topik fotosintesis.

Abstract

The low critical reasoning ability of elementary school students shows the weakness of the learning process that encourages students to think at a higher level. This is exacerbated by the lack of use of innovative learning media and learning activities that do not demand active student involvement. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of digital pop-up book learning media on the human digestive system based on HOTS. The type of research used is development research with the ADDIE model. The research subjects consisted of 2 material experts, 2 media experts, 2 design experts, 3 teachers, 3 students for individual trials, 9 students for small group trials, 15 control group students, and 23 experimental group students at the implementation stage. Data were collected through questionnaires and tests, using instruments in the form of rating scales and multiple-choice questions. The data analysis techniques used include qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the media was considered feasible to use based on the validation of experts and positive responses from teachers and students. The use of this media also proved effective in improving students' critical reasoning skills, which was shown through the difference in results between the control and experimental groups. The conclusion of this study states that HOTS-based digital pop-up book is a feasible, practical, and effective learning medium to be used in elementary schools. The implication is that interactive digital media can be an innovative alternative in developing higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

Pendidikan dihadapkan pada berbagai permasalahan, seperti kurangnya pemanfaatan teknologi, pengembangan media, dan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang efektif. Siswa memiliki kebutuhan dasar yang harus dipenuhi untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran berbasis saintifik pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia untuk kelas V SD Negeri 1 Astina, dan untuk menilai kelayakan penggunaannya. Subjek penelitian adalah guru wali kelas V dan sembilan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Astina. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE (analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, evaluasi) yang sistematis. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk video pembelajaran ini layak digunakan. Penilaian oleh ahli isi mata pelajaran memperoleh persentase 96%, ahli desain pembelajaran 94%, ahli media pembelajaran 96%, uji coba guru 89%, dan uji coba kelompok kecil 99,5%, semuanya dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Dengan demikian, video pembelajaran berbasis saintifik ini efektif dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar, terutama pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia, dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan saintifik di sekolah dasar masih jarang digunakan, karena dominan media yang digunakan hanya sebatas buku siswa. Hal ini membuat siswa bosan karena pembelajaran bersifat monoton. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book berbasis saintifik pada materi Keanekaragaman Hayati Flora dan Fauna Khas Indonesia kelas V sekolah dasar yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Model ADDIE terdiri atas 5 tahap yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Subjek pengembangan ini adalah e-book berbasis saintifik pada materi IPAS kelas V sekolah dasar yang diuji kepada siswa kelas V sebanyak 30 siswa, sementara itu objeknya adalah validitas dan kepraktisan e-book. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam peneitian ini adalah metode observasi dan kuesioner. Instrumen pengumpulan data yakni lembar kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif persentase dan kategoris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan uji validitas dan kepraktisan dengan kualifikasi sangat baik. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa, kebaruan pendekatan saintifik pada e-book yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai penunjang pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada peningkatan literasi digital di kalangan siswa dan guru.

Abstract

Learning in elementary schools requires approaches that can enhance students’ abilities, particularly scientific literacy, which includes understanding, interpreting, and applying scientific concepts in everyday life. However, conventional teaching practices still commonly used in classrooms lead to low levels of cooperative character and scientific literacy among students. This study aims to examine the effect of the Panca Pramana learning model on students’ cooperative character and scientific literacy. The type of research conducted is a quasi-experiment with a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students, totaling 62 students, with the research sample being class VA and VB. Data collection methods and instruments included questionnaires and essay tests. The data analysis methods applied were descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. The results showed that the average score of cooperative character in the experimental group (83.26) was higher than that of the control group (71.16), and the average score of scientific literacy in the experimental group (82.32) was higher than that of the control group (67.10). Based on the results of data analysis, cooperative character and scientific literacy were found to be significant (0.000 < 0.05). Thus, learning through the Panca Pramana learning model has a positive effect on the cooperative character and scientific literacy of fifth-grade students. The implication of this study is that by applying the Panca Pramana learning model, students better understand the learning material provided and participate more actively in the learning process.
