Abstract

Pendidikan seni memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk karakter dan keterampilan siswa. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis sembilan isu utama dalam pendidikan seni, yaitu akhlak, akses, perkembangan teknologi, multikulturalisme, kreativitas, nilai seni, keberlanjutan, evaluasi, dan peran guru. Setiap isu dianalisis dengan strategi yang relevan untuk mengatasi tantangan, termasuk integrasi nilai-nilai akhlak dalam kurikulum seni, program inklusi untuk mengatasi kesenjangan akses, dan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran seni. Selain itu, artikel ini menekankan pentingnya kurikulum multikultural, pendekatan holistik dalam pengajaran seni, dan evaluasi berbasis proses kreatif. Peran guru sebagai fasilitator dan mentor diuraikan untuk mendukung pembelajaran seni yang inklusif dan kreatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian literatur dan analisis konten dari berbagai sumber yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan strategi-strategi yang tepat, pendidikan seni dapat menjadi lebih relevan dan berkelanjutan, memberikan pengalaman pendidikan yang bermakna bagi semua siswa. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat membantu pendidik seni mengembangkan pendekatan yang lebih efektif dalam menyediakan pengalaman pendidikan seni yang berkelanjutan dan bermakna.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media manipulatif berbentuk rumah adat Honai Papua sebagai media pembelajaran IPA pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Media ini dirancang untuk mendukung pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivisme dan kontekstual, serta mendorong pemahaman konsep lingkungan, adaptasi makhluk hidup, dan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam secara bertanggung jawab. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 25 siswa kelas V SD Agape Terpadu di Kabupaten Nabire. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, serta angket validasi ahli dan respon peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media manipulatif Honai memiliki validitas tinggi (skor rata-rata 89%) dan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Penggunaan media juga meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, rasa ingin tahu, serta kemampuan memahami konsep IPA secara kontekstual. Kesimpulan utama menunjukkan bahwa media manipulatif Honai Papua efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif media konkret dalam pembelajaran IPA sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Authentic assessment is an evaluation approach designed to measure students' competencies comprehensively and contextually in arts and culture learning. This study aims to examine the implementation of authentic assessment, measurement results, and its effectiveness in improving motivation and quality of arts and culture learning at the elementary and secondary school levels. The research method used a literature study with techniques of reviewing various sources such as books, journals, articles, and previous research results relevant to the field of arts and culture and the Merdeka Curriculum. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by organizing and presenting the results of the literature review systematically to obtain comprehensive findings regarding the process and results of authentic assessment. The results of the study show that authentic assessment not only assesses artistic works but also the creative process and reflective attitudes of students, thereby supporting more interactive and meaningful learning. In addition, authentic assessment has a positive impact on increasing learning motivation and the development of students' multidimensional competencies. This study recommends teacher training and the development of assessment instruments as strategies to strengthen the implementation of authentic assessment in the field of arts and culture. Thus, authentic assessment plays an important role in improving the quality of arts education through a holistic and sustainable approach.

Abstract

Computational thinking (CT) is an essential skill for solving complex problems. This study aims to identify and analyze CT frameworks used as instructional techniques across various subjects. This research employs a literature review method. Data were obtained from the ERIC database using the keywords “computational thinking”, “science education.” From more than 600 articles published between 2012 and 2021, 32 articles were selected based on inclusion criteria. The selection process followed systematic stages: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. Data were analyzed using content analysis focusing on publication year, source, subject area, research participants, educational level, and CT frameworks. The results indicate that CT is implemented across multiple educational levels, from preschool to higher education, and is integrated into various subjects. CT approaches are frequently combined with STEM and constructivist approaches to enhance problem-solving skills. Common CT components include decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking, along with several variations of other CT components. Overall, CT is an effective approach that can be applied across disciplines to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The integration of CT in learning is recommended to improve the quality of education in the digital era.

Abstract

The Rejang Asta Dala dance, as a sacred dance in Ubud, functions not only within religious rituals but also as a medium of cultural education that transmits symbolic values and cultural meanings within its supporting community. However, contemporary practices indicate a shift in orientation toward technical and visual aspects, potentially reducing philosophical depth and the sacred character of the dance. This study aims to analyze aesthetic interactions in the process of transmitting symbolic values and cultural meanings in the Rejang Asta Dala dance. The research employs a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods, including participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study. Data analysis is conducted through hermeneutic and semiotic perspectives. The findings reveal that the aesthetic elements of the dance, namely movement, spatial orientation, costume, and music (gamelan), function as a symbolic system that encodes Balinese Hindu cosmology, such as Asta Dala, Dewata Nawa Sanga, and Tri Hita Karana. Cultural education takes place through a hermeneutic cycle involving embodied experience in ritual practice (ngayah), intergenerational reflection, and mediation by the customary community (banjar), thereby shaping reflective and agentic cultural subjects. Despite its effectiveness, the sustainability of this dance's educational function faces challenges from tourism and modernization, necessitating efforts to safeguard the integrity of ritual contexts and the community's role as guardian of meaning.
