Abstract

Hidroponik merupakan metode yang tepat untuk mengoptimalkan hasil pada urban farming. Sistem hidroponik terdiri dari beberapa macam sistem, salah satu diantaranya adalah sistem wick. Sistem wick atau sistem sumbu merupakan sistem hidroponik yang sederhana dan memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang rendah untuk pemula. Pelatihan ini dilakukan di Masjid Miftahul Huda, Kabupaten Subang. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan keterampilan dan kecakapan ataupun keahlian yang berguna bagi masyarakat sekitar masjid miftahul huda sehingga keterampilan tersebut dapat menghasilkan nilai tambah berupa pendapatan dan diharapkan dapat menjadi bekal untuk masyarakat sekitar berwirausaha. Metode yang digunakan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu: (1) Melakukan sosialisasi kepada warga berkaitan dengan pengertian dan manfaat budidaya hidroponik dengan sistem hidroponik yang diperkenalkan yaitu wick system. (2) Memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan dengan cara melakukan praktek secara langsung bagaimana cara bertanam hidroponik dengan wick system. (3) Memberikan pendampingan yang diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan. (4) Evaluasi hasil. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa dengan adanya pelatihan ini jamaah Masjid Miftahul Huda terampil dalam melaksanakan tahapan-tahapan kegiatan hidroponik sistem wick sehingga kegiatan ini dapat dilanjutkan sebagai kegiatan berwirausaha bagi jamaah Masjid Miftahul Huda.

Abstract

Abstract Sustainable Food Courts (P2L) is an activity of utilizing yards as a source of food in a sustainable manner to increase the availability, accessibility, use and income of the community. P2L is a government program in dealing with food insecurity. Optimization of P2L by empowering women in the use of yards as a source of family food by cultivating various types of vegetable and medicinal plants as additional food availability. P2L aims to empower women farmers (KWT) to have knowledge, skills, motivation in utilizing the yard as a source of food and family income and being able to carry out environmentally friendly and economical plant cultivation through conventional and simple hydroponic plant cultivation systems. The method used is group participation involving the community in activities: counseling, training and mentoring. In the cultivation practice, participants were given knowledge about preparing planting media, seeding and planting. The activity begins with the practice of preparing good planting media for vegetable crops. In this activity group members were able to prepare planting media with good media composition. KWT Akur members are generally skilled in plant cultivation practices. KWT Akur is very enthusiastic about P2L activities and is very skilled in good plant cultivation practices. The motivation of KWT Akur members needs to be increased through regular assistance by optimizing activities and support from the Subang District Food Security Service. P2L in KWT Akur, is expected to improve the economy and use of yards as a provider of food sources and household nutrition Keywords: yard land; Food security; Food; sustainable Abstrak Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) merupakan kegiatan pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan secara berkelanjutan untuk meningkatan ketersediaan, aksesibilitas, pemanfaatan dan pendapatan masyarakat. P2L adalah program pemerintah dalam penanganan rawan pangan.Optimalisasi P2L dengan memberdayakan wanita dalam pemanfaatan pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan keluarga dengan membudidayakan berbagai jenis tanaman sayuran dan obat sebagai tambahan ketersediaan pangan.P2L bertujuan untuk memberdayakan wanita Tani (KWT) agar memiliki pengetahuan,ketrampilan,memotivasi dalam memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan dan pendapatan keluarga serta dapat melaksanakan budidaya tanaman ramah lingkungan dan ekonomis melalui sistem budidaya tanaman konvensional dan hidroponik sederhana. Metode yang digunakan adalah partisipasi kelompok yang melibatkan masyarakat dalam kegiatan: penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pada praktek budidaya peserta diberikan pengetahuan tentang persiapan media tanam,penyemaian dan penanaman. Kegiatan dimulai dengan praktek persiapan media tanam yang baik untuk tanaman sayuran. Pada kegiatan ini anggota kelompok mampu menyiapkan media tanam dengan komposisi media yang baik. Anggota KWT Akur umumnya terampil dalam praktek budidaya tanaman. KWT Akur sangat antusias dalam kegiatan P2L dan sangat terampil dalam praktek budidaya tanaman dengan baik. Motivasi anggota KWT Akur perlu ditingkatkan melalui pendampingan secara berkala dengan mengoptimalkan kegiatan dan dukungan dari Dinas Ketahanan Pangan Kabupaten Subang. Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide education to the public regarding the Utilization of Household Organic Waste to Become Compost Fertilizer in Increasing Care for the Environment. The method used the method in writing this article uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-explanative model which intends to provide a detailed description of the work program for making compost, including by raising awareness, counseling or short lectures and demonstrating how to make compost. Adpaun as a result of community awareness activities for the environment has increased, especially in organic waste which is used as compost. This can be seen from the many questions asked by the people who participated in the extension activities. The community gains insight into the manufacture and benefits of compost from organic waste which is accelerated with the help of an EM4 (effective microorganism) activator. The finished organic compost can be used by the community to be an alternative to chemical fertilizers or fertilizer from factories, a substitute for planting media, and if it can be produced on a large scale or en masse, it will have additional value. The creation of a community environment that is clean, healthy and cares about health both personally and for the environment.

Abstract

The research aims to determine; (1) the response of growth and yield of rice plants to various doses of roasted husks, and (2) doses of roasted husks that have a positive effect on the growth and yield of rice plants of the Inpari 32 variety. The study was carried out for 3 (months) months, starting from January to March 2022. This research was carried out with an experimental approach using a Randomized Block Design (RBD), 6 doses of burnt husk treatment and repeated five times, so that there were 30 experimental units. The variables observed were plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of productive tillers per clump, number of shoots per clump, panicle length, number of pithy grain per panicle, weight of 1000 grains of grain, yield of dry grain harvested per clump and per plot. The data obtained in the study were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) if there was a significant effect, then Duncan's multiple-distance further test was carried out at a significance level of 5 percent. The results showed: (1) Burned husk treatment had a significant effect on plant height, number of tillers per clump, number of productive tillers per clump, number of panicles per clump, number of pithy grain per panicle, weight of 1000 grains of grain, yield of dry grain harvested per clump. and per plot, but had no significant effect on panicle length. and (2) The highest harvested dry grain yields were obtained at doses of roasted husks of 4 and 5 tons/ha, namely 6.65 kg and 7.70 kg per plot or equivalent to 7.39 tonnes per hectare and 8.56 tonnes per hectare.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of NPK fertilizer and bean sprout extract (BSE) on the growth and yield of cauliflower plants and to determine the right dose of the combination of NPK fertilizer and bean sprout extract, so as to provide maximum results on the growth and yield of cauliflower plants in the lowlands. The experiment was carried out in Pusakanagara District, Subang Regency, West Java Province. With an altitude of 15 m above sea level, the air temperature ranges from 270C–300C. The experiment was carried out from October to December 2022. The study used an experimental method and a randomized block design with four treatments and six replications. The treatment consisted of P0: 5 g NPK (as control), P1: 5 g NPK + 75 g/L, P2: 5 g NPK + 100 g/L, P3: 5 g NPK + 125 g/L. The results showed that all treatments of a combination of NPK fertilizer and bean sprout extract had a significant effect on plant height (14 and 28 days after planting(DAP)), number of leaves (14, 28, and 35 DAP), leaf diameter (14 and 35 DAP), flower weight and flower diameter. For the P3 treatment, the combination dose of 5 g of NPK fertilizer and 125 g/l of bean sprout extract had a significant effect and showed the highest yield on plant height, number of leaves, and the highest weight of cauliflower, namely 379.25 g/plant. It can be concluded that the administration of bean sprout extract (BSE) was proven to increase the growth and yield of cauliflower varieties PM 126F. Doses of bean sprout extract fertilizer up to 125 mg/L of water are considered quite effective in efforts to increase the growth and yield of flower cabbage variety PM 126F.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of a combination of cropping systems and the number of plant seeds on the growth and yield of black rice plants. The research method used a simple randomized block design (RBD) model consisting of 6 treatment combinations with 4 replication, namely: 1) Combination of 25 x 25 tile planting system and one seed (J1B1), 2) Combination of 25 x 25 tile planting system and two seeds (J1B2), 3) Combination of 2:1 legowo cropping system and one seed (J2B1), 4) Combination of 2:1 legowo cropping system and two seeds (J2B1), 5) Combination of 4:1 legowo cropping system and one seed (J3B1), and 6) Combination legowo 4:1 cropping system and two seeds (J3B2). The results showed that the combination treatment of different cropping systems and number of seeds affected the observation of plant height at 4, 6, and 8 week after planting (WAP), as well as the number of tillers at 4, 6, and 8 WAP; number of productive tillers aged 6 and 8 WAP. Meanwhile, the combination treatment of different planting systems and the number of seeds had no effect on plant height at 2 WAP, number of tillers at 2 WAP, and HGW/plant weight. The combination of the 2:1 legowo cropping system with the number of one seed gave the best effect on observing plant height, number of productive tillers, number of panicles, and weight of 100 HGW grains. However, the combination treatment of different cropping systems and the number of seeds resulted in the same or not significantly different dry harvested grain weight (HGW) and milled dry grain weight (DGW).

Abstract

Rice in the world consists of several types, including white rice, brown rice, black rice, and brown rice. Rice is also grouped into two groups, namely glutinous rice containing high amylopectin (low amylose) and non-glutinous rice, namely rice with low amylopectin content (high amylose). Amylose content determines the quality of taste, fluffiness and other physical properties. Rice that has a high amylose content has the properties of soft/hard rice, while rice that has a low amylose content has the character of a fluffier rice. This research was conducted with the aim to determine the amylose content found in black rice, especially local West Java. The research was conducted in October 2018 at the BB-PADI Sukamandi Subang laboratory. The tools used are beakers, measuring flasks, funnels, analytical scales, spray bottles, measuring pipettes, and a spectrophotometer. The materials used were Bandung black rice, Subang black rice, Bogor black rice, and Indramayu black rice, amylose standard solution, methylene blue indicator, 0.02 N HCl, distilled water, 95% ethanol solution, NaOH solution, iodine solution, and others. Determination of amylose content using the spectrophotometric method (AOAC, 1999), was carried out in two stages, namely: the Standard Curve Preparation Stage and the Sample Determination Stage. From the research results, the following data were obtained: the amylose content of black rice from Subang was 12.72%w/b, the amylose content of black rice from Bandung was 17.21%w/b, the amylose content of black rice from Bogor was 13.67%w /w and the amylose content of black rice from Indramayu was 21.18% w/w. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that black rice from three regions in West Java, namely Bandung, Subang and Bogor, is included in the low amylose content category (10-20%) and black rice from Indramayu is included in the medium amylose content group (20-25%). The lowest amylose content was owned by black rice from Subang with a value of 12.72% and the highest amylose content was owned by black rice from Indramayu with a value of 21.18% w/w.

Abstract

Kemandirian kesehatan masyarakat merupakan hal yang perlu diwujudkan, oleh karena itu berbagai langkah dilakukan untuk mendukung tujuan tersebut. Manggis (Garcinia mangostana Linn.) merupakan tanaman tropis asli Indonesia. Khasiat buah ini sangat banyak untuk kesehatan, terutama pada bagian kulitnya mengandung zat tertentu diantaranya “xanton”, yang berkhasiat sebagai antioksidan sebagai penangkal radikal bebas. Desa Ponggang merupakan daerah penghasil buah manggis terbesar di kabupaten Subang dimana pada setiap panennya menyisakan buah manggis afkiran yang berpotensi menjadi limbah sehingga sangat dibutuhkan informasi dan sosialisasi terkait teknologi dalam pengolahan kulit buah manggis. Kegiatan sosialisasi teknologi tepat guna ini merupakan implemetasi dari raihan Hibah Program Kosabangsa (Kolaborasi Sosial Membangun masyarakat) tahun 2023 yang didanai oleh DRTPM Kemdikbudristek dengan mengusung tema untuk mendukung kemandirian Kesehatan melalui pemanfaatan kulit manggis. Kegiatan ini mendapat respon positif dari masyarakat desa Ponggang terutama klota Mahkota Manggis dan Sadang Jaya (sebagai Mitra Sasaran). Program Kosabangsa Universitas Subang (sebagai Tim Pelaksana) dan Universitas Islam Malang (sebagai Tim Pendamping) ditujukan untuk memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan manggis afkiran dan limbah kulit manggis menjadi minuman fungsional kaya antioksidan dengan menggunakan teknologi tepat guna, sehingga dapat menghasilkan produk yang mempunyai nilai jual dan untuk mencapai kemandirian kesehatan serta dapat meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.  Alat mekanisasi yang digunakan terdiri dari alat penggiling, alat pengering, dan mesin ekstraktor

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman dan teknologi memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata pada berbagai macam bidang, salah satunya pada bidang pertanian. Perkembangan teknologi bagi para petani milenial, dituntut untuk dapat berinovasi untuk menghasilkan produk pertanian yang bergizi, menarik dan mempunyai nilai jual yang tinggi. Salah satu contoh perkembangan pada sektor pertanian adalah kegiatan pascapanen packaging dan branding. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan keterampilan dan kecakapan ataupun keahlian terutama pada proses packaging dan branding yang dapat meningkatkan nilai jual pada produk pertanian. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan bahwa dengan adanya pelatihan ini kelompok wanita tani pisang terampil dalam melaksanakan tahapan-tahapan kegiatan packaging dan branding pada komoditi hasil pertanian. Abstract

Pangan merupakan hal mendasar yang harus terpenuhi dalam kehidupan manusia. Kebutuhan pangan semakin lama memperlihatkan angka yang terus bertambah, namun tidak diiringi dengan perluasan areal pertanian. Pandemi covid 19 semakin menambah permasalahan karena perusahaan banyak yang memPHK karyawannya. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut diantaranya dengan mengoptimalkan peran ibu rumah tangga dengan cara budidaya di lahan pekarangan. Pemerintah dalam hal ini Badan Ketahanan Pangan (BKP) Kementerian Pertanian membuat program pekarangan pangan lestari (P2L) yang ditujukan kepada kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) di setiap daerah. Desa Pagon, kecamatan Purwadadi, kabupaten Subang merupakan desa yang masih berkembang dan butuh pendampingan dalam pembangunannya. Kelompok Wanita tani (KWT) Pisang merupakan kelompok yang cukup aktif dalam berbagai program pemerintah, namun masih membutuhkan tambahan pengetahuan dalam hal budidaya tanaman dan keberagaman tanaman sayuran. Kegiatan pelatihan tematik P2L yang diprakarsai oleh Dinas Ketahanan Pangan (DKP) kabupaten Subang dan Fakultas agrorektan Universitas Subang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan budidaya tanaman pekarangan khususnya jenis sayuran. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan cara: sosialisasi, penyampaian materi, dan pelatihan budidaya tanaman. Masyarakat desa Pagon terutama ibu-ibu kelompok tani (KWT) sangat bersemangat dan mendapatkan manfaat dari kegiatan yang dilaksanakan.
