Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships between job insecurity and its outcomes (job satisfaction and commitment), also to examine the moderator role of locus of control in this relationship. Data were collected from 143 employees across different industries, and also different job levels. A series of regressions are employed to test the hypotheses. The results showed that job insecurity was directly and negatively related to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The research findings also showed that locus of control moderated relations between job insecurity and two studied outcomes (job satisfaction and commitment). This study offers implications for managerial practices. This result suggest for manager how to overcome the impact of job insecurity on commitment and job satisfaction through locus of control. Abstract

Organizational ambidexterity has emerged as a new research paradigm in organizational theory, but some fundamental issues in this debate remain controversial. Ambidexterity is the ability to exploit existing capabilities and to explore new opportunities. Achieving exploitation and exploration enables organizational success, even organizational resilience to improve and maintain sustained superior performance, but creates tensions and challenging. The ambidextrous organization excels in utilizing existing products to enable additional innovation and to explore new opportunities to drive more radical innovation, but related research is limited. This article aims to advance our understanding of the prerequisites of organizational prerequisites, approaches to achieving them, and to address the impact of each level of individuals and organizations for the sustainability of ambidexterity organizational achievements keywords: organizational ambidexterity, exploration-exploitation.

Abstract

Innovation is very important for the competitive advantage of organizations to survive severe global competition and the rapidly changing business environment. Organizations or companies must be more innovative to grow, develop, and have competitive advantages and make profits. The success of innovation for the organization lies not only in the right decision to adopt innovation but more importantly in the implementation of innovation. Although there has been a lot of literature discussing innovation, it is still lacking which addresses the implementation of innovation. The present study aims to contribute to existing implementation literature by, first, the key factors of successful innovation implementation. Second, the process of implementing innovation. Third, the strategic aspect of the implementation of innovation. Fourth, discussing innovations that will be different at several levels or multi levels and types and social networks. Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships to which leadership style (task and relations oriented leadership) moderate the impact of conflict on employee performance. Data were collected from 92 employees in different job levels. Partial least squares variance-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the relationship in the models. The results showed that task and relation conflict was associated with employee performance. The research findings also showed that leadership styles moderated the relationship between conflict and employee performance. This study offers implications for managerial practices. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine empowerment leadership and its dimensions and include creative self-efficacy variables in influencing employee creativity. The study took a population of employees at three companies, the sample measurement using the Slovin formula to get 159 employees was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The results show that the increase in the practice of empowering leadership and creative self-efficacy of employees will increase employee creativity. Five dimensions of empowerment leadership, only the leading by example dimension has been shown to affect employee creativity. Companies are expected to apply leadership that empowers employees and create programs to increase employee creative self-efficacy in an effort to increase employee creativity.

Abstract

Purpose The aim of this research is to get a better understanding to answer customer perceptions of the relationship between brand image and repurchase intention through sequential mediation from consumer satisfaction to customer loyalty. Methodology A total of 101 employees with purposive sampling technique as the sample in this study. Hypothesis testing technique using multiple linear regression and mediation using macro process model No. 6 Findings The model of the relationship between brand image and repurchase intention through two mediation of customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is confirmed. Suggestions for further research to increase the number and coverage of the population. The practical implication is that companies must always improve and maintain their brand image to increase repurchase interest, because this increases customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and test the factors that increase employee creativity. This study examines moderating religiosity on the relationship between leadership, empowerment and employee level mediated by creative self-efficacy among employees in Jakarta. The research population was taken from the academic community of the National University, including employees, working students and alumni who have worked. The data was collected using a survey method by distributing questionnaires. The sample measurement was based on consideration of the good social research sample size according to the experts and was determined at 150. The sampling technique used was convenient sampling. The analytical method used in this research is testing moderation mediation with Macro Process 3.15V with model 15. The results show that leadership empowerment increases employee creativity both directly and indirectly. The indirect effect of empowerment leadership on employee creativity is through an increase in employee creative self-efficacy. The results also show additional insight that the level of employee religiosity moderates the influence of empowerment leadership on creativity in a negative direction. But the level of religiosity does not moderate the effect of employee creative self-efficacy on employee creativity. Practical implications are presented in this study.

Abstract

Buku ini memberikan wawasan yang menarik terutama bagi teori pengembangan kepemimpinan dan juga bagi para praktisi dalam pengembangan kepemimpinan dan praktisi yang hendak menerapkan pengembangan kepemimpinan. Bahasa yang jelas dan mudah dipahami meskipun bagi pembaca yang masih awam dengan teori kepemimpinan. Buku ini mampu memberikan gambaran meskipun tidak menjadi hal yang pasti atau patokan utama, tetapi setidaknya memberikan gambaran bagaimana kepemimpinan di berbagai negara yang masuk ke dalam kategori emerging market economies dikembangkan dan praktik-praktik kepemimpinan di negara tersebut, yang nantinya sebagai arahan kepemimpinan yang diperkirakan akan menguasai pasar dunia. Beberapa negara mungkin sudah tidak terlalu relevan atau tidak mewakili kejayaan emerging market economies dengan keadaan saat ini. Meski begitu, secara keseluruhan buku ini cukup mewakili kesuksesan negara-negara emerging market economies yang dikhususkan pada pengembangan kepemimpinan. Kesimpulannya, buku ini masih sangat relevan dan perlu untuk dibahas pada tahun-tahun ini.

Abstract

Although an embedded advertisement may not disrupt viewers’ attention to the main narrative fully, some research suggest that this ad is still perceived intrusive. Based on that reason, the present study aimed at investigating the embedded advertisement as micro narratives found in three most watched Indonesian sinetron, Ikatan Cinta, Panggilan, and Bintang Samudra. Advertisements attached in sinetron were classified into three typologies based on how connected they are with the main narrative, including natural, less natural, unnatural. There were two theories underlying this study, namely intrusive narrative from Coe (1986) and intrusive advertisement from Edwards et.al (2002). The current research employed descriptive-qualitative method as the data were in the form of textual and visual elements. The data sources were elicited from the latest episodes of three selected sinetron above from the official application or website and validated through investigator by involving linguistic experts. To analyze the data, the researcher employed a theory by Spradley (1980) that comprises domain analysis, taxonomy analysis, componential analysis, and cultural theme. The results showed that the unnatural advertisement is the most frequent typology appearing in three selected sinetron and is perceived as intrusive as it intrudes on viewers’ accessibility to the sinetron’s content.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji model moderasi mediasi motivasi. Penelitian memberikan kontribusi kepada literatur motivasi dengan mengusulkan model pemoderasian motivasi instrinsik pada pemediasian komitmen afektif di hubungan motivasi ekstrinsik ke kinerja tugas karyawan. Metode yang digunakan untuk pengujian mediasi moderasi dengan process v3.5 model no 58. Data diambil dari populasi pegawai perusahaan ekspedisi yang berlokasi di Jakarta. Pengukuran sampel dengan dasar ketentuan para ahli dan ditentukan sampel sebesar 103 responden. Sebanyak 103 responden dipilih dan diambil dengan cara pengambilan sampel metode convenience sampling. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa motivasi instrinsik memoderasi hubungan motivasi ekstrinsik dengan komitmen afektif dan memoderasi hubungan komitmen afektif dengan kinerja karyawan. Hasil pemoderasian pada pemediasian juga diuraikan. Implikasi praktis diuraikan dalam penelitian ini.
