Rapid technological developments are not directly proportional to the management of records in an agency. This is evidenced by the fact that there are still many agencies that still manage their archives manually so that it takes a long time for the processing to reach the information retrieval process. One agency that has not yet managed its archives electronically is the Wali Nagari Dilam Office, Solok Regency. Therefore, there is a need for training related to managing records electronically using the ARTERI application to make it easier for village officials to manage their records. After conducting the training, there was an increase in the ability of the participants by as much as 70% so it is hoped that it will increase again so that all archives can be managed properly and can be found quickly and precisely.

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang telah dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, selain itu kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk memudahkan guru dalam melakukan penelusuran informasi dalam bentuk literasi digital untuk data-data yang akan dijadikan dalam tulisannya. Kegiatan ini juga merupakan langkah awal menyiapkan guru untuk menjadi guru yang profesional. Metode pengabdian ini adalah metode pelatihan. Mitra penelitian ini adalah SDN 20 Koto Gaek Guguk. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket kepuasaan yang diberikan kepada peserta pelatihan dan kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil angket kepuasaan, kegiatan pengabdian ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah guru SDN 20 Koto Gaek Guguk, hal ini juga didukung oleh hasil tulisan guru yang dikumpulkan. Sebagian besar guru sudah mampu menghasilkan artikel ilmiah dari laporan penelitian tindakan kelas yang biasa ditulis guru. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan semua kemampuan guru SDN 20 Koto Gaek Guguk dalam menulis artikel ilmiah dan tata cara publikasi artikel ilmiah yang sesui dengan template yang sudah ditentukan pihak jurnal.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Desain yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimental) dengan rancangan control group pretest -posttest design. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik simple random sampling untuk menentukan kelas yang akan diberikan perlakuan (eksperiment) dan kelas yang tidak diberi perlakuan (kontrol). ). Intrumen penelitian dalam penelitian ini berupa tes unjuk kerja, yaitu tes keterampilan menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu sebelum dan sesudah. Berdasarkan uji-t dari kedua kelas yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen bahwa diketahui uji-t kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol (5,52>4,58). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan model project based learning (PjBL) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks artikel ilmiah populer siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu dibandikan dengan pembelajaran langsung atau tanpa penggunaan model pembelajaran.

This study examines the impact of the REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) model on the writing skills of university students. The research objectives were to describe students' writing skills before and after using the REACT model and to investigate the model's effect on their writing performance. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The sample consisted of 40 undergraduate students enrolled in an English writing course. The experimental group (n = 20) received writing instruction using the REACT model, while the control group (n = 20) received traditional writing instruction. Pre-test and post-test writing assessments were used to evaluate students' writing skills. The results showed that the experimental group’s writing skills improved from a mean score of 56.94 (SD = 8.12) in the pre-test to 75.88 (SD = 6.45) in the post-test, indicating a significant improvement from a “Fair” to a “More than sufficient” level. The control group's mean scores were 55.78 (SD = 7.89) and 61.23 (SD = 8.01) in the pre-test and post-test, respectively. A paired t-test revealed a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group (t(19) = 4.39, p .05), suggesting that the REACT model had a positive impact on students' writing skills. These findings highlight the potential of the REACT model as an effective instructional approach for enhancing writing skills in university students.

Writing skills are an intellectual activity of a person in pouring ideas or ideas that are in his mind through written language. This study aims to analyze the structure and linguistic rules of the explanatory text of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative research. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The source of data in this study is an explanatory text by class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Pariaman in the 2023/2024 school year, which is an instrument or research tool is a person or human instrument, namely the researcher himself. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the structure and linguistic rules in the explanatory text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Pariaman are still lacking. Judging from the language, the use of causal conjunctions is good, the use of chronological conjunctions is lacking, the use of prepositions is lacking, the use of capital letters is lacking, the use of comma punctuation is lacking, and the use of standard words is good.

This activity aims to provide an understanding of the application of digital media in the manufacture and documentation of official letters carried out at SMPN Padang Pariaman Regency. Based on observations, it is known that the structure and language used in official letters are still not in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian language. In addition, it was also found that the preparation and storage of archives in schools was still inadequate. School archives or documents are arranged in a cabinet, so it takes a long time to find them and is not well maintained due to improper arrangement and storage. Therefore, an activity is needed to correct errors in writing official letters and documenting existing school archives. Based on this explanation, it is necessary to conduct training activities regarding the creation and documentation of digital-based official letters using the Arterial application at SMP Negeri Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra

This study aims to describe the process and outcomes of transforming plastic waste into ecobricks by students of the Community Service Program (KKN) from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) in Tandikek Selatan Village, Patamuan District, Padang Pariaman Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research focuses on direct observation, interviews, and documentation throughout the collection of plastic waste, ecobrick production, and the installation of a village nameplate made from ecobricks. The data were analyzed narratively to capture community participation and the challenges encountered during the program. The findings show that 250 plastic bottles filled with compacted waste were successfully converted into alternative building materials, resulting in a 3x3 meter village sign. Beyond reducing plastic waste, this activity raised community awareness about environmentally friendly waste management. Strategic locations such as local food stalls served as the primary sources of recyclable waste. The project demonstrates that community-based initiatives through KKN can be an effective and creative solution for waste issues while also strengthening local identity. The use of descriptive qualitative methods effectively revealed the social and educational meaning behind the activity.

Tradisi Azan dua kali pada pelaksanaan Sholat Jum’at di Desa Pucuang Anam, Nagari Tandikek Selatan, Kecamatan Patamuan, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman merupakan warisan praktik keagamaan yang masih dipertahankan hingga saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan tradisi azan dua kali serta memahami latar belakang dan makna yang terkandung di dalamnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kepada imam, muadzin, ninik mamak, dan jamaah setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi azan dua kali dilakukan pertama di luar masjid untuk memberi tahu masyarakat akan masuknya waktu Sholat Jum’at dan kedua di dalam masjid setelah khatib naik mimbar sebagai penanda dimulainya khutbah. Tradisi ini memiliki makna simbolik sebagai bentuk penghormatan pada sunah Rasulullah SAW yang dilanjutkan oleh Khalifah Utsman bin Affan RA, sekaligus menjadi sarana penguat syiar Islam di tengah masyarakat. Pelaksanaan tradisi ini juga menegaskan identitas keagamaan masyarakat Pucuang Anam yang berpegang teguh pada ajaran dan adat salingka nagari.
