Abstract

Living in brotherhood is the Maluku philosophy of life. This philosophy is a legacy that is deeply ingrained in family life. Over time, this philosophy has become less widely used and often becomes unimportant. Therefore, this philosophy will be used to help improve student cohesion. The method used is group guidance techniques, which guide students in improving cohesion. The program results show that strengthening the value of living in brotherhood through group guidance effectively increases high school student cohesion. This process successfully changes students' social interaction patterns from individualistic to collective, from exclusive to inclusive, and from less caring to more empathetic and cooperative.

Abstract

The world of education and work is currently undergoing rapid change due to technological advances, globalization, and changing job market needs. Another emerging issue is students' low career readiness. Research shows that most high school students still fall into the moderate career readiness category, meaning they lack a well-developed career plan and are unable to make independent career decisions. This suggests that training can help guidance and counseling teachers adapt to the needs of modern, technology-based career services. Improved competency is also evident in the ability to develop career guidance and counseling programs and career counseling skills.

Abstract

Violence cases are currently rampant in the community, therefore appropriate handling is required. Training on violence counselors is needed to address the community's needs regarding handling violence cases, so that the TIM can help address problems or issues of violence in Central Maluku. This training has seen drastic changes, as the TIM is able to understand how to report cases, assist victims, provide trauma recovery, and coordinate with institutions. With this knowledge, victims will be more confident in reporting cases due to the sense of security and support from the counselor team. Victims will receive integrated psychological, legal, and social services, which will help them recover emotionally and socially. Cross-sectoral collaboration will expedite the handling and decision-making process. Thus, the TIM can assist and build collaboration with the government.

Abstract

The role of counseling and guidance professionals in modern education has become increasingly vital, particularly in addressing the diverse psychological and emotional needs of students. Among the critical competencies required for effective counseling is the ability to administer and interpret psychological tests, which are essential tools for assessing various psychological domains such as intelligence, personality, and emotional functioning. This study explores the significance of enhancing the skills of counseling guidance students as psychological testers, focusing on theoretical foundations, practical applications, and the need for targeted training programs. The study employed a quantitative approach, assessing participants' skills through a series of tests conducted during a two-day training session. The training aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, offering students hands-on experience in administering and interpreting psychological tests. A total of 25 students participated in the training, and their performance was evaluated through written exams and practical tests. The results revealed that while most participants demonstrated a good understanding of the theoretical aspects, there were varying levels of proficiency in practical testing skills. The training proved effective in enhancing students' abilities, but it also highlighted the need for more structured and continuous practice to build confidence and competence. The findings suggest that targeted training programs are crucial for preparing counseling guidance students to meet the demands of their future professional roles. This study underscores the importance of investing in the professional development of counseling guidance students through comprehensive training programs. By equipping students with the necessary skills to administer and interpret psychological tests, these programs can improve the quality of counseling services and contribute to better psychological outcomes for individuals.

Abstract

The digital age has fundamentally transformed the patterns of interaction, learning and values formation amongst Indonesia’s younger generation, whilst also having serious consequences for the erosion of children’s character and moral values. This article aims to analyse the role of family education and parental digital literacy in the moral development of school-age children in the digital age. The study employs a literature review using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that the family plays a crucial role as the initial foundation for children’s character development through setting a good behavioural example, open communication, and guidance on technology use consistent with an authoritative parenting style. Parents’ digital literacy is a key factor in strengthening children’s character, as parents’ ability to access, analyse, evaluate and use digital information ethically determines the success of monitoring their children’s online activities. Parents with a high level of digital literacy can act as filters, facilitators and role models in the wise use of technology. Effective digital parenting strategies include co-viewing, setting screen time limits, open communication, and continuous education through collaborative programmes between families, schools and the government. The integration of family education and parental digital literacy creates a safe and educational digital ecosystem for the moral development of school-age children, with religious values, responsibility, empathy and digital ethics as the main pillars.
