Abstract

This activity aims to provide an understanding of the application of digital media in creating and documenting official letters carried out at SMPN Padang Pariaman Regency. Based on observations, it is known that the structure and language used in official letters are still not in accordance with Indonesian language rules. Apart from that, it was also found that the preparation and storage of archives within the school was still inadequate. School archives or documents are arranged in cabinets, so it takes a long time to find them, and they are not well maintained due to improper arrangement and storage. Therefore, an activity is needed to correct errors in writing official letters and documenting existing school archives. Based on this explanation, it is necessary to carry out training activities regarding the creation and documentation of digital-based official letters using the Arteri application at State Middle Schools in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra. The research results show that in letter writing activities, it is important to know the structure and language of the letter so that it becomes easier to write a good and correct letter. Apart from that, documenting letters is important because it refers to the current digital era, so other roles are needed for changing times. By utilizing technology that will make the documentation process easier.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendesain model bahan ajar keterampilan menulis menggunakan model pembelajaran REACT. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdapat 10 tahapan dari model Dick & Carey yang dibatasi menjadi 8 tahapan. Data hasil wawancara dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data kualitatif. Nilai angket dan hasil tugas digunakan untuk menentukan data kuantitatif. Uji coba prototipe dan uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukkan model bahan ajar keterampilan menulis sudah praktis. Berdasarkan uji coba kelompok besar terdapat 5 siswa yang tidak tuntas dari 28 siswa, sedangkan angket yang diberikan kepada kelompok besar menunjukan hasil sangat positif. Validitas instrumen dikategorikan sangat tinggi dengan persentase 0,99. thitung ? ttabel (43,659 ? 2,052) berarti terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara model bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan hasil belajar.

Abstract

The novel Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati represents the realities of the characters’ lives through the use of a firm, direct, and harshly nuanced style of language. One of the prominent linguistic features in this novel is dysphemism, which is employed as a stylistic device to openly depict conflict, emotional outbursts, and social criticism. In linguistic studies, dysphemism is not merely understood as the use of coarse expressions, but rather as a linguistic strategy that serves aesthetic and pragmatic functions in constructing literary meaning. Therefore, an analysis of dysphemism in this novel is essential to reveal the deepening of characterization and the social messages conveyed by the author. This study aims to describe the forms, classifications, and functions of dysphemism in the novel Seporsi Mie Ayam Sebelum Mati. The research was conducted through a library-based study, with the novel serving as the primary data source. The research population comprises all linguistic units found in the novel, while the research sample consists of words, phrases, and expressions containing dysphemistic elements. The research instruments include data cards and a dysphemism classification guideline based on stylistic and pragmatic theories. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively using content analysis techniques through the stages of identification, categorization, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that dysphemism in the novel can be classified into four forms: insults, mockery, negative labeling, and pejoration. These dysphemistic expressions function to realistically represent the characters’ emotions, construct characterization, strengthen plot dynamics, and convey social criticism both implicitly and explicitly.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam pendidikan telah menjadi kebutuhan mendesak di era modern. Platform pembelajaran digital Smile Learning dirancang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan kompetensi mahasiswa melalui pendekatan yang lebih fleksibel dan interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan Smile Learning terhadap kompetensi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia (PBSI) Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif korelasional melibatkan 52 mahasiswa PBSI angkatan 2024 yang telah menggunakan platform Smile Learning minimal tiga semester. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur dengan skala Likert empat tingkat (Sangat Tidak Setuju, Tidak Setuju, Setuju, Sangat Setuju) yang mencakup 10 pernyataan tentang berbagai aspek pembelajaran digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penerapan Smile Learning mencapai 3,52 pada skala 4 (kategori sangat tinggi), dengan mayoritas responden memberikan respons positif pada setiap aspek. Semua aspek pembelajaran menunjukkan persentase respon positif (Setuju dan Sangat Setuju) di atas 75%, dengan disiplin waktu mencapai 100% respon positif. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa Smile Learning memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi mahasiswa PBSI, mencakup aspek kognitif, afektif, dan metakognitif. Platform ini berhasil menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung pengembangan holistik mahasiswa sebagai calon pendidik profesional.
